Ok, although engines will not work when they are in the map. The hotel has already been placed in the downtown area, and i'm planning to add a little courtyard, so I might be able to do something very similar to what you are suggesting.
Judging time is here! I am a very harsh grader, so do not feel bad about any low scores. Here's your score.
Looks: 8/10. Great looks. This seems like it is a scaled down version of what the actual colony ship would be.
Preparedness/feasibility: 7/10. No weapons or means of self defense, and there is a lack of tools for the colonists.
Handling: 7/10. Extremely stable. Easy to fly, but it takes very long to turn.
Personal enjoyment: 8/10. I really like this entry. It had great looks, and doesn't have any aspects that really interfere with my personal enjoyment of this spacecraft.
Rankings will come soon.
Judging time is upon us! Do not feel down about any bad scores, as I am a very harsh grader. You will outperform many.
Looks: 7/10. Strong shape with a few weird shapes and odd details, but still looks good.
Feasibility/preparedness: 8/10. A whole rover as well as cargo. Decent arsenal. A little small though.
Handling: 3/10. Very hard to control. I think more RCNs would have been helpful.
Personal enjoyment: 8/10. Something about this entry appeals to me. It looks practical, and the rover is a good addition.
Judging time has come. I am a very harsh grader, so don't feel bad about any bad scores. You outperformed many in this challenge.
Looks: 5/10. Good shape, but I think out stylistic preferences are very different.
Preparedness/feasibility: 7/10. Plenty of cargo. A smaller ship but still effective.
Handling: 7/10. Quite maneuverable, but it seems to yaw a little.
My personal enjoyment: 8/10. The desc is great.
Judging time has come! I grade hard, so do not worry about any low scores. You certainly outperformed various other participants. Here's your score:
Looks: 6/10. A good shape, but a little unvaried.
Preparedness/feasibility: 6/10 No means of self defense, but the cargo storage mechanism is great!
Handling: 1/10. It doesn't fly, but I'll give you a point.
Personal enjoyment: 5/10. Strong entry, but lacks some crucial scoring points and features.
Results for rankings will come fairly soon. Thank you for entering!
Ok, here's your score:
Looks: 9.5/10. Beautiful. Some improvements could be made here and there, but it's awesome.
Preparedness/feasibility: 9/10. Plenty of room for cargo, and tons of guns.
Handling: 5/10. It is flyable, but the modded engines eventually speed up to the point where the ship moves too fast for the wings to handle. Fairly hard to control too.
Personal enjoyment: 8/10. Looks are superb. I wish it was a little easier to control.
This is a very high scoring entry. The rankings should come fairly soon.
@Bill0411 Ah, thanks for the sketch, I will certainly take it into account when making the island. However I won't adhere completely to it, so the final result will be a fusion of our ideas.
@TheDoodleBanger The challenge has officially closed, but I will make an exception for you, since the facility will (technically) be seperate from the city.
All edits that I make to entries will be shown to the original creator. I will also make minor edits to every entry. That is further explained in a recent announcement that I just posted.
@Bill0411 I am currently unable to set a discoverable location, but I can have the outpost be a little Easter egg that is visible enough from the mainland so players would fly to see it.
@FearlessFabEngineering On an editorial note, I realize that you wanted to submit it saturday (today is thursday). I will let you submit your entry on that date. If you can do it sooner, It would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for your understanding!
@FearlessFabEngineering April 20th has come. I will give you 24 hours to submit your entry (24 hours after this comment is posted). If you have an entry, please post it, or if it has already been posted, please link me to it. Thanks!
So the fact that it is incomplete will be reflected in the score, but have no worries, I am a harsh grader anyway, and there are a lot of entries that have lower scores. Here's your score:
Looks: 5/10. A good base shape, and the solar panels look nice. Its unfortunate you couldn't finish it.
Preparedness/feasibility: 4/10. Solar panels are often a great addition. There are tons of cargo boxes too. Still, it is incomplete.
Handling: 1/10. Well, you said that it couldn't fly, but I'll give you a point anyway.
My personal enjoyment: 7/10. Ah, this would be a fine build if it were finished.
Sorry about the point deductions due to an incomplete build. This should still do fairly well for the iOS bracket. The ranking will come fairly soon.
So I finally have time to judge. Don't worry about any low scores, as I am a very harsh grader. Almost all the entries will have some fairly low scores.
Looks: 2/10. A little simplistic. I think you could've added a lot more to vary the shape and color scheme.
Preparedness/feasibility: 4/10. The warp drive is a nice touch, but I think it could be improved.
Handling: 4/10. A little too wobbly and slow for its size.
Personal enjoyment: 4/10. The warp drive was a nice addition, but the rest of the qualities have room for improvement. I do like the control services layout though.
Many thanks for your entry! I will post the rankings fairly soon!
Scoring time is here. Don't worry about bad scores. I am a very harsh grader, and not many people have good grades. You will outperform many in this challenge.
Looks: 7/10. Powerful look that is quite good considering that it is iOS built.
Preparedness/feasibility: 8/10. This thing has a ton of weapons, and a nice cargo bay. Good job on this one.
Handling: 4/10. I understand that you were unable to test it, and I am happy to report that it does fly. The only catch is that it is extremely difficult to fly.
Personal enjoyment: 6/10. I really liked this entry. Unfortunately a gun is aimed at one of the wings, so I cannot fire the weapons.
Thanks for you entry! The rankings should come fairly soon!
Ah! I forgot to upvote this! Sorry about that. This entry will be judged soon. Sorry about the part count keeping you from making it flyable, but I will still have to grade flight characteristics, as it is a standardized part of the judging process.
So I admitted an entry that broke more rules than this build did, so I will give this build a low score due to rule violation, but I will not disqualify it.
The final score is 1.5 It may be low, but you will beat some people. Thanks for your entry. I like this one, even if it didn't follow the rules.
Cool. Is it all right If I add a radioactive decal to it? Also, since it's a reactor, I think it should be on an island somewhat separate from the city, as a meltdown in downtown would vaporize the colonists.
@TheDoodleBanger I am currently judging the colony ship challenge. I just started a few hours ago. Some people said that they would submit their entries today, so i had to delay the judging until today.
@PyrusEnderhunter I'm going to do a ton of work on the map this weekend, but so am not sure if I will finish it. And don't worry, I have a mountain already.
Thanks for entering! Scoring time is here. Don't feel bad about any bad scores, as I am a very hard grader. There are plenty entries that you have outperformed. Here's your score:
Looks: 4/10. Decent looks with some observable flaws in the shape.
Preparedness/feasibility: 5/10. A basic shuttle-like configuration , good but no weapons or specialized gear.
Handling: 2/10. Very hard to control.
Personal enjoyment: 2/10 The handling was too hard to enjoy it.
Thanks for entering! The ranking results should come in a few days.
Unfortunately this entry does not follow the rules. The central rule was that all entries had to carry the crate provided in the challenge post. Unfortunately I cannot judge it, but I will give it a chance in the challenge, with a low score. Your final score is:
1.1/10
Sorry about that misunderstanding, but thank you for entering in the challenge.
Thanks for participating! I am a hard grader, so don't feel down about your score. There are plenty of scores that are less than this. Here's your score.
Looks: 3/10: The nose looks odd, and the wings are a bit odd too. This wasn't your strongest categories, but the rest should help you.
Preparedness/feasibility: 7/10 A small colony ship, but it is very prepared. Plenty of gizmos to help the colonists reach their destination safely.
Handling: 8/10. Stable VTOL handling. Forward flight handling is a bit wobbly.
Personal enjoyment: 4/10. Dependable, but I place a lot of value on looks.
Thanks for your entry! The rankings will come fairly soon. Maybe a few days.
A decent build for the challenge. I'm a tough grader, so don't feel down about your score, it will be better than a lot of entries in the challenge. Here's your score:
Looks: 5/10. A decent look, but you could do some smoothing out on the shape.
Preparedness/feasibility: 8/10. Looks like a colony ship, and the detachers are nice. I wish it had some means of self defense though.
Handling: 3/10. It flies, but pitching down is catastrophic. It is wobbly too.
Personal enjoyment: 8/10. I liked this entry. It looks practical, which is nice.
Thanks for participating! The competition ranking should come in a few days.
@PyrusEnderhunter Maybe, depends how much time I have. Feel free to tag me on whatever build you need, and I'll make an assessment of whether I can do it or not.
Ah, a build with the same style of our collab! I love it.
@TheDoodleBanger Its fun to use, especially in bulk.
Good shape and details.
I haven't played it, but there is most likely a lack of content, hence the devs making a new one.
@FlyingThings Thanks! Read the below comment.
@oDDDity @ShatSlanger @RAF1 Wow, thanks! That was quick! I have finished the desc.

I cannot seem to find the cargo crate. Did you not include it in this entry?

Good use of the hevrail turret. I am planning on making a more deadly version of it in the near future.
@Botfinder I'm sorry, but that challenge has closed.
The color scheme and geometric structure are superb.
@Bill0411 Ah, thanks for the sketch, I will certainly take it into account when making the island. However I won't adhere completely to it, so the final result will be a fusion of our ideas.
The storage looks nice.
@TheDoodleBanger Yep. I scale everything to a realistic size.
@TheDoodleBanger The challenge has officially closed, but I will make an exception for you, since the facility will (technically) be seperate from the city.

@ElGatoVolador @Ctracerx2 lol, thanks
No need for that. I can tile these easily in the Unity editor.
Good idea. I might add a grid of four, depending on the file size.
@FearlessFabEngineering Ok, based on my current schedule, a Monday submission should be fine. Just please make it a successor to this post.
@Bill0411 I am currently unable to set a discoverable location, but I can have the outpost be a little Easter egg that is visible enough from the mainland so players would fly to see it.
Don't worry, I haven't forgotten about the challenge. This will be the next one that I judge. Thanks for your patience!

@Bill0411 My email is in my bio.
@Franticmatty Thanks! No worries on delaying your flight haha. I appreciate your feedback.
@PyrusEnderhunter Tag me and I might be able to do something.
@Rapidfire747w I might so that. Depends on how much time I have.
@PyrusEnderhunter Maybe, depends how much time I have. Feel free to tag me on whatever build you need, and I'll make an assessment of whether I can do it or not.
@Bill0411 I think it would be best for you to ask people for that favor. You may add in your request that I approve of what you are doing.
Beautiful, especially since you built it on iOS.
@Ephwurd
