Thank you very much @BusterShortWolf I didn’t realise the mossie was such a fav with people - after all you don’t see them too often.

  • de Havilland Mosquito PR.XVI 5.8 years ago

You really want a tu-95 don’t you buddy?! There’s plenty on the site, why do you want one built by me? I mean I’m touched but I don’t understand - there’s plenty of low part ones available. @THEAIRCRAFTCRAFTER

mosquito hits mountain. Mosquito bounces off then explodes! :) @ThePilotDude

  • Fairey Spearfish 5.8 years ago

    Of course! @Nickr

  • Fairey Barracuda 5.8 years ago

Good idea, quite frankly I had a notion to morph this into a Barracuda myself but I wasn’t feeling the personal interest so I didn’t bother. By all means use this as a base for another Barracuda - it needs a rather large chin intake and struts on the tailplane too. Good luck!

  • de Havilland Mosquito PR.XVI 5.8 years ago

Thanks kindly! @ThePilotDude and I agree with you there, ever since watching 633Sqn as a kid!

  • de Havilland Mosquito PR.XVI 5.8 years ago

Cheers mate! I remember reading somewhere due to the wooden construction it gave a poor return on radar - further adding to the allusiveness that made it a great raider. @Trainzo

  • de Havilland Mosquito PR.XVI 5.8 years ago

“Glide ratio of a boot” :) yeah I was hesitant about adding more wings as in the past I just ended up with a plane that had no stall point - so I decided to err on the side of caution rather mistakenly. Trim tabs where a little venture from off having two hinges for the elevators and tbh probably more hassle than they were worth. Feedback much appreciated - plenty of food for thought! @BogdanX

  • Short-Polikarpov Seagull 2.4 5.8 years ago

Most enjoyable, I can’t fathom out how you make a sea plane fly so well!

  • BAE Cyclone F-1 4.1 5.8 years ago

Eye-wateringly expensive and subject to years of political induced delays by any chance :) Beautiful build, that cockpit is razor sharp! Love the tail fins and how they control pitch and roll.

  • Small Cargo 5.8 years ago

Reminds me of my first builds! Don’t be afraid to adjust the fuselage sections to make a more aerodynamic shape. You can also make them “shape around” wings sections and make quite realistic looking planes. Welcome to SP!!

  • Carat SonicJet (CA-180) 5.8 years ago

    That’s one LARGE bird!

  • D-10 Jäger 5.8 years ago

I’m a big fan of your work so humour me.... those screenshots make it look quite graceful and elegant, that plan view makes an absolute hash of those images. Nice build though!

  • Hawker Tempest V 5.8 years ago

P.s if upvotes are mandatory build a Russian Su-35/Mig29 - they seem to get them all! :)

  • Hawker Tempest V 5.8 years ago

Personally I wouldn’t have re-uploaded but I won’t judge - the original deserved more attention most definitely. Sometimes that’s the damn nuisance/mystery of this game. You build something over a period of months and it gets mediocre attention at best - cobble something together (teaser/video/comment) in a few hours and it storms ahead.

  • Vanguard Class Submarine 5.8 years ago

Brilliant, top job with this! 1:1 scale but of course!

  • Ghost Dynamics GF-1001a Fighting Viper 5.8 years ago

  • Yakovlev Yak-3P 5.8 years ago

Lovely build, I’ve noticed it’s quite hard keeping it in a straight line on takeoff/landing and noticed for the wheels the traction setting you have maxed out the ‘sideways traction’ and have no foreword traction at all?! When I found I had this problem I always did the opposite for these settings and was just curious as to why you chose this setup? Great build once again!

  • star destroyer 5.8 years ago

Simple star destroyer, needs to be spawned inflight to fly around. Would love to see a larger VTOL version if you were up to it?
