I think you should remake this plane from scratch, and help yourself with blueprints.
This current build looks way too blocky and you should try, and you can try to make it fully with fuselage blocks and a decent panelling. Also, you could and should make custom engines and landing gears, the default ones are ugly af and you'll see it's not complicated : basically a rotator, some fuselage blocks for the leg, a shock, and one or more resizable wheels per LG leg.
Take your time, in this game look and functionality go as a pair and if you want people to like your builds you must, here for example, at least make a round fuselage instead of a square one.
Also try to make a custom cockpit, the default ones are again ugly, and I know you can do that.

@KnightOfRen well I didn't really build the plane, @ollielebananiaCFSP did. I only modified it and put tanks and my refueling probe and refueling pod/drogue on it.
F4U Corsair, used from 1942 to the 50s by the US, did not participate to Midway but the following battles. Thanks.
P.S. the battle of Midway took place in June, 1942. Not 1943.
