  • Dear SimplePlanes community 5.8 years ago

    @IStoleYourMeme That's the SP bias speaking. Plenty of people play it, though must of them are on the Discord server. My point is to not come to the forums just to hate on the game, unless it is actual, well thought out criticism. Not blind hate because the developers are focusing on a game that isn't SimplePlanes.

    @12705129

    How come ive never got it

    It may be possible that your device is not compatible with 1.8. Regarding iOS modding, it simply is not possible. Mods contain Executable Code, which Apple's ToS prohibits, and if Jundroo were to somehow work around it SimplePlanes would most likely be removed from the App Store.

  • What will be the 1.9 Update? 6.1 years ago

    Considering the fact that 1.8 only came out a month ago, we'll probably have to wait a few months before 1.9 comes out. Their current focus is getting SimpleRockets 2 out of early access.

    this is a neat little vehicle. a little unstable in flight, but charming. for helicopters I recommend setting the throttle governor to the vtol slider and the collective to throttle. makes it a bit easier to fly

    @manUnnamed there wasn't one, at least not officially. Pedro was the closest one there really was to anything like that, but his job was still as a developer so he had limited time and any time spent dealing with moderation and stuff was time taken away from game development. I'm now a dedicated person for this.

  • Move to Juno: Is it worth it? 1.5 years ago

    Juno has a lot to like that makes it almost impossible for me to go back to SimplePlanes. When you get used to the designer, I (and everyone else I've seen who's committed to switching) think it is, in most ways, more powerful and more easy to use than the one in SimplePlanes. There isn't any fuselage slicing, but there's a hidden property called clamping that is almost if not equally as powerful, and you can find a mod that makes it accessible through a UI here. And yes, you can fly around in space with an X-Wing — in sandbox mode, there are cheats in the flight info panel on the right side of the screen when you're in flight, including infinite fuel. Just be aware, orbital mechanics will apply.

    Your post has been removed. Please read these rules about posting planes.
    Please try to make major changes to a plane before posting it. Simply painting an object a different color, or adding a few guns is not enough to consider it your own. In the future please credit the original maker, and try to post your own work.

  • We need a big update! 4.0 years ago

    A big update to SP is most likely never happening again. As I've stated before, it's gotten to the point where adding major new features to the game is simply too difficult. Sorry, but you'll either just have to deal with the game as it is now (the community from this point on can continue development via mods, FYI), move to SR2 (which personally I think is a way better game for a variety of reasons once you adjust to its designer), or wait for Jundroo to make another game, assuming that happens.

  • New Rule & Revamped Strike System 4.2 years ago

    @JakeS It only counts for harassment of moderators. If it was for regular users, then someone could just get an out of context message of someone saying "f**k you" to try and get someone they don't like a strike. Originally the rule did apply to everyone, shortly after it was announced in Andrew's post, but some people took note of the fact it applied to everyone and proceeded to weaponise it. There are just too many possible factors we aren't seeing to apply it to normal users.

  • How do I make a 3 dimensional thrust vectoring engine 4.2 years ago

    Don't know if this applies to SP but in SR2 you would do it with rotators and then setting their inputs accordingly. Alternatively you could use pistons if you want to be more fancy with it, but a pitch/yaw thrust vectoring system with pistons would require 8 pistons rather than 2 rotators like a rotator-based system would.
