    @asteroidbook345 No it's not lmao, forgetting the part where it's culturally nothing like the rest of Europe, the majority of the country is classified as being in 'West Asia', and a countries location is classified by where the vast majority of it's land is. I.e. we wouldn't call USA 'a country in the middle of the Pacific' just because Hawaiis there.

    A small minority of the country, East Thrace, is in South-East Europe. But historically that was Greek anyway. Turkey is not a European country.

  • Map of Europe one month ago

    @realSavageMan lmao yes indeed xD

  • Map of Europe one month ago

    @asteroidbook345 Turkey isn't part of Europe, The Balkans are stable compared to most other places on Earth.

    By Earth standards, Europe is a very peaceful continent. The vast majority of it is in one defensive alliance, and generally it features a stability and crime rate lower than most of the rest of the world. (Although with the rate of illegal immigrants flooding in the crime rates are climbing)

    This just in, it has been confirmed that many players are leaving the site and the game to go join a separate community: Flyout. Apparently this game boasts "better graphics" "more optimization" and "more realism." WHAT A LOAD OF MALARKEY!!! Simpleplanes is, and will always be, superior to Flyout. Please, Please remain faithful to this game."

    I hate to break it to you, but I'm fairly closely involved with FlyOut, and I've also been part of the SP community for almost 8 years. Yes, FlyOut is better, it's not even close. Graphics, modelling, armament, physics simulations, ease of building, features are all superior. I mean it's not surprising, SP was fairly archaic even when it launched in 2014, let alone now. It got such a community because there was nothing really like it. Now there is, with a 9 year advantage, and it's better. Such is progress, don't try and deny it though because you feel a tribal defensiveness. The only use SP will have in a couple weeks when FlyOut releases is for mobile users.

  • Guys this is the most beautiful thing I have found 6 months ago

    Look at your profile picture and bio for example. Most people would have their interests, hobbies, as their pfp, and describe some things about themselves in their bio. That's what having a personality is. You've built your personality around the fact that you're transgender, and that simply isn't a personality trait. Being 'a gender' is not interesting.

  • Guys this is the most beautiful thing I have found 6 months ago

    No idea why I didn't get a notification for this. You can believe what you like, but yes - Transgenderism is intimately tied with mental illness, you almost never get well-adjusted completely mentally fit individuals becoming transgender. Transgender people have mental illnesses at a rate 5x higher than the average population.

    I'm not a 'bigot', I don't even really know or care what you're trying to get at with that, try not resorting to buzzwords when you come up against something you don't like. "being trans is simply making the body match the gender one is born with", Utterly false, this is simply a pseudo-scientific statement. Binary biology has been documented for a pretty long time and it's well understood. Transgenderism is attempting to change the perceived gender, although you can't change the chromosomes.

    I don't know what you're talking about 'toilets', I don't really care for the entire subject. It's dead and not very interesting. @asteroidbook345

  • The SP map is BAD and NEEDS an UPDATE!!! 10 months ago

    I've said before that SimplePlanes has good potential that has been utterly squandered. There are literally a million and one things that could be done to this game and the dev team does maybe one of those things every 2-3 years. They're lucky there is such a creative and loyal fanbase to this game, because to be completely honest I don't really think they deserver it based on the amount of work they put in.

    Not to mention instead of overhauling it they decided to focus on SR2, a game that has been far less popular because it exists in a space with the far more dominant KSP - The entire reason SP was so good was because there's nothing like it! But no, instead of turning it into the incredible game it could be the devs essentially make a failed competitor to SP2 when they already have a game in a niche of its own...

    I know this comes across as super harsh, but after having played this game for 8 years these are my honest thoughts.

    Define "ultimate sandbox game"... to me the ultimate sandbox game would mean you can realise theoretical ideas in a way that isn't extremely janky or flat out impossible. When it comes to an aircraft building game, I would like to choose gun type, ammunition storage, painted on decals and camo schemes and engine types.

    SP is not, in any sense, the ultimate sandbox games. It is extremely limiting and is completely missing some features. I look forward to FlyOut, I'll watch development with interest. @ollielebananiaCFSP

    I knew immediately when I read it that it was written weirdly. It's written like a supportive paid article, which is not how Wikipedia pages are written... Also trying to cram in as much info as 'reworkable' is so forced here, then the lazy attempt to make it seem natural by including others in the writing as well... Come on man, this is so badly done - why would you even try

  • Rostock Sanka-Mk.B (from"The Sky Crawlers") 1.6 years ago

    Ah well I would say maybe don't aim to make aircraft fly perfectly straight, its nicer to have the aircraft behave as it it really would in real life, which includes some torque and pulling! @AntonWings

  • Rostock Sanka-Mk.B (from"The Sky Crawlers") 1.7 years ago

    1. Is true, but 2. Is obsolete now - now that we can fly with a joystick in third person it doesn't make any sense to have a plane that flies perfectly straight... that's simply not how aircraft work or fly, its much nicer to have them fly like they really do (especially when you're flying with a joystick) and that includes some natural roll and pitch tendency. @BogdanX

    @jamesPLANESii sum(clamp01(FireGuns)) < 13.8504155125

    this is the XML I have in the forward facing guns activation group

    This just because the cannon fires a roughly 11.6 rounds per second and he capacity is 150 so this allows the cannon to fire for 13.8504155125 seconds which is exactly 150 rounds

  • Need experienced Help with the gyro 1.7 years ago

    I'm not sure how you would make it level out automatically but to allow it to nose down with pitch you just need to assign pitch input to pitch and play around with stability and speed until it has the 'power' you want it to have. Maybe some small wings would cause a natural stability/level out once a certain speed is reached

    Cool, but the guns somewhat sour the experience of dogfighting with other planes as for some reasons the guns on this are way to overpowered. Each one does 350 damage per bullet (default part has 100 health) and has 20 rounds per second fire rate. It should have 7.5-8 rounds per second fire rate (MG 08 gun). Making the guns appropriately specced would improve it greatly, otherwise fantastic work!

  • Arado Ar196 1.9 years ago

    ... Not at all? The SBD Dauntless is not even remotely like the 196. The Dauntless ia dive bomber with capability for ground attack, the Arado Ar 196 is a reconnaissance floatplane. It's not a ripoff or a version, in any meaningful way - there's no comparison to be drawn between the two aircraft. @LegendaryPilot

  • Arado Ar196 2.0 years ago

    Cool, except one mistake. The 196 did not have MG 151 cannon, but MG FF (and in the A-5 MG FF/M) cannon. Also, you gave the cannon 600 rounds (300rpg) but in reality the A-3 had 120 rounds total and the A-5 180.
