    It’s 4500, @Galaxylechat .

  • Boeing 747 Progress- October 7, 2020 4.7 years ago

    @Galaxylechat the airplane with no cockpit is currently 3000 parts.
    @UltraLight Good idea! Business class is actually in the hump though.
    @NojusGindrenas I’ll consider, but I just did delta.

  • Airbus A321 American Airlines [Full Interior] 4.7 years ago

    @SavageMan nice

  • B757 MAX 4.7 years ago

    @lianken Lol it's no worry at all, I think it's interesting! I can test it later today and give feedback.

  • B757 MAX-7F 4.7 years ago

    Interesting.

  • Boeing 747 Progress- October 7, 2020 4.7 years ago

    @avgeek101 People really don't do that. Look at my 757-200, there's only one successor and it's got 104 upvotes. And that one thing is just a reduced part count version.

  • Boeing 747 Progress- October 7, 2020 4.7 years ago

    @avgeek101 What's wrong with someone making successors?
    @Gundamboy I will be using glass fuselage for the windows of the cockpit. There will be full cockpit interior.

  • Boeing 747 Progress- October 7, 2020 4.7 years ago

    @SavageMan Sure!
    @avgeek101 Not based on any airline, I chose to make the PW4000 variant because I already had the PW2000 from my 757. It might be KLM.

  • Boeing 737 MAX 8 4.7 years ago

    @Kenneth_ This isn't even a 737 max

  • Boeing 747 Progress- October 7, 2020 4.7 years ago

    @REW Yep, custom fan blades. They spin properly too. I'm working on the flaps right now, they have some weird physics because there are three rotators/pistons on each one.
    @SavageMan The fuselage will most likely not be hollow, but there will definitely be a cockpit (kind of like on my 757)

  • Boeing 747 Progress- October 7, 2020 4.7 years ago

    @LastManStanding @tsampoy @BagelPlane Thanks for the positive feedback!

  • Boeing 747 Progress- October 7, 2020 4.8 years ago

    Release date- December 26
    Part count so far- 1000

    I'm testing out a new wing method that combines the triangulation method and the regular wing-thickness wing method. The nose is not the final shape, it is subject to change when I make the hollow cockpit (with full panel, overhead, center console, etc.)

  • Delta 757-200 4.8 years ago

    @IHateAirbusA330 Nope, I had 1 FPS while running this on the laptop that I built it on.

  • Delta 757-200 4.8 years ago

    @IHateAirbusA330 I built 90% of this on HD Graphics. I only tested and assembled the final product on a GTX 1060.

  • MiG-25 Foxbat 4.8 years ago

    9/10, just because there's a bit on engine detail lacking (on the exhaust nozzle)
    Good job

  • Announcing New Aircraft 4.8 years ago

    @ParziParziTheVal Hi! I am making the 747! I will link you on the most recent model. I'm making good progress too!

  • [Teaser] I don't build fighter jets, do I? 4.8 years ago

    @SavageMan I'll be glad to test and give detailed feedback for you, but I must say that you need to fix the engine exhausts. They're a bit too blocky.

  • Announcing New Aircraft 4.8 years ago

    @AABBA I would try to work with him, but I'd like this to be my own creation 100%. Also, he's pretty busy and must be tired after his 787.

  • Boeing787-9 4.8 years ago

    @REW Very good job on this. The smoothness of the fuselage, along with the wings and other minor details, are very good. One thing though, what about windows and doors?
    Congrats again on being the owner of the best SP 787 ever!
    -KLM

  • Announcing New Aircraft 4.8 years ago

    @Gundamboy This will be a Boeing 747-400 with PW4000 engines. I may also make a 747-200 if this gets attention. The only thing is that it will require a whole new cockpit. I may just make the RB211 version afterwards.

  • Announcing New Aircraft 4.8 years ago

    @Gundamboy I bought my news SP gaming computer for $521. I already had a processor, a used I7 2600. Although it is an older generation, it is more than enough to run SP and GTA V. The only thing that I would not suggest doing is using a really old machine, DDR3 RAM is the highest I can go. I would suggest a $750 build if you are using all new components. the I3 9100F or I5 9600K are the best processors for the money. Here's a list I made

  • Boeing 747-200 4.8 years ago

    Hey this is pretty good

  • Delta 757-200 4.8 years ago

    @REW Thank you very much! You were the first person to inspire me to build airliners (with your 737-800).

  • Announcing New Aircraft 4.8 years ago

    @FeiWu Thank you very much for the positive feedback! Your aircraft are very good as well! This airplane will be more detailed than the 757, because I just bought a new computer for SP. Going from a GTX 1060 to a 1650 Super.

  • RJ230-300 4.8 years ago

    Very good! Your landing gear is especially well done.

  • Announcing New Aircraft 4.8 years ago

    @FeiWu I don't have any more commitment that the average person (I think). I just keep at a project until it is done. Also, this one will take a long time because it will be over 5,000 parts, making it the best 747 on the website. Full cockpit interior, perfect flight dynamics, ETC.

  • Announcing New Aircraft 4.8 years ago

    @FeiWu @ThePropellerIsAFan
    Thank you! You will both be tagged on the final release in three months.

  • Boeing 787-9 4.8 years ago

    Hey this is pretty good @REW
    7879 parts would be awesome, Also GG for using cameras on springs.
    I posted This while you were gone, mind checking it out?

  • Announcing New Aircraft 4.8 years ago

    I don't know what the new rules on mass tagging are, Upvote or T for tag because I have no idea. Follow me? IDK.
    P.S. I'll be using the fancy wing triangulation method to make better, more realistic wings.

  • Delta 757-200 4.8 years ago

    @lianken Nice! I will be making a bigger one later, 6666 parts or more.

  • What Airliner Should I Create Next? 4.8 years ago

    @47parzival41 The nose is really giving me a hard time. I've been starting but it seems like every option is impossible to make hollow body. The nose to cockpit window transition is very difficult for me. And I DO want to make a hollow body aircraft.

  • Delta 757-200 4.8 years ago

    100 Upvotes! Thank you all!

  • Delta 757-200 4.8 years ago

    @Gundamboy Thank you very much for the positive feedback! The computer that I built this on has a maximum part count of about 5,500. It's not a matter of the hardware being too slow, but the actual game itself (the application) not being able to keep up with the amount of parts. In my next creation, which should be about 7,000 parts, I am only expecting about 15 FPS on the finished version for me. I have a solid 23 FPS while running this massive creation. I'm building a new custom PC as I write this comment though, and that should give me maybe 20 fps while running 7,000 parts. The only requirement to post an aircraft with that many parts is that it needs to be able to run well enough to be tested for functionality. If I cannot get at least 10 fps, the aircraft cannot be properly tested. Especially for aircraft that have autoland features, the FPS needs to be high enough for the autoland to update regularly enough for the aircraft to properly land itself. If not, the system will either crash the airplane into the ground or overflare. BTW, I actually calculated out how many parts the interior would add, and the total part count would have been 8,500+. Not reasonable for me.
    @Trijets Maybe grab a better PC, it runs 25 FPS for me on a 1060 and I5 6400.

    Don't worry guys, expect a 6666 part+ 747 in the next four months.

    @Numbers turn up your terrain settings.

  • Boeing 737-700 4.9 years ago

    @Bife Nose paneling is alright, cockpit interior makes up for it.

  • Boeing 737-800 WestJet 4.9 years ago

    @jelybaca Hello. I have a question about triangulating wings like you did on your JAL 747-100. I'm building a 5,000+ part 747-400 and would love to know how you panel the wings!

    @MAHADI read my comment below

  • What Airliner Should I Create Next? 4.9 years ago

    @KLM_747 I think I'll start withe the windows, as that is the best place to start a hollow body airliner. I'll do the lower deck windows first, and then panel the rest of the body around them. Hopefully I'll be able to make the seams and joints look nice with the new fuselage paneling options in the 1.10 update. I might even put in real glass windows if they look good. Hopefully the fuselage smoothing option also fixes the sides of the fuselage when paneling hollow-body creations, the edges were always the hardest part to get right for me. This will be good practice though. I don't have a computer currently that I can play SP on, but I'll let you know when I start making progress.

  • New Airbus [Teaser] 4.9 years ago

    @TheSupermeAvicenna No mods, right?

  • What Airliner Should I Create Next? 4.9 years ago

    @47parzival41 Alright, I'll either look for a special livery or find one that is used by a lot of airlines. I will try my absolute best to make a good 747 nose, but if I cannot, I will most likely make an airbus to change things up.

  • What Airliner Should I Create Next? 4.9 years ago

    @47parzival41 lol just know that I'll be able to make higher part builds. I'll be making the -400 version, from which I'll be able to stretch and lengthen if needed to form the other models. The only thing is, they all have different cockpits. Like every single model. Do you have any other suggestions for liveries? I'd like to do the PW2000 version FYI.

  • Delta 757-200 4.9 years ago

    @lianken I can make a 757 with no cockpit later, in November. I am currently working on a 7000 part 747 due to be posted in December.

  • What Airliner Should I Create Next? 4.9 years ago

    @Panthers4741 I usually aim to make each wing about 400 parts, on the 757 each wing is 450, and each engine on the 747 (which is conveniently the same engine as the 757) is about 100 parts. BTW, I'm building a new test bench PC with an overclocked RX 590 and I7 2600 that I scavenged, that technically is better than my current PC, and I MAY be able to make the Queen of The sky 7474 parts. DDR3 is so cheap, it's worth it to get 16GB or even 24GB DDR3.

  • What Airliner Should I Create Next? 4.9 years ago

    @Panthers4741 No worry about spam lol
    I start every plane I make with the main fuselage section, the long straight part where the cabin is. I make it as long as the airplane should be with XML and then scale the blueprint so it fits perfectly. Then I make that piece the main fuselage and attach pieces to it to form the basic shape of the nose and tail. I do the tail first, then the nose, then the belly hump (wingroot thing) I make sure I look at the actual plane in real life to make sure I get the details right. For my 757, I went to the local airport and checked it out. For the 747, I have a 1:200 model in my room that I can refer to. Costed about 35$ and is quite accurate. Make sure you use blueprints for every part.
    Nose, seats, landing gear (I watched gear swings of the 757 to make sure it worked properly). The cockpit was one of the hardest parts. Very time consuming. dozens of hours. 747 cockpit and nose shape will be the hardest part. I'll keep you updated once I start because you seem interested.

  • What Airliner Should I Create Next? 4.9 years ago

    @Panthers4741 I feel that it would be hard to make the upper windows properly, since they are slanted weirdly. I might have to use a new paneling technique. The entire fuselage and upper deck will need to be paneled for the inside to look proper. ++ parts. Any request for liveries?

  • Delta 757-200 4.9 years ago

    @piglin haha cockpit alone is 3k

  • What Airliner Should I Create Next? 4.9 years ago

    @Panthers4741 The most part-intensive region of any aircraft with interior is the seats. 344 seats on the 747, and with the current seats I have, (no part count savings) the seats alone would be 9200 parts. I might need to make each seat about 10 parts if I'll even have a chance of making them all fit. that way they're only 3440 parts. then I could make the rest of the airplane 4034 parts, bringing the total to 7474. Cockpit on the 757 is about 3,000 parts, and I bet I could reuse a lot of the dials, switches, ETC to make the 747 much easier to build.

  • What Airliner Should I Create Next? 4.9 years ago

    @Panthers4741 747 sounds nice, I haven't seen a 5000 part version here. I might make a really detailed one with full interior. The interior is the easy part, except for the spiral staircase. The cockpit is the harder part. I'll think about the 747 nose and experiment a little bit. If I can get a good nose shape I'll try.

  • Boeing 747-8i Air China 4.9 years ago

    @TiFosiF Very good job with the hump and nose, good detail for such low part count!
