a little bonus(and my favourite submarine cruiser of all time, or submarine in general) : Type-XIB
I do apologize that they don't really do anything beside looking charmingly beautiful on the surface though, they're essentially targets to shoot at.
if you're interested in the whole package, here's Graveyard of Ships which has like.. well, I think iirc 20+ ships including the IJN Kitakami, DKM Lutzow(or Deutschland), and HMS Glorious(and even the 1915 pre-carrier HMS Courageous Large Cruiser)
oh, that's hot.. sometimes I do dig atompunk.. if it's grey(hmm.. I wonder why), Prydwen also feels somewhat oddly in yet out of place in the atompunk genre, but this still fxxks
@VeryTuffSubCreator I actually forgot which sub it was, it's either the Type-IIA or the Type-IXC, I think it's the former maybe? it's quite low part and if you wanna mess with it I could give ya it
@SpetzavodHeavyIndustries well, technically, Vhyyednova(and her sister) is.. and Chervona Noblysk with her three sisters is more akin to a VTOL/Helicopter carrier rather than a carrier(*ahem* Kiev-class *ahem*)
makes me wanna revisit the sailships, but I've got my hands full with stuff, one of em is the IJN Kitakami, THE torpedo queen.. I just need to detail it..
.
I've also built a somewhat-similar sailship actually, but it's a target ship.. Hamernam iirc, but apparently according to shiroh, square-sailed ships don't work well here in SP..
. Hamernam if anyone's curious
@Graingy can attest, I can also fell a tree with how sharp my bad jokes are
.
speaking of which, do you know that the shiny reflective mirror-finish plate armours was propagated by the Victorians cause they thought that was how they should be like? :3
@Graingy orange leaves are also a good seasoning! gives a nice aromatic aromataste.. actually wait, that might be lime leaves now that I think of it, so I don't know about oranges but I think they'll be.. somewhat the same I think, don't quote me on that
take it as an advice from a peer, don't stress too much about getting rejected.
.
does it hurt? yes, it feels unfair that someone else is better than you, more motivated than you, in the end though it's just how life is, it goes on so you gotta do what you can do
.
I'll press this again, do what you can do, and this isn't just an advice for work specifically, it's for everything..
.
live and plan in the present, I think it roughly goes, especially for me. "We suffer more in imagination than in reality", Seneca.
.
I'm a pretty happy-go-lucky person, most of the time, saves me from having grey hairs and stress, though I think it also marks me as an often than not, a forgetful person which I can't deny(ouch)
architecture wise, I can't speak of, but I think there's quite a lot still standing in the US for examples, Empire State Building's I think is one of them? it has an airship docking port at the tip of I recall correctly, so it's overall very dieselpunky
ah, just a little more.. for colours(specifically for vehicles), pick either a muted neutral-dark colour(think of like, the spectrum of grays), a colour you'd see on a warbird(not too bright, for the most part.), or fancy shiny rich people colours for like the high-ends(think of like, shiny gold highlights at edges or something, or shiny aluminium/silver/stainless steel)
@KatBapa20 chill, I personally sometimes bridge-and-mix steampunk-dieselpunk also, it's honestly a matter of taste for the most part, but there are guidelines for what specifically it is.
.
and about that, Dieselpunk mainly is centered around the 20-40s for significant amount of times, so think of like, warbirds, zeppelins, oil-fired battleships and such.
.
and for architecture? you'd find it between either "Art Deco" or "Brutalist", sometimes Art Noveau(kinda the predecessor of art deco in a way) but mostly Art Deco. Art Deco's a nice style of architecture i tell you, fancy, vintage, and classy.. and Brutalist is just Brutalist, no regards for form, mainly just function(a very real and rough example? soviet-era Khrushchevka.)
I must say first and foremost, great work!
.
however, as with @ThomasRoderick said, it is more closer to Atompunk. I think it'll blend well if it uses a more muted.. bland colours per say, gray and whatnot.
.
personally also, I think it does not have enough of that.. dieselpunk flare. where's the excessive amount of point defense guns! the decorative spotlights! the equally-important but often missed rangefinders! the chimneys and funnels to bellow diesel and oil smoke! the very well very important excessive amounts of docking space(if it's me anyway) for airships! there's quite many really ;3
.
still gotta commend ya though, this bangs.
@sfsunderscoreseven n i c e :3
@Thad23 rather unexpected, hi!
+1I should really get back into shipbuilding again.. man, where's motivation when you need it

+1@SukhoiSu25 does your phone restrict the access of android folder?
in short crass-mannered words, just be apathetic to rejection and move on, and improve on what you can

@Graingy I invoke the fifth and I will not speak until my lawyer is present to speak for me
@LOSTPARROT I'm the pandafrog
@Graingy that is irrelevant
@KatBapa20 I personally am a huge fan of dieselpunk era moreso than steampunk, but brass and bronze kinda fxcks y'know? y'get what I mean? :3
+1@Graingy I will rise between the sinners, we just need one more
