@banbantheman People older than you are usually wiser than you. Wisdom is gained through experience, which is only gained through the slow march of time. This is why you should respect what they say as they can be teaching you important lessons that they learned, helping you by allowing you the chance to prevent yourself from making the same mistakes as them.
If you don't want to help spread the drama, keep your opinions and thoughts to yourself and ignore the issue. That is not an order or a must do. It is the only way we as a community can slow or stop the spread of drama.
@Tetrodotoxin
The ability to speak does not make you intelligent. While it is your right to say whatever, it is also your responsibility to use it correctly and wisely. As Uncle Ben once said, "With great power comes great responsibility." Also, no one is entitled to hear your opinion or agree with it. By stating your opinion you open yourself to criticism, mocking, and more.
@WarshipWarshipTheDude Compare it to a non refundable item. Once you buy it, you are unable to return it, even if you try to return it immediately after.
I don't know much about ships and stuff, but judging off of length it would probably be around the size of a battlecruiser or battleship.
I would be honored if you would build a ship for me. However, if it is too hard or you don't have enough time, I perfectly understand. I believe in the use of multiple small quick ships that pack a strong bite to counter foes, so perhaps a corvette or patrol boat of the modern era.
@5Ewok Unfortunately, it will never stop. However, we can choose to not get involved and ignore it. Drama luckily will burn out by itself if left alone.
@5Ewok It's really just annoying and harms the members that get involve. I am tired of people arguing about pointless debates and people making post telling people to stop fighting, which only makes it worse.
Improvement also comes from a person making changes to their normal that increases the quality of their work. Criticism helps guide them into making improvements, but is both non essential and not the only way to do so. Once again, it is a suggestion.
@SnoWFLakE0s A lack of improvement can be described as the intentional and constant refusal to improve. It is not tied to one thing, but multiple factors. I believe you are trying to reference someone not taking your criticism, that is not a sign of lack of improvement. An example of lack of improvement would be an user who has been uploading block aircraft for a few years.
@5Ewok While this may fix the problem, it removes the incentive they bring. It would just be who has more points. There would be no short term goals to reach, which over all help you reach a long term goal.
@SnoWFLakE0s concede meaning to yield or admit it's valid?
Either way, we all have faults. It is up to us to improve on them. While it is acceptable to have them, it in unacceptable to not work to improve them.
@SnoWFLakE0s Lets see. If a user took screenshots using the older model for a teaser and you tell them about this before they post the teaser, they are left with two options. 1. redo all the images and relink the photos 2. Ignore your advice and proceed with the posting of the teaser. While this may seem like a small thing, it does show that there are many unknown factors to you that may make it unfeasible to install your suggestions.
@SnoWFLakE0s A thing that may take you 2 minutes to incorporate could take much more time for someone else. There are also unseen factors that may make it a much harder and time consuming task than first seen.
@SnoWFLakE0s
Replica: an exact copy or model of something, especially one on a smaller scale.
No replica here on the site has an airframe except for two. However, for the two the shapes are off. This means according to the definition of replica, there are no true replicas here. Therefore anyone claiming to have built a replica is according to you ignoring and disrespecting the so call traditions.
From this discussion, I believe your belief that point's should reflect build quality and accuracy is what is causing the problem, as it is the same with many other users.
@SnoWFLakE0s Ignorance is also the lack of knowledge, stupidity is the refusal to learn. To be ignorant of the tradition would be to not know that it was there or how it worked. Ignoring would be to quite simply ignore it.
@SnoWFLakE0s Valid point. However, developing building skills can limit users to getting the rough shape instead of the correct shape. The only way for an user to learn how to correctly build a replica is through trial and error, which is an acceptable reason to not get the exact shape. Points should also not be considered as an user can not control their points, as seen with Spicyninja's post. Overall, for more experienced users, overall accuracy is a non-negotiable area. They have no excuse for not achieving the shape as they have the skills that will allow them to do that. However, for users who lack experience, overall accuracy should be negotiable as it is a great way to gain that much needed experience.

It is ultimately up to you to make that choice.

@5Ewok The drama is not ripping the site apart

@SodiumChloride Alright, sorry for the misunderstanding

@DerpTheSoyacfartala hmmmm
@SodiumChloride Perhaps you could tell me what is cringe as it would help me prevent the future posting of cringe

@DerpTheSoyacfartala I don't really care tbh. You can call me a she, he, her, him, attack helicopter, them, they, etc
