[About Rostock Sanka Mk.B]

Click here for v2, which adds the aileron trim function.
The Sanka Mk. B is a fighter aircraft that appears in the "Sky Crawlers" series of novels by Japanese novelist Hiroshi Mori and in the animated film based on the novels. It is flown by the main characters in the novels and movies.
The Sanka is characterized by its pusher-type aircraft. In the novels, it is depicted as a small, lightweight, and agile fighter. When it was made into an animated film, it was depicted as a fighter with ente wings and contra-rotating propellers. It was also shown to be a fighter of the war agency company Rostock.

[About the work]
This is the first fictional world aircraft I have built. It is my favorite fictional fighter.
I had created the same aircraft a year ago when I started playing SP.It looked like this.

…Well, I think I have improved my skills a little compared to those days.
The paint job is a reproduction of Yuichi Kannami's aircraft in the movie.
I have not verified this because I do not have Simple Planes VR. Sorry.

Uploaded v2 with additional aileron trim function. There is a link to v2 at the top of the description column.
I wanted to update the XML file, but for some reason it failed, so I am uploading it this way.

Sorry for the very late reply.
Thank you for your wonderful offer.
However, I have no plans at this time to build any other planes that will appear in "Sky Crawlers". Even if I receive the PDF data, it may be wasted.
If I want to make a plane that appears in "Sky Crawlers" in the future, please let me contact you.

Also @BogdanX I see you mentioned me but have since deleted the comment, not sure why but it's really rather irritating.

Ah well I would say maybe don't aim to make aircraft fly perfectly straight, its nicer to have the aircraft behave as it it really would in real life, which includes some torque and pulling! @AntonWings

    Sorry for the late response.
Thank you very much for your very thorough explanation.
I am looking forward to the tutorial video you mentioned before, but first I will install an appropriate text editor on my mobile (I play on an Android device) and try the method you described.
I would appreciate any further advice you can give me.

    I will tell you frankly.
I have changed my mind. I will not make A6M yet. Because the A6M is a special aircraft for me, and I want to make it after I improve my skills a little more. Sorry for being moody. But the work I make without enthusiasm will not be a good one. That's my theory.

Thank you for your response. I see, you are using a text editor to replace the XML description. That was helpful.
Thanks also for the tutorial video creation. It is very helpful and I am sure there are many other SP users who can be helped by that video besides me.
I already follow your account. I look forward to the completion and publication of the tutorial video.

Thank you very much for your advice. It is very helpful.
I have one very elementary question. You said "mass edit the xml file with all parts having calculateDrag set to false." Is it possible to mass edit the XML of the parts?
I always use OverLoad Mod to edit the XML of the parts one by one.
Or, if I want to set Mass Scale to all 0, for example, the fuselage parts of a wing section, I set MassScale of the fuselage part of the wing foundation to 0, and then build the wing from that part by "adding sections", so that all parts have MassScale of 0.
If you know of any other easier way to do batch editing, I would appreciate it if you could let me know.

This is my view as the creator of this plane.
I intended to make this plane symmetrical. The fact that it autorolled means that there is a problem with my work and that the left and right sides are uneven. I should have either corrected this non-uniformity or given the pilot the ability to adjust the roll axis.
Well, I am now working on a version that allows roll axis adjustment with VTOL input. I will update the XML file when completed.
However, it will not have trim tab visualization. This is because I could not find out where the Sanka trim tabs are and what shape they are.

    1. Is true, but 2. Is obsolete now - now that we can fly with a joystick in third person it doesn't make any sense to have a plane that flies perfectly straight... that's simply not how aircraft work or fly, its much nicer to have them fly like they really do (especially when you're flying with a joystick) and that includes some natural roll and pitch tendency. @BogdanX

    @FalcoOne
If you can read the "Sky Crawlers" series in your native language, please do so.
It may be a little poetic and difficult to understand in some parts, but it is a good work. My personal recommendation is "None But Air". It is the oldest story in the series. There are episodes that take place shortly after Sanka was deployed in actual warfare. I think the content is also easy to understand.
The animated movie is also a good work, although the taste is a little different from the novel. If you like airplanes (and of course you do), the beautiful aerial battle scenes are worth seeing.

    Thanks for the advice.
You make an astute point...I was aware of the roll glitches and lack of trim reproduction that you pointed out. You seem to have spotted that I am lazy in details....
I will try to reproduce details and deal with minor glitches as best I can in the future when I do my work.
