I think these are the most important parts about SP2 (from the teaser video and pictures):
- The user interface is (very) similar to SP1. This will make it feel familiar to players.
- Paint textures. No more extra parts for stripes!
- Underwater camera. Will be extremely useful.
- Multiplayer! As an Apple user, this makes me VERY happy!
- Backwards Compatibility. My main concern of having to rebuild everything is solved.
- But most importantly, this is an incredible sequel to an already brilliant game, a sequel that will (or at least should) make FlyOut redundant, and frighten the developers, Stonext Games. That is how good I bet SP2 will be.
Thank you @Jundroo for not giving up on this fantastic community.
@jamesPLANESii @AndrewGarrison I don't thing a physics update would be a good idea, because most planes would probably become unflyable. I would recommend a terrain update - which is what I've been hoping a next update will be.
@AndrewGarrison Actually, the priorities for a possible future update should be to make the orbit view auto switch be able to be turned on or off, or even remove it, and make cameras work below sea level (they auto switch when they touch the water's surface).
This game was never meant to be for potato computers. It ran rather smooth on my 8GB M1 MacBook Air when I set the quality somewhere between low and medium. Most of the lag I got came from servers with multiple players (i.e. around 10 or more), or players with builds of well over 1000 parts. I looks like you had set the quality to high levels, so that might be a factor to performance issues.
However, SP2 handles explosions far better than SP1, especially high-power explosive cannons.
As for the cars, the game uses an elliptical grip model, which is more realistic than the grip model in SP1, and is why some SP1 cars didn't handle as good in SP2. On o=the other hand, cars that have been optimised for hpgbproductions' grip mod would likely perform well in SP2.
Don't forget that this game isn't complete, so it will feel that way in a few places, and Jundroo doesn't want to reveal everything before the release in March.
One of my favourite parts about SP trailers is the guy that narrates them.
+12Now everyone will be asking about the new SP update. XD
+12Someone explain to me why this is re-released

Welcome aboard Air Rushmore
+8Ok, I like pineapple on pizza, But I would want some pizza with that pineapple.
+7I don't think SP should have a sequel; it's too good for one.
+7@WNP78 can you make this a pre-downloaded mod in the next update? (like Fine Tuner and Overload)
+7WOW! How does this work? Could you explain? Also, how do make it go faster? Finding that out would really help! Could you also make a Tesla Roadster?

+6@WNP78 This has GOT to be put into the game's code (like the metric measurement mod and the advanced targeting mod)
+6Maximum function & detail with minimum parts, well done!
+6I don't care if this costs $50 when it comes out (It probably won't). I'm STILL buying this!
+5For some reason I really want to press the OK button, but I don't know why

35 minutes and 20 seconds, were you bored?
+5Your aircraft list is very organised!
+5Of the things that Jundroo haven't announced yet, I hope they add train tracks.
+4@AndrewGarrison I reckon you should include all the songs, but have an option to play the original soundtrack, or the new one, or both.
+4JUST ANOTHER DAY IN THE LIFE OF A SIMPLEPLANES PLAYER.
+4178 upvotes for something that could've been built in 2014, but wasn't for years. Marvelous.
+4PLANE! OH MY GOD ITS A PLANE!
+4I feel like you'll be doing the BAe 146/Avro RJ next.
+4@AndrewGarrison Actually, the priorities for a possible future update should be to make the orbit view auto switch be able to be turned on or off, or even remove it, and make cameras work below sea level (they auto switch when they touch the water's surface).
+4where's the image? I can't see it.
+4@GalacticaAsia Congrats on platinum!
+4That is NOT a chandelier, THIS IS.
+4Are you telling me that you made a not-that-mobile-friendly plane on a MOBILE DEVICE!?

But don't insult The Chad.
+3@GalacticaAsia Noice. T. Can I maybe use this on my airliner?
+3How has no one found this!?
+3Original airliners are brilliant.
+3@MrCOPTY
+3Or you could just save it as:
__aiRefuelTanker__In the designer, without the .xml at the end.
Pin recommended!
@GalacticaAsia ok. Will you share the PAPI lights?
+3I feel like this plays the Minecraft theme song.
+3YIKES!
+3XD
+3SimpelPlnes
+3LET'S GET THIS TO #1 ON HIGHEST RATED AIRCRAFT!!!
+3how many giga chad versions of the default planes are there?
+3@PaperPlaneHasDream There are times when that's funny, and times when it's not. This is a time when it's not.
+3I modified my friend's plane, and it can go an indicated air speed (IAS) of Infinity km/h
+3Sussy Baka
+3ME when I saw the first picture:
+3Flying Fortress? More like Falling Fortress.
I just started watching, right as you ended the stream! XD
+2T
+2wtf
+2WOW! IT'S BETTER THAN I EVER ANTICIPATED!!
+2I had an RC helicopter that need charging for 50–60 minutes, and then could fly for only 5–6 minutes before needing a recharge.
+2Could you change its profile picture? It's a bit intimidating, and might need some more humour. How about a ban hammer?
