@MemeKingIndustriesAndMegaCorporation Hence, superior diplomacy. You also did a fair amount of badmouthing of Paternia, but who won the diss battle? I did.
I also think you should reassess your definition of "ally".
Makcoink has expressed his dislike for Awwam, the GLA is your creation, and Portugal was compelled to join you because the only land border he shares is with you.
If you can have the GLA, I can have the ARI. Because I'm not sure if you've heard the people sing, singing the song of angry men. It is the music of the people who will not be slaves again. And the ARI is the music of the people.
Thanks, Victor Hugo, for letting me use your lines.
@MemeKingIndustriesAndMegaCorporation So, diplomacy.
And if Katipunia is on your side, then how come he prefers our equipment over yours? Katipunia doesn't operate a lot of foreign equipment, but the foreign stuff he does operate is Paternian-made.
@MemeKingIndustriesAndMegaCorporation You see, Sun Tzu never advocated for direct battle. He sought to outmaneuver and outsmart them so decisively that they would simply surrender.
@MemeKingIndustriesAndMegaCorporation And you had how many allies turn on you?
You see, we have plenty of nations who see us well. Sals, Katipunia, and Japan, to name a few.
When you bullied Japan and Sals, we backed them up, and you buggered off. Sure, we invaded Auruna, but given our relation with Katipunia, its successor state, it seems that our goodwill and superior diplomacy has allowed us to restore good relations with them.
In the meantime, your enemies still remain enemies. Bitter enemies. You ignore them now as weak, but wait until Awwam collapses, and soon you'd be wishing you'd treat them a little less than shiet.
We don't put down our allies for making decisions on their own, or with-hold information from them. You never told @frostbite that you were an Islamic Caliphate when you offered him to join Awwam. When I revealed to him that it was, he pretty much left. If they make a decision that I feel is wrong, I advise them to take a different approach, than admonsih them, like you did with RMark1.
Take PINK. He has my respect. Himynameiswalrus? Same. RMark1? That too. SimpleTechAndResearch? Enough to let me use Sals to recruit, train, and organize an army, without asking for anything in return. GoldenEagle? Enough to make my liberation of Canada as canon.
Now JakeTheDogg doesn't exactly like me, and I don't exactly like him, but our respect for each other is mutual.
Mudkip? Not so sure.
Now let's look at the amount of people you have pissed off so thoroughly that they hate your guts and the bacteria that live in it.
RMark1? Real pissed. PINK? Would love to see you crucified. Himynameiswalrus? Feeling as if he was misled. Viper28? Think's you're OP. They're the sort who would make the day Awwam turns to ash a national holiday.
@MemeKingIndustriesAndMegaCorporation 8 seconds. It's faster than the 18 seconds of the M5 Victoria and 12 seconds of the M6 Ardent, but slower than the 5 seconds on the M4 Scorpion and M8 General Burns light tanks.
@MemeKingIndustriesAndMegaCorporation We have laws. A lot of the specific laws and regulations vary between province. However, they are very consistent on captial crimes.
Murder of all kinds, rape, robbery, human trafficking, scamming, corruption, bribery of a government official or employee, espionage, extortion, kidnapping, and the sort are all punished severely, usually with long prison times. While all are still technically punishable by death, after the controversial case of Albert Voss in 1981, a man convicted of robbery, extortion, and corruption; was executed, and later proven innocent due to investigation misconduct and a potential conspiracy (the offending lead investigator has committed suicide by this point), the death penalty has never been used again.
However, in military courts and areas under martial law, death penalty for these crimes are still employed, and is administered by a execution by firing squad or if the commanding officer so chooses, execution by personal sidearm of the commanding officer. Where the former is conducted in both formal trials and in the field, the latter is almost exclusively done in the field. Depending on circumstances, it may be public or private.
Lt. Valerie Vickers refers to this in a story. A sergeant of the Air Force security unit had apparently raped a civilian contractor on the base. By now, she was in command of the whole unit due to the absence of the security unit's CO due to illness. The sergeant was convicted of rape by the military courts, and was scheduled to be executed by firing squad in a few days, so as to assemble a squad of soldiers to conduct it. However when Lt. Vickers sought personnel for the firing squad, all were willing to do so, but were reluctant, as they felt he was innocent.
She decided to spare them any guilt and when it came to execute him, she took it upon himself. However, just as she was about to pull the trigger on her revolver, a messenger arrived and told her that the victim had confessed that she had doubts whether it was actually him. She decided to restart the investigation, and in the new investigation, found that it was a civilian man from the adjacent village. That man was arrested and the case handed over to the civilian authorities, of which she believes the civilian was in fact guilty and was jailed for life.
@MemeKingIndustriesAndMegaCorporation Yep. We still use the M3A1 as a training vehicle, however. After all, the training range is a one-way firing range.
@MemeKingIndustriesAndMegaCorporation
Front hull and turret front and sides: Resistant to 30mm APFSDS from M9 at 100m.
Sides and rear of turret: Resistant to 20mm APFSDS from M6/M10 at 100m.
Rear: Resistant to 12.7mm APDS from M26 at 100m.
It's basically an amphibous Leopard 1. It was designed under the philosophy that given the progression of anti-armor weapons, heavy armor would be useless and simply slow down the vehicle. However, as we know, the armor meta is still very relevant, and thus the Victoria was developed to address this shortcoming.
@MemeKingIndustriesAndMegaCorporation Great news! You've lost a recent addition to Awwam! Because while we can debate military strength, we cannot debate our superior diplomacy.
I mean, I got three of your allies to turn on you!
@DakillerFighterPlanes @horatio Yes, and yes. I participate as the Paternian Republic, a flourishing federal republic that operates on the principles of democratic socialism. You can join me or choose any land in either the white areas or light green areas.
Yes, I'm aware that's part of Awwam, an Islamic caliphate. They've got half the world, so if you want any of the following territories, it's your picking:
Western Europe (where there is countries that can into socialism)
Ireland (where there are Irishmen)
The British Isles (where the non-metric system comes from)
Southern Italy (where the Mafia comes from)
Anatolia (where Turkey is)
The Levant (where Jerusalem is)

Central Asia (where Iran is)
India (where "Jennifer" from the call center actually comes from)
China (where our stuff is made)
Southeast Asia (where more of our stuff is made)
Indonesia (where President Obama once lived)
Australia (where kangaroos, koalas, and a hundred different species of deadly insects, arachnids and snakes live).
Just claim it yours and then keep insisting it's yours.
Although there is a British tank known as 17pdr SP, A30 (Avenger); which was a variant of the Cruiser Mk VIII Challenger, which differed by having a lower-profile open-topped turret.
Both vehicles were armed with the 17pdr antitank gun (which also graced conversions of Lend-Lease M4 Sherman [Sherman I-V] and M10 tank destroyer [3-inch SP Achilles I-II], which were known as Sherman I-VC and 17pdr SP Achilles I-IIC) and whose hulls were identical, based off the successful Cromwell cruiser tank.
Yes, I know lots about tanks. Yes, I play World of Tanks and War Thunder. Well, used to play War Thunder. Because although Wargaming has made questionable decisions in the past, at least they eventually admit that they're bad decisions. And Gaijin has acted in ways so abhorrent that they make EA look good.
While we are unwilling to cede you any portion of the United States, we are willing to allow you to form the Autonomous Region of the Southern United States, comprising of the areas administered by the Southern United States by the Federal Government IRL.
You can run the region as you see fit. As I assume you are from there, I would assume you know what systems work best in the area. @frostbite
@DankDorito Actually, the Bandit F-8 Cobra was produced under license (and still is) in order to fulfill a requirement for a cheaper and easier to build counterpart of the PDI F-7 Viper.
The fuselage and construction was not particularly easy to make with smaller firms. As Paternian grand strategy dictated that manufacture be distributed so that a strike at several facilities could not disrupt production significantly, this was unacceptable. It was decided to procure a new design.
This came in the form of the GALM1 Industries Cobra. While the submitted aircraft performed below expectations, Bandit Aircraft Group saw the potential, and proceeded to license produce it and improve the design. This entered service as the F-8A Cobra.
During the GWW2, the F-8 proved to be good enough, although the F-7 was still considered superior. War economics dictated that the F-8 be made standard, although F-7 production continued in order to fill losses. The F-7 was issued to elite fighter units who can take advantage of the superior design, while the F-8 would be used by most units.
This tank originally had nudged rocket pods for the gun. But soon, through looking at other designs, found out how to put a 4-shot bomb launcher on this thing.
Idk. His sales pitch was "Come join us! We're the biggest in the RP!" and forgetting to mention that any attempt to deviate from MemeKing's word, even when beneficial, will be shut down. Also, he pays no attention to demographics and believes that 70 years of Muslim rule will guarantee a majority Muslim population, despite the fact regions with over 300 years of Muslim rule (Greece, Serbia, and India in particular) are mostly non-Muslim. Or that crushing longstanding dissidence with nothing but brute force has a tendency to piss everyone off and make them angrier. Or believing that Muslims won't kill other Muslims for land, money, and nationalism (see Mughal Empire and Tamerlane). @frostbite
@MemeKingIndustriesAndMegaCorporation Remember that effective leaders must have the respect of their subordinates, which is rather uncertain in my opinion.
I believe that RMark1 lost respect for you when he attempted to implement a different kind of law.
If you have read the Art of War, you would know about the story of Sun Tzu and the Emperor's concubines.
I always felt Awwam is too powerful for its own good. The leader is currently quite isolated from his subordinates, as evidenced by defections.
Good leaders don't need to be liked. Heck, they can be hated by their subordinates. However, as long as they have the respect of their subordinates, they will be effective.
Everyone has opinions, which of course will differ between individuals. However, whether one has respect for someone is a different story.
@MemeKingIndustriesAndMegaCorporation We also feel Awwam is collapsing. Just look at the number of defectors.
That many defections of major members is a sign of terrible leadership and infighting. Your attack on the Azores failed because you relied on having Awwami Europe come down and help you, but they didn't even leave the docks.
@frostbite @Caesiciusplanes Are you sure you want to fight for a fundamentalist Islamic absolute monarchy?
@BaconAircraft However, it would only be for vehicles, and influence only the axial stability of X and Y axis of a weapon platform on a vehicle moving in a straight line.
@PINK He's not going to see that message then. Blocking a user basically severs communication between two users. You can't post on their builds, and they can't post on yours.
We only lost 781 Pummelers to all causes. A loss is considered when an airframe is listed as "damaged, requiring moderate repair" or worse, i.e. cannot be repaired in the field, as well as airframes listed as "damaged, beyond economical repair". This may not necessarily be the result of an aircraft shot down, as the Pummeler is an incredibly durable aircraft. This may simply denote that given the combat situation, it would be more economical to set the airframe aside and cannibalize it for parts.
Of interest, the total inventory of Pummelers in the Paternian Air Force before the war was 9,812. After the war, it was 9,612, with only 310 new aircraft accepted during the war. The discrepancy between recorded losses and the mathematically calculated before-and-after totals is derived from the common practice of Airframe Reconstruction in the Field, or ARF, where units may take several airframes, listed as "damaged, requiring moderate repair", "damaged, beyond economical repair", or "destroyed", and use it to construct a new Pummeler.
While impractical for modern jet fighters, which require highly precise equipment unavailable in the field which to do so, Pummelers are far simpler machines, held together by flush rivets, metallic glue, and screws. Aircraft were simply rebuilt. Sometimes airframes listed as "destroyed" or "damaged, beyond economical repair" whose parts were used in previous reconstructions were repaired with other parts and sent back into service. It is not uncommon to find Pummelers whose parts may come from several dozen aircraft.
Because of this practice, it is almost impossible to find a first- or second-generation Pummeler with all its original parts. In fact, during the Awwam Civil War, TF6 uncovered an A-1 Pummeler, and was unable to ascertain the model due to the unique construction. It had the wings of a Paternian A-1B, the gunsight from an F-2B Pummeler, the 2,000hp engine and middle fuselage of a Salish TA-1D, the four-bladed propeller of an A-1F, and the tail section of an A-1G-J. When traced to its origin (an arms dealer in the GAE), it turns out the plane was in fact constructed from several other derelict Pummelers of similar build. The remarkable thing was that the plane could fly.
As many units still employ the A-1I, takeoff and landings were the most common cause of losses, comprising about 591 airframes listed as damaged, requiring moderate repair, as a result of bad landings. Al
@PINK We choose coilguns because although lacking armor penetration compared to other designs, they have a far better HE shell due to the ability to control velocity better. This means we can use shells meant for low-velocities, and use it like a self-propelled artillery piece. In fact, the main role of the M6A5 tank when phased out as a proper tank was its use as an impromptu SPG.
As we found out, most rounds fired and carried in our tanks are HE or HEAT-APERS.
We found our M28 and M38 anti-material rifle with a decent shot and some AP RC ammunition could easily disable this tank.
How? Shoot the tracks. Once that's done, you've got no gun traverse. In Canada, many of these machines were disabled by gunfire from an M26 machine gun, M28 anti-material rifle, M38 anti-material rifle, and even AP RC from .45 caliber pistol ammunition. This is why the Bandit S-Tank remained purely experimental.
We've never favored guns in casemates, such as this machine. The only tank we've actually sent into combat with this arrangement was the Light Tank M4A1 Scorpion, in an effort to improve armor protection and firepower of the Light Tank M4 Scorpion, which saw mixed results as an airborne tank. The M4 Scorpion, armed with a 30mm autocannon and armored in basic PSL-2, was quite effective against rearguard Awwami troops, who neither had anti-tank weapons nor anticipated them fighting tanks of any description. However, once the initial surprise was lost and the Scorpion had to fight things like a Suleimani, they were sorely outclassed. This resulted in the development of the M4A1 Scorpion and M7 Sentinel light tank, in order to address said issues.
As it turned out, the M4A1 suffered similar loss rates due to the (still) light armor as well as the fact many machines were disabled by damage to the tracks, and the Sentinel simply wasn't a good design. The M4A1 Scoripion and M7 Sentinel was eventually phased out for the M4A2 Scorpion, featuring a 76mm M6 coilgun, or in some cases, a 90mm M3 railgun capable of killing main battle tanks.
Of note, when we attempted to fire the main gun ingame, the thing exploded. Literally.

Literally.
@PINK Ok.
I also think there should be proper torsion bars.
@MemeKingIndustriesAndMegaCorporation NP!
