@randomusername It should be mobile friendly. The only lag should come from the particle effects that come from the smoke/fog/dust clouds, and I moved those clouds very far away from the other locations.
Maybe a small terminal with a control tower. Pavement connecting the runway, hangar, and other buildings. Some trees for decoration (only near the terminal).
@Botfinder Of course I won't edit them, but my posts after the update comes out will be HUGELY better for combat - Countermeasures and a new part damage model will open up some awesome possibilities for me to design.
@JMicah4 Yes. If you can, use the 1.7 beta. I want to see how this ship holds up - even with its many weak points (that, if shot, will deal critical damage).
@AudioDud3 Streamlined removes some features of the map, including some buildings in the town, and most of the waterfalls/rivers. Also, the fog is removed from the map.
@JetFighter I haven't really revealed much about the map yet... only the beta testers know what the map looks like. I did give a very vague hint in this beta test promo. From my estimation, its probably my most simple map, but its still quite nice. I mostly used the map to hone my skills with unity.
It's often fairly easy to make an android version, but it still is yet another step in the rather annoying process of publishing a mod... hence why some modders refrain from making an android version. Still, it annoys me when people demand certain things from modders.
ok, I might try, but the size constraint makes that almost impossible to make... Perhaps a non-mirror friendly (so mount on the center of the plane) would be a good compromise?
Hehe, I come to this comments section to see me mentioned a few times. I can probably make something like that for you, if you want. I would just need a few more specifics:
- Do you want it to be mirror-friendly?
- Should the six all be shot at once?
- Should the System shoot with AGs? Or with "launchweapon"?
@Aerobako I paused the project for the time being. It's pretty much done, but I don't have the drive to publish it. Don't worry though. It will be out sometime.
@Planeengineer31625324 Yes. The missile system on this one is clunky though. I suggest that you use this missile swarm instead. It's more compact, and, well, better.
Forum post notifications, please. That, at least for me, would greatly improve my experience, as most of my followers never see my forum posts, which are intended for them to see...
I definitely remember you. I would be happy if you returned, but I do understand, and actually relate to, your reasoning for your hesitation. I stopped regular posting a while ago, and only build something when need an outlet for creativity, or if I am bored. Our last collab was awesome, by the way, and if you find the urge to play SP again, I would definitely be interested in doing so again (after I finish my current project, which will be unveiled tomorrow in a forum post).
@TheNCRranger Yes. I went to a fairly rural area, and the traffic was brutal going back... It took 12 hours to drive the first 100 miles, so the drive actually turned into about 25 hours.
Mobile has a large range of what it can handle. Some devices can run 1,000 parts smoothly, while others struggle at 250. It's not that everyone assumes that all mobile is weak. The reality is that catering to newer, faster devices would make SP unplayable for half the mobile users. Keep in mind that your high-end device is not the norm. Many people have old devices that already experience fairly frequent crashing.
@Planeengineer31625324 As in something that sucks enemies into its center? I'm not sure I can do that, but who knows... new updates always open up tons of possibilities.
So modded parts are not allowed? iOS users can download modded parts. Still, if there was modding, then it wouldn't be too challenging, so I understand that restriction.
@Awsomur @QuantausAviation So yes, I have decided to release the map. More info here.
@Stellarcrazyargonaut @AstleyIndustries @randomusername So yes, I have decided to release the map. More info here.
@randomusername The publishing process will be very quick. A few days maximum.

@Awsomur This might interest you. I would appreciate any feedback.

I do have a few exciting concepts that I will work on when the update comes out, but I want to keep them secret for now.
@Awsomur I may upload the map after 1.7 comes out.
@Awsomur That has a lot of planes in it, so I must decline. The poster in this forum post took me about half a day.
@Awsomur They're actually screenshots, on a specialized map that I made for this kind of thing.
@marcox43 I don't have the beta, but I would assume so.
@Botfinder Of course I won't edit them, but my posts after the update comes out will be HUGELY better for combat - Countermeasures and a new part damage model will open up some awesome possibilities for me to design.
@Flightsonic Well, I suppose obsolete is a strong term, but the update will probably revolutionize how I do combat.
Very well done. I like the sleek shape(s).
@AverageNoob2 Nothing happens to the plane when it enters the anomaly.
@JMicah4 As in the TLS mod? Or just a gun with high rate of fire?
@JMicah4 Yes
@JMicah4 Yes. If you can, use the 1.7 beta. I want to see how this ship holds up - even with its many weak points (that, if shot, will deal critical damage).
@Skywalket I used this gunship, this plane, and this plane.

The shape is nearly perfect! Good work.

@henryscp An AI plane is one of the map components that you can use. You need the XML file though.
I think I can get it to you within 2 days. Is that all right? I am incredibly busy this week, so I do not have much time to play SP.
ok, I might try, but the size constraint makes that almost impossible to make... Perhaps a non-mirror friendly (so mount on the center of the plane) would be a good compromise?

@Ephwurd Thanks! I should probably look up some specs of different ship classes so I can classify my ships correctly.
@Treadmill103 @grizzlitin @laSoul Thanks! I have finished the desc, and it is massive.
@Aerobako Yes.
@Aerobako I paused the project for the time being. It's pretty much done, but I don't have the drive to publish it. Don't worry though. It will be out sometime.
@Aerobako The ship itself uses jet engines. The missiles are standard inferno missiles, that are launched through detachers.
@BaconEggs Attach the bombs to pylons, then give the pylons a large detach force.
@MaximusTheMinimus Hm, what size of a plane is it? Is it a big battleship, or a smaller gunship?
Sounds fun. I might enter if I need something to occupy myself with. On another note, I love those boxes. They are adorable.
@Planeengineer31625324 Yes. The missile system on this one is clunky though. I suggest that you use this missile swarm instead. It's more compact, and, well, better.

I saw rick coming from thousands of miles away.

Awesome. Negative muzzle velocity? I haven't tried that before. good job.
@Kerbango Thanks! I have finished the desc and tags.
@septicfoot Understandable. This mod is, most likely, the laggiest map in SP.
@Planeengineer31625324 Maybe. I tend to lean towards more compact weapons though.
@Planeengineer31625324 As in something that sucks enemies into its center? I'm not sure I can do that, but who knows... new updates always open up tons of possibilities.
I might enter, but my entry will probably be on iOS. I have a 12 hour car ride in the future, so this might be the perfect entertainment for me.
So modded parts are not allowed? iOS users can download modded parts. Still, if there was modding, then it wouldn't be too challenging, so I understand that restriction.
@Botfinder Challenges take a ton of energy and time to host, so probably not in the near future.
The wing art is spectacular.
