@kbarnett2008 thanks I appreciate the offer, I live the opposite end of the country though (if she's still at norwich), I'm looking at taking my 5yo son up in one at duxford in the summer if I can manage it. Regards.
@kbarnett2008 I've only flown in a rapide, a trilander and some Airbus (read boring tubular airliner) and the rapide was by far the more memorable (even though i was only a child at the time). Glad to hear she's being looked after.
@CoolPeach Thanks, in a round about kinda way it was your swordfish that inspired me to build this. Hopefully be a few more quality builds to come, poor lad has loads of under 150part builds submitted so far.
My last biplane was a tail dragger, first one I've made where the brakes didn't cause nose to go down, it's all about control balance, if brakes are too powerful adjust them so the arnt :)
I use lots of small panels to bend over surfaces, try to imitate a real scheme, just takes time and patience (have a look at my Vietnam tsr2 for example)
The fuselage looks good but those wings are pretty poor, the trailing edge is made up of a flat wing next to a curved fus section? Just curious why you did this rather than use custom surfaces and a nice smooth wing shape?
@Othawne Im working on a revamp of this with new wing tips, entire tail and fin, float body and numerous other improvements, now your competition says, "Entry must be a new build. Upgrades of old builds will not be accepted" would a complete rework be acceptable or should i just post it outside of your competition? (im not bothered either way). If you want to see some of the alts just let me know and ill post an unlisted version.
Stalinity posted seperately:Yay the results are in! Sorry it took so long, I had a major test, then a virus was detected on my phone. Alright, let's announce the 1-3 places ( the rest will be commented). 1st: RamboJutter. 2nd: asteroidbook345. 3rd: ghostHTX.
@Tw1st3dPs7ch0 a single rocket has next to no power though. You connect the build to the long back side of the build and the rocket on the fat bottom bit, use one of my rockets as I've disabled the autoexplode bit
@Othawne yes i agree with that statement, but if i was to design a fictional ww2 biplane would this be acceptable? Things like the Polikarpov I-153 was a 1939 design so i was thinking of a fictional successor (or something along those lines)
@Othawne so no WW2 builds? i was thinking 1940s ish but it doesnt meet your criteria?
World War 1: Aircraft designed and/or used during the First World War.
Interwar period: Aircraft designed and/or used during 1920s and 1930s.
Modern biplane: Post-WW2 designs.
@Leviatham make all the bits you use have 0 weight and 0 drag (with drag disabled as well) once you get it built you can add drag and weight as required in a controlled manually thus removing autoroll etc.
@Spitfirelad05 glad you liked it, more of these to come ;)
@ThePilotDude @CrazyCatZe @VryonixYT Thanks :) glad you like it
@Tank6376 why?
@MAHADI cool Thanks, just out of curiosity what did you think let it down on the looks?

@kbarnett2008 some people just have all the luck.... =)

@kbarnett2008 amazing, bet that was fun. Glad to see people on here that are familiar with a plane I've built :)
@MrSilverWolf did the results of this get published?
+1@AdlerSteiner did the results of this get released?
+2@Texasfam04 still hasnt been released from their kidnapping, meby we should start a wanted page?
+1@TifftheCat Glad to here its still flying, the photos i saw where from a while ago.
@MEERKAT978 I wouldn't be surprised, think it was called a dominie when in RAF service.
+2When it rolls with no input from the user

Erm, isn't this the BI-PLANE challenge... ;)
@Kungfuevan yeah your not wrong but it's out by so little I didn't see the point rebuilding it (and I was running out of time anyway)
@Tang0five thanks again old chap, glad you liked it, might do a fictional gunship version yet ;)
@Trainzo thanks :)
@CRJ900Pilot @AircroftDesigin @Mickk Thanks for the comments, glad you liked it.

+1Prototype aircraft :) see what I did There...?
@BusterShortWolf little hidden wings ;) and a lot of trial and error

@Aarons123 yes it did.
B17
@horatio no, no way to do one either due to shape being the majority of the parts.
@Dudminn ah k, had me fooled
@BoganBoganTheMan have a look at how I make trailing edges / wings, if you use a load of inlets of shortening length you can easily make a curve.
Isn't it a storch not a starch? Title has a typo ;)

@horatio try this
@horatio how many parts will your mobile run?
@MILODACAT tank killer
@Type2volkswagen things I didn't end up doing due to being close to part count limit, was going to have opening panels showing inner workings etc.

@MailboxIsMyGender rofl, even after 1yr?
@EternalDarkness Lol, which bit, the bit that says biplane challenge or the polikarpov bit?
@Jacksonian07 I can but probably won't, I've done all the ships I can be bothered with
@Leviatham use overload mod
@Stalinity 3 days ago you said you where going to finish judging, any news?
@Othawne cool, ill give it a go then, hopefully finish before the deadline =)
