I must admit, I have actually never seen this method of stabilizing tanks! I might actually use this for a tank I'm presently making that I'm naming the M78 Skofnung. I'll tag you on it if this idea works out!
@Lake Yeah, that'd be fine. If the turret doesn't have an interior, then make sure you grab the shock that holds the gun together, delete the breech, and just use the barrel and shock itself.

@Ocllhn I can't build an island. Staging bots only works so well because I have to manually measure out how far away I am from the firing line, save that location, and repeat for farther distances.
If the CoM (red) isn't in front of and slight below the CoL (blue) then it won't fly. It also needs to have big enough wing surface area (which it looks like it does)
@Pigeony Smth must've gone wrong, I downloaded the post and added my gun, then uploaded it, found out I forgot a rule, removed it, and reuploaded it as the same thing but mkodified to fit within the rules.

+1This howitzer was designed to be towed. That's why it has the towing eye, retractable legs and wheels, and all that.
I have an airsoft version of this. One of the best spring rifles you'll find on the market for it's price
