Now I can’t get this to run cos my iPad crashes. I’ll try my PC later. Anyway, I think the landing gear positioning is not much of an issue since it is a canard configuration. Canards pitch up by increasing lift at the front. A standard aircraft pitches up by decreasing lift. It isn’t ideal to have landing gear like this, but it can definitely work fine. Again, I haven’t tested it yet @RamboJutter @BogdanX
The main body is, yes. However, I have seen many custom unimogs almost exactly like this. A custom or unique unimog is still a unimog. As far as I can tell, this has perfect unimog suspension and that’s all I really care about @Hawkeye156
You are correct. However, the only visible and functional difference in this game is the wheel size. Many unimogs look exactly like this but with bigger wheels and portal axles @Hawkeye156
but It’s far less durable and than double wishbone. In reality, this would snap your damper body the inns tang you hit a pothole or take a corner @Typhlosion130
Completely different camber throughout the travel, but yes construction is similar. Wheel camber plays a very important role in performance @Typhlosion130
solid axle suspension can be very stable in simpleplanes. You haven’t given this stabilising rods unlike every stable solid-axle vehicle. Try making 4-link suspension like this. With short, stiff travel it will be quite stable (but not as good as double wishbone)
I never said do that for every one jeez. I didn’t make a suggestion, I just pointed out that you can land on them and set manual locations so you can drive on it. They’re tiny and not much fun @tsampoy
Oh wait, this has an extra hinge on the wheel. I guess this is single link but like this it is extremely dangerous in RL (wheels tuck under when cornering). here's what I mean @Typhlosion130
Rear wheels need real suspension. It triggers me to see a poor defenceless wheel heartlessly slapped on a fragile shock like that. #EveryWheelAndSchockDeservesSupport
@Typhlosion130 Yeah... Unfortunately SP doesn't like realistic vehicles. I've never managed to beat single link suspension for durability and anti-roll. What I have done better is traction and flex. I'll post a rock bouncer/racer/crawler challenge quite soon if you want to enter it
Yep. On one of the paths, you don’t see the next island until you’ve flown a long way past the previous one but that could just be my PC. Usually you can see the next island once you reach the previous one. @tsampoy
The smaller islands lie on the path to all the other islands. It’s difficult but possible to land on them and set a location. Once you do that, it’s a good place for rockcrawling (but not nearly as good as every car map in existence)
In that case, I’ll just copy and paste some tanks into the designer. Since my PC can’t handle that, I’ll just say stick more guns on one tank. Well I guess it could have worked... @Datom
Wow! Only Unimog on this site with working, realistic suspension. The exact amount of flex that it should have. I just wish you had made a simpler version...

here's what this creation is most likely based off. The unimog is incredibly diverse and isn’t just a utility truck @Hawkeye156

Try connecting another cockpit to the drone. Guns fire when they are disconnected but nothing else does

Well, yeah they might. You know there’s no much in default SP right? @tsampoy
That’s for sure lol. Like a 20000kph plane with a snub nose @Typhlosion130

Excellent! Simpleplanes is perfect for 8bit creations now I come to think of it
You can’t auto-discover them. You have to set a manual location @tsampoy
This is it lol. You are using single link suspension @Typhlosion130
Either no suspension, or you use stock landing gear @ThePrototype
Rear wheels need real suspension. It triggers me to see a poor defenceless wheel heartlessly slapped on a fragile shock like that. #EveryWheelAndSchockDeservesSupport
@Jacobdaniel ITS FREE. If someone is asking you to pay for any access at all, they're scamming you
Life will be OK if you fly FPV quads and planes and create electric all terrain vehicles with complex suspension. No other ways to have fun in life

Try making solid axle or double wishbone suspension
I remember when you made these all the time...

You put in bolts but not suspension D:

Weird bug that can be exploited. Tank artillery barrage coming right up!

@arcues oh
Looks good! Now you just need a proper hull
Good, thanks. I’ve been doing so many searches trying to find it again (I used to be in there but I left for a while) @Tully2001
Lower the prop pitch. That will slow it down @RamboJutter
Then post it unlisted. This is spam
Have you tried disabling drag for all internal and camp parts? Could make it run a bit better
Y E S
Disable the mods and then sign in. You can re enable the mods before you upload and it will work fine @8bitgamer33
Been messing with XML? I’ve broken some simpleplanes in some W E I R D ways before
Very good! Just do better screenshots next time
No suspension D:
It’s good enough
Flag needs to be bigger. Like half the size of the entire ship big
OK, nowhere near enough interest. I’ll try it anyway
Higher ride height, more suspension travel and slightly larger wheels. Also add solar panels, instruments, etc. pretty good so far
@ThePrototype Sad but true...
Oh well, I guess it isn’t an issue anymore @EliteArsenals24
Where’s the cockpit? I want to delete it to clean up my builds but I can’t find it @EliteArsenals24
OoooOoohh. I like it
Good ol' SP drama and politics
That’s fine. I’ll ask around in discord or just do it myself @SimpleEric
