Review this edition of the SPW here

Yibambe!

Welcome back to the SimplePlanes Weekly! There’s been some changes to the Weekly, but I’m sure you’ll enjoy it. Here to help me with this week’s edition is Jim1the1Squid. Stick around ‘till the end to see his special article.

The Great Area 51 Raid:

Homey Airport (KXTA) is a military airbase located inside the Nevada Test and Training Range. Sitting beside the dried-up Groom lake, the top-secret airport has long been a scapegoat for conspiracy theorists, and the public at large.

Some dudes decided they’d storm the base on September 20th, saying that “they can’t stop all of us.” Only a handful showed up out of the millions set to attend, and they had a wicked alien party.

But let’s take a moment and salute the absolute mad lad that Naruto ran at the base on live TV. Hats off to Kyle.

SimplePlanes News:

  • You can now pin comments on your posts. The owner of the forum post/upload can pin their or anyone else’s comment. It will float to the top of the page and have a darker highlight.

Editorial by Jim1the1Squidm

When you think of the mouthful “hfusiwjf29”, at first sight the word “noob” comes to mind, but when you think more about it, you realize that hfusiwjf29 is a very professional builder. Previously, he made a P-51 Mustang that flew, but with one of the major updates came the bad news: The plane couldn’t fly with the newer physics. So, he fixed it. It now works marvelously, and it looks super detailed, and is an overall success, earning him over 160 upvotes. It may not run well on certain mobile devices, but he still hopes “u can enjoy it.”

Now, a little history on the P-51 Mustang

So, the P-51 Mustang was one of the most revolutionary planes of WWII, being a long range, single seat fighter/fighter bomber that was used by numerous countries, like the Royal Air Force, or the country of origin, the USA. Hfusiwjf29’s version, the P-51D-30, is capable of holding the following armament:
-6x Wing-mounted Browning MG (1800 rounds)
-2x 1000lb bombs
-Up to 10 rockets

That’s all for the editorial!

Tums

Tums May have only joined 2 days ago, but he’s already reached silver rank with his amazing builds. His Saxum class heavy freighter is really quite astounding. Please give him a follow and try out his builds!

That’s it for this week’s edition of the SimplePlanes Weekly. A huge thank you to Jim for helping me out with this issue. Happy flying!

No one is taking over the SPW. As for your request, I don’t recall you ever asking to help me.

randomusername's island actually works beautifully on mobile, every single part has been XML Modded to have zero drag points, which significantly reduces lag. I haven't tried it yet, but I imagine that it works nicely on my "Half Eaten Bag of Chips on the Side of the Road" IPad Mini!

This one time, I actually laughed at that comment because I genuinely thought it was funny.

That’s the second time you badmouthed someone in my post. Do it again and I’ll be forced to block you.
