My suggestion is to allow @RMark1 to conduct his own internal affairs of Australia while Awwam will represent it in foreign affairs. @MemeKingIndustriesAndMegaCorporation
This scenario: calling them inferior and trying to completely eradicate their culture and impose your ways on them and thinking that they will simply accept it.
No, that's not how history works. They usually will try to kill you if you did that. And will keep trying until you die. @MemeKingIndustriesAndMegaCorporation
However, I believe Spain would be incredibly resistant to forced conversion to Islam. After all, they waged a war to drive out the Moors in the 15th century. However, if you did not pull a France and tried conversion by gradual missionary work (a slow process, mind you, that will result in a syncrenetic religious practice where elements of their previous religion will persist), then I can believe that. @MemeKingIndustriesAndMegaCorporation
@MemeKingIndustriesAndMegaCorporation No, History my friend, is the ruling b-tch who's married to Father Time that establishes rules as it pleases, and hopes that people will listen to them and learn from it. When it has to repeat itself, it will usually b-tchslap (backhand and fronthand) the person who didn't get the memo.
Here's some examples:
-Invading Russia and thinking you will be able to conquer it before winter.
-Invading Afghanistan and thinking you can occupy it.
-Invading the British Isles with no plan on how to keep your occupation fed.
-Occupying a country and thinking you'll stay there for a long time by calling them inferior and forcing the people to change their ways dramatically without killing them all.
-Thinking your ways are better than everyone else's and that they should follow what you have to say without killing them all.
-Thinking that you can negotiate with extremist movements with just words.
-Using bad tactics and thinking you can win by simply killing everything in sight.
-Not keeping up with technology and thinking yours is still relevant.
-Those who promote violence and don't think they won't get killed.
-Promoting a radical idea and not thinking that someone wants you dead.
@MemeKingIndustriesAndMegaCorporation No, I'm pretty sure it's been revised a hundred times over, with many thinkers, writers, kings, queens, and translators making some changes, although it is generally the same document as written long ago.
Trust me on this. The Bible (well, the second half. The first half is basically the Jewish Torah, which we refer to as the Old Testament.) was originally various Christian texts from across the Roman Empire, such as Italy, North Africa, and the Levant, compiled by Emperor Constantine. Although a pagan until his last days (where he was baptized and given his last rites), he was very interested in Christianity, making it the official religion of the Roman Empire as well as encouraging it's spread and integrating it with Roman culture.
Then there's the centuries of many kings and queens making their own versions to suit their needs, as well as other Christian groups, such as the Protestants, Lutherans, and Methodists, with their own interpretations of the Bible.
After all, these denominations exist in Islam; Sunni and Shia being the most prevalent. These two groups have fought each other for centuries, up to this day. There are also many other, smaller denominations as well, such as Quranism, nondenominational, Sufism, and Black Muslim movements within the United States, such as Nation of Islam (which the famed boxer Cassius Clay, aka Muhammad Ali, was a member of). However, the overwhelming majority of Muslims are Sunni.
Even within these denominations, there are many branches.
Also, about that comment about "80 years of Sharia law will mean that a largely-Christian nation will convert".
Let me find examples of populations who lived under Muslim rule for centuries and didn't all suddenly convert:
Greece - the Ottoman Empire, from 1453 to 1821 (379 years). They're all largely Greek Orthodox Christians.
Serbia - the Ottoman Empire, from 1371 to 1817 (446 years). They're all Eastern Orthodox Christians.
India - the Mughal Empire, from 1526-1540, 1555-1857 (14+302 years, with 15 year gap). Virtually everyone in India is Hindu. Like, 1 billion+ people. It's the oldest active religion in the world.
Every one of those examples lasted 300+ years. What makes you think that you could do what they couldn't do in 80 years? And the only reason why they lasted for so long was because they didn't try to impose Islam on them.
@MemeKingIndustriesAndMegaCorporation To be honest, @DankDorito has exaggerated the abilities of his aircraft, and mentioned an aircraft which has not been uploaded (I checked, but if I am wrong, direct me to it), therefore according to RP purposes, it does not exist.
The aircraft in question is the DT-01 and the DT-03.
The DT-01 is a terrible aircraft. While fast, the acceleration is sluggish and the fuel consumption excessive, mostly due to the use of obsolete powerplants. I suggest more modern engines, such as those from deusalgor's set or from my high-efficiency powerpack.
In addition, DT-01 had a terrible combination of high roll sensitivity and low pitch sensitivity, making it tricky to control. To say the least, it is terrible. I'd rather take a Pummeler to a fight with jets than that thing.
The DT-03, at the time of this writing, does not exist. I assume that he will upload it in the future.
While in-game performance of ground and watercraft is not accounted for in this RP, the in-game performance of aircraft are.
Also, I do not think using put-downs will come to good. Calling someone "irrelevant" is certainly not good. Any moderator will put some blame for the situation due to the insult. Believe me, dealing with adults is often very similar to dealing with children, just with a slightly wider vocabulary. Cue Donald Cheetoskin Trump.
Even if @PINK was a complete a--hole (which I do not think so, but that's my opinion), you do not have to respond to them. Just ignore them. They do have a "block user" feature for a reason.
I love the overconfident drivers, who go "hur dur I can out-DPM a Sherman E8!"
Which they can, and decide to pelt the front turret with AP rounds, and realize that if you can't pen the armor, your DPM is worth zero. Then they charge me and realize that they don't have a proper turret.
Basically, we aren't replacing the Pummeler in a long time.
Because as we found out, nothing will be as good as the Pummeler when it comes to the precise application of unguided ordnance upon hostile ground forces. @Makcoink
And we just made a Pummeler with tricycle landing gear. It's the A-1K Super Pummeler (to avoid confusion with the A-1J, denoting any Japanese-made Pummeler). @Makcoink
We have recently moved them to the RESERVE Air Force. The A-6 Anvil is a turboprop-powered aircraft (it has a propeller). We only began supplementing them because the Pummeler, alongside the C-1 Provider, are the only planes in our fleet that have taildragger landing gear.
All other planes have tricycle landing gear. This complicates takeoff and landing, as the runway will not be visible during such with taildraggers.
During the GWW2, the Pummeler suffered relatively high attrition rates. While combat attrition was to be expected due to their extensive use (a third of all PAF sorties were from Pummelers), the high accident rate was not.
This was due to the landing gear arrangement, which made it harder to land than tricycle-geared types such as the A-6 Anvil. This was what our pilots have told us, and preferred flying the Anvil simply because of this.
The Pummeler continues to see extensive use, flying missions against the ongoing Awwam Rebellion. Even during the Mexican Border War, where Avaruan forces, supported by Awwami forces, attempted to invade Paternia, the Pummeler proved its worth. @Makcoink
@AndrewGarrison pls integrate some nudge function in iOS and Android. It would significantly improve the quality of builds on iOS, since some people don't have the time or money to get a Bluetooth keyboard.
That jet has the flight endurance and handling of a one-winged chicken. The engines are obsolete, and have terrible acceleration and excessive fuel consumption. @DankDorito
Fighter planes need to fly fast and high and emphasize speed so they can get the upper hand over other aircraft, and will sacrifice durability and maneuverability in order to achieve this.
The A-1 Pummeler is an attack plane.
That means it flies low and slow, where maneuverability, endurance, and durability are of utmost importance. Speed is not as essential, and in fact is detrimental to close air support, since flying fast makes it harder to acquire and engage ground targets accurately.
Your average fighter jet will dispense with armor entirely, and may have self-sealing fuel tanks.
The Pummeler has a full ton of armor to protect the pilot and vitals from the immense ground fire in an attack run.
Sure, a Pummeler will probably lose in a fight with any jet fighter. But the Pummeler was never designed to kill jets. We have jet fighters for that.
The Pummeler is designed to blow up hostile ground forces. While supplanted by newer aircraft such as the turbofan-powered A-2 Boar, the turboprop-powered A-6 Anvil, and the A-7 Raider and A-8 Hawk II strike fighters, the Pummeler is very much relevant.
The Pummeler was the symbol of the Paternian military as a whole during the GWW2, between Awwam and Paternia. Paternian soldiers called it the "Guardian Angel". Awwami soldiers called it "Azrael"; the angel of death in the Koran. @Makcoink
@MemeKingIndustriesAndMegaCorporation I believe it is best that Australia be made independent, or at least be able to manage internal affairs independently of the Caliphate.
I suggest the same be done with Western Europe too. The Paternian Consulate in Calais, has received over 20 million requests for asylum from France alone. We know that the ARI has not been thoroughly crushed, despite the deaths of many individuals named Renee and Pierre Ajlani. They have since gone underground, out of sight of the prying eyes of the mutaween.
Under the Echarpe-Fours (scarf-ovens, one of the names of burqas in France), the women of the revolution smuggle weapons, information, and material in the name of the ARI. Of course, there is little police can do. Most police officers are men, and it would be improper for her to remove the burqa in their presence.
We know from Information Control that many government officials and families in many towns, whose deaths were ruled "accidental", were in fact assassinated by the ARI. Rat poison and anthrax are incredibly common agents in these cases.
Through Denmark, Poland, Spain, Sals, and Katipunian Italy, weapons, insurgents, money, and resources flow.
Outside of Awwam, they have set up bases in Sals and the GAE, equipped with Delta Pummelers and Avenger tanks.
In Australia, many of the pro-independence leaders are suspected of having links with the ARI, although they deny such.
We will conduct performance trials for these types at our test facility at Edwards Air Force Base, California and its detachment at Groom Lake, Nevada.
We would like to emphasize that these are performance trials, and procurement of any of the aircraft listed is not probable. However, we are curious about its performance nonetheless.
Sincerely,
Lt. Valerie Vickers, Procurement Office, Paternian Air Force
@PINK You realize that is a far too modern tank for this RP, right?
The Matilda II is a 25 ton tank powered by two 95-hp bus engines linked together, giving it a hp/ton ratio of 6.6. By 1943, it was obsolete, replaced by similarly-armored, similar-mass, but much faster and better armed M3 and M4 medium tanks.
Despite this, Matilda II would be the only British tank to have been in service from the beginning to the end, due to its extensive use by the Australians after 1943 in the Pacific Theater, where the 2-pdr was still useful against Japanese tanks, and the fact the Japanese didn't have many artillery pieces that could kill a Matilda.
I know that.
And the original design with the 20-round box magazine was implemented postwar as the MP 28.
The MP 18 used a 32-round drum magazine used on the Luger carbine. @MemeKingIndustriesAndMegaCorporation
I don't think it flies well. Prone to aileron reversal and is underpowered. @DankDorito
It was at that point, they realized, that their premium MM and OP nature does nothing to compensate for the Hand of Stalin. @MrSilverWolf
We've phased them out for the MP-20. The MP-20 is more reliable due to its simpler box magazine.
I know.
My suggestion is to allow @RMark1 to conduct his own internal affairs of Australia while Awwam will represent it in foreign affairs. @MemeKingIndustriesAndMegaCorporation

lol we prefer unfair fights. So we use speed.
Because fair fights are for losers.
You see, in fair fights, you (and them) have an equal chance to win. Meaning you will win half your battles.
You want to win all your battles, just so you can be sure you can win the last battle. @PINK
lol!
While we do see the Shava as too slow for our needs, it is a wonderful dogfighter. Though roll rate on this variants is a bit slow. @PINK

India Pummeler vs Bulwark II. @JakeTheDogg
But what if they find English Common Law more suitable? @MemeKingIndustriesAndMegaCorporation
@PINK You realize that is a far too modern tank for this RP, right?

@PINK Ten tons?
You know the Matilda 1 wasn't a particularly good tank. It's the red-headed step-cousin to the Queen of the Desert herself, the Matilda II.
Speaking of which, I think we will make a new tank series for export, known as Matilda.
@JakeTheDogg I wonder how this would compare to the Bulwark.
@MemeKingIndustriesAndMegaCorporation Thank you.
@exosuit Just asking.
@PINK This is a 20-ton tank.
@PINK The BT-7, mind you, was 13 tons.
It is about the same size and has half the armor.
@RMark1 I like that.
@PINK And I would think a 77mm shell would be more powerful than a 52mm shell.
@PINK 20 tons.
@PINK And how much does this tank weigh?
@exosuit We will buy Canada from you for 1 trillion dollars.
@PINK The SPW-O-III is capable of taking down the RU-1 as well.
Also, unlike the RU-1, we have lots of ammunition for the 77mm gun, both HE and AP rounds.
Also, what kind of armor and suspension does it have?
@PINK Oh. My browser is Google Chrome, so it translated it for me.
@PINK Historical justification.
@PINK At least I used technologies available at the time.
Steam turbines were invented in 1884, and were used extensively on naval vessels. As stated, the designer, Blohm and Voss, was a ship-builder.
The Model T was first sold in 1908.
The Holt Tractor was the inspiration for previous tanks.
Turrets that can accommodate much larger guns existed. It is built much like a cruiser turret.
I think the FT or the MK. V heavy tank will work out.
After all, if you want to find a British Mk. 5 heavy tank today, look no further than Russia. @PINK
Permission granted. @Supermini555
