@Klafzfox You can't tap a point on the sky to make it aim, it just won't work. You can however get it to track flying aircraft. I find that it helps to use slow motion mode plus the Freecam mod to zoom in on your target and place the marker.
@USA1783 start with the horizontal rotator. Attach two blocks to the horizontal rotator. Attach the vertical rotator to the block furthest from the horizontal rotator. You can then attach a gun (or anything else for that matter) to the vertical rotator shaft.
Optional Use Overload to disable collisions and Fine Tuner to reduce the size of the turret.
This remains one of my favourite SimplePlanes creations ever. It was really hard work fine tuning the catapult sled. There were so many bugs with the initial prototypes and I remember staying awake many hours for several nights before I finally had something that worked reasonably well.
Even though this system has been rendered obsolete by the introduction of the new USS Beast, I still like to use it from time to time. Its just the right size for USS Tiny.
For example, [SimplePlanes Website](https://www.simpleplanes.com) creates a link to the SimplePlanes Website.

I find that the spawn point for the USS Beast is too high up causing the aircraft to fall quite a considerable distance when spawning. Also, the destroyers seem to move slightly slower than the aircraft carrier. I'm using the Android version.
@Novemberpapa243 When you have the ejection seat fitted I find that the external camera view is different when flying. If you want the normal orbit/chase view, install an orbit camera at the centre of mass and use that.
@Novemberpapa243 You don't save the seat as a subassembly because it has a cockpit block built in. Instead, get the design you want to use the seat with, remove the cockpit block from it and save the aircraft as a subassembly. You then load the ejection seat and attach the aircraft subassembly to the bottom of the seat. Use fine tune to move the whole aircraft subassembly up until you cant see the seat. Finally, make sure any pieces which will interfere with the seat during an ejection have collisions turned off (disableCollisions : True) using the Overload mod.
@PapaFoxtrotA51 You can use the catapult for your own aircraft but it will likely need fine tuning for the new aircraft. There's a better version of this catapult here:
@Minecraftpoweer it's meant to be like that. The thrust vectoring gives it controlability post stall. It's also fairly easy to manage at high angles of attack.
@ThePilotDude I didn't design this as an entry for any challenge. Indeed, I only discovered mikoyanster's challenge a couple of days ago, just before I uploaded the aircraft.
Also, it's not a light fighter, it's a light attack aircraft. There's a difference. It hasn't been designed for air to air engagements, although it does possess two Guardian AAMs for defensive purposes. I could create a fighter variant though. I would just need to change the weapons.

@MOPCKOEDNISHE On Android the vertical rotator isn't working. I've tried to fix it with AG7 multiple times but it still doesn't work.
EDIT: Just tried to use the vertical rotator by itself and it works, but not when attached to the horizontal rotator.
EDIT 2: After changing the design it works just fine. There needs to be two blocks between the horizontal and vertical rotator.

+1@Linebob ?
Done! Uploaded unlisted and tagged you in the comments.
I'll make these for you.
So is this a bit like SimplePlanes crossed with Minecraft?
+9Anyone else having issues with the Freecam Mod?
Looks like there is a hidden arresting hook part in the game files. Looking forward to having a fully functional aircraft carrier in SP.

I'm modifying this into a Hawk T.2.

@PapaFoxtrotA51
Of course you can use it! That's why I posted it here.
Thanks! @MrSilverWolf
@BACconcordepilot I've seen this done before in SP, so I know it can work.
I'll upload it unlisted and tag you. @Chancey21
+1@ThePrototype the rotor can be angled back by 20° using the pitch control, so I don't think that's the issue.
@Minecraftpoweer it's meant to be like that. The thrust vectoring gives it controlability post stall. It's also fairly easy to manage at high angles of attack.
I've disabled collisions for the entire thrust vectoring assembly, but it still won't work. Also, yaw seems to be fine when the plane isn't moving.
@Carbonfox1 I use Android.

@Jdgetz2004 I'll make an actual replica of the L-39 before I do that. This isn't a replica. Thanks for the livery suggestion!
