@PointlessWhyshouldi well at the start you use a pretty big crane but then the crane just builds itself up (yes really) (I'm assuming you're talking about tower cranes. Ps. I made one of them, check it out)
@SnoWFLakE0s Haha thanks a lot. Personally I have no clue how your thinking even worked for the previous suggestions because I don't understand this at all..... I think these sort of things is what I'll learn next year.... your skill in this is quite amazing
@SnoWFLakE0s I don't have a diagram but I can just try to explain it even better:
Okay so what I'm trying to make is a knuckleboom/loader crane. Just look up a palfinger crane, I guess they're the most popular manufacturer of them.
.
What I want is for the section furthest back (1st piston) to extend first, because thicker is stronger and if you want to extend it a little bit I don't want every boom to extend when just one has to.
.
So they extend in stages with thickest being a priority just that the way the first input was it was more like a toggle, the piston would either be fully extended or not extended at all, but that's not what I want.
.
Basically the crane extends as much as the throttle is (lets say throttle is 90% so that will be 90% of the cranes max lenght) But the pistons at the front don't extend before the previous ones have extended by 100%.
.
The pistons are basically placed like this. 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8
So pistons 2,3,4,5,6,7,8 wont extend before piston 1 has been fully extended, but piston 1 can still be extended by half if needed. Which I don't think it is possible to make a system like this.
.
you can go here
And download the pdf if you want to see how these things look.
@SnoWFLakE0s No no, I guess I'm bad at explaining. so what I want is that lets say I have throttle at 13% (0.13) that means the first piston is fully extended and since the throttle is past 12% the 2nd piston has started to extend, but since its not 25% throttle it has only extended a bit.
.
If that makes sense?
@SnoWFLakE0s Apparently it didn't work like I thought it would since they extend 100% if the throttle is at a number it will activate on. I don't think there is a fix for that. I still really appreciate the help though and I'll still thank you in my post.
What if you have the hyperdrive engine on an activation group (also with zeroOnDeactivate = true) and then you have the same engine only it it pushes against the original engine so the thrust to both directions is equal and you have the input on that as brake or you can have it a bit more powerful. Or you can have thag in combination with air brakes.
@BogdanX if you buy them from steam they should never expire. And I'm assuming the devs can take out how many they want or something so it's probably without an expiration date too. You could just save it in a .text file somewhere on your computer. It's like a giftcard that gives you the game essentially.
@SnoWFLakE0s I need some help, I need pistons to go out in stages, so lets say there are 3 pistons. they're in order 1, 2, 3
First 1 extends, once it is fully extended 2 extends, and once that one is extended 3 extends.
The imput is throttle. and there will be 8 of them so the first one extends, the next one only extends once the first is fully extended. (which I would assume to be a throttle of 12.5)
Okay so finally the side projects for Christmas and whatnot are done, I have worked on the truck and I'm kinda' close to finishing the bed, once that is done you can go for the first test drive. I tagged you in a progress post so you can see what state it is in rn.
@MintLynx hmmm, you could probably also have an actual proximity detonation on torpedoes if you attach a modded missile to it, no reason why that shouldn't work. But yea, huge cannons are fun.
Damn, looking back at it 2019 was my best year in the game so far, I posted 11 "major" projects and most of them were received really well by the community.
@SnoWFLakE0s alright thanks. I'll try it later cuz its 6 am rn haha
@PointlessWhyshouldi nevermind you have already seen it. Haha

boxxxxxy Although I definently need to update that build in the future....
@jamesPLANESii it's from some random flamingo song that has lines about shrimp. It was in my head at the time.
Eat too much and you'll get sick
Shrimps are pretty rich

@Mattangi2 haha I guess you're right
@spefyjerbf yea top 3 get a key. Idk how they give it. But you should get one
No
@SnoWFLakE0s thank you very much, you'll get some credit in the description
@Gameboi14 I think he asked to be a mod on sr2 instead, so like a switcheroo. Idk if I'm right tho

@BogdanX yea he has said before you can do whatever you want with it, including regifting it. so You can have it for challenges
I'll take an SP key, I think I might give it to a friend. Or maybe I'll just help someone on the site out if my friend isn't interested anymore.
Yay

@Baldeagle086 I know, but I just came home. Imma test it soon
Cool, will try tomorrow. Not on my computer right now.
Use this:
https://markosun.files.wordpress.com/2014/03/avro-arrow1.jpg
It has to be to only the image
@thefalkenreich doesnt work. To post image do and if its imgur remove the s from https
I can not
I guess I could. But I'll test it tomorrow cuz I just turned off my computer...
@MTakach Idk, just try looking up for a 3d model.
@F4f879 that has been a feature for a long time haha XD (or did you ask him and tagged me accidentally? I'm here from the notification lol)
@F4f879 3d printer
Very cool and happy birthday
Very nice
@Prolex917 it's hard to explain in a comment. Someone has uploaded one, dissect it and learn how it works.
@Gameboi14 edit an upvote link to have the I'd of this post
@Gameboi14 you can basically do whatever you want aslong as the validator mod validates it.
Yes, multiple people have done it.
You can make engines quieter by decreasing the max and min inputs, although that also affects the performance of the engines.

@MintLynx Oh they still disappear if you're under 60 feet? wierd...
@shipster Thank you :)
ya know they added an xml option to make weapons waterproof, right?
@Gameboi14 or quote memes, or atleast that's what I call them. It seemed to work clicky but again, it could go less well too
@Gameboi14 probably more about luck, kinda hard to know what most on the site like. Just hope for the best haha
@Armyguy1534 touché
@DerekSP always nice when things go well :)
Somehow I missed when you posted this, very cool. It's certainly a sight to behold.
