@Transair56 the place I live can best be described as housing as far as the eye can see, and the last time I've seen a plane over head was january last year
@elliotjuk I've made innumerable PSM Capable aircraft and here's what I found works best:
|
-"Flat Bottom" Airfoils have the smoothest stall curve meaning plenty of control even past 30°AOA check here for more info
|
-Having a wing loading between 200kg/m² and 300kg/m² works great and still leaves loads of agility, but 350kg/m² and higher is kinda pushing it as from my experiences it makes the aircraft feel quite sluggish
|
Basically, higher wing loadings increase manueverability, but decrease agility and vice verse
|
-CoL should be close to the CoM but still behind it, the closer the better
|
-FBW works wonders, but is completely optional due to complexity
Around the time car wheels were first added to the game, those were not just my favorite memories of simpleplanes, but of my childhood
|
My dad worked out of town (about 30 minute drive) during this time, this meant I got to take frequent trips out to the camper at a camp site about 10 minutes from where he worked: even got picked up from middle school early to go to this campsite
|
Anyways, the day Car Wheels were added to the game was the same day I got picked up early from school to go "camping" again with my dad for a long weekend, it was a 5 day trip.
|
My mind was buzzing with ideas with those wheels during those 5 days
|
Life was good back then
@CrestelAeronautics I have some really big aircraft (the one in that screenshot has a wingspan of 41.8 km), would I be allowed to upload one of those for this challenge?
From the mist, a shape, a ship, is taking form
And the silence of the sea is about to drift into a storm
Sign of power, show of force
Raise the anchor, battleship's plotting its course
Pride of a nation, a beast made of steel
Bismarck in motion, king of the ocean
He was made to rule the waves across the seven seas
To lead the war machine
To rule the waves and lead the Kriegsmarine
The terror of the seas
The Bismarck and the Kriegsmarine
Two thousand men, and fifty thousand tons of steel
Set the course for the Atlantic with the Allies on their heel
Firepower, firefight
Battle Stations, keep the targets steady in sight
Into formation, the hunt has begun
Death and damnation, the fleet is coming
He was made to rule the waves across the seven seas
To lead the war machine
To rule the waves and lead the Kriegsmarine
The terror of the seas
The Bismarck and the Kriegsmarine
At the bottom of the ocean, the depths of the abyss
They are bound by iron and blood
The flagship of the navy, the terror of the seas
His guns have gone silent at last
Pride of a nation, a beast made of steel
Bismarck in motion, king of the ocean
He was made to rule the waves across the seven seas
To lead the war machine
To rule the waves and lead the Kriegsmarine
The terror of the seas
The Bismarck and the Kriegsmarine
To lead the war machine
To rule the waves and lead the Kriegsmarine
The terror of the seas
Bismarck and the Kriegsmarine
