adding to the above - spotlights rely on people using their jetstream, therefore by moving to tags you kill two features at once - which by the way are super easy to use (literally all it takes is a mouse, your eyes and a few left clicks)

ok notes from testing:
there's a lot of collision issues with the map
loads of holes that you can fall through, you need wind to get you onto the ground because the spawn doesn't work.
on the southern straight maybe 300m (or so) from the turn, there's this invisible wall which is just south of the racing line.
also just coming off the starting line where the track evens out gives a big kick to the car which if collisions aren't off will kill it.
this map has loads of potential and I hope it is capitalized upon as you did with nordschleife
My great grandfather operated these in New Guinea, he came back deaf in one ear because of it.
I think this video does justice because I tried to figure out what song was playing and I figured out only to be blasted by the SP cannon noise the next second
I wish for sp2 to not send me to space when my prop touches one molecule of dirt, and non-linear thrust like it is rn

yeah sp is in trouble, i feel its due to negligence but definitely understood, the devs are busy with SR2
i seriously hope the devs have something up their sleeves, because SP is a great game and deserves to live on, flyout is like someone has just taken the base ideas of SP, looked at its issues, then i guess made their own version of it and implemented all these features that SP doesn't have.
we need sp2 if we want to stick to simpleplanes, but honestly I feel the end is near, if someone as smart as edensk has jumped ship for flyout, i seriously think SP is in trouble.

You nailed some of the things you had to do - new rim types, the option to remove rims, ZOOM! - which was really needed for soooo long, And other stuff
But we’re still missing so much stuff that the modding community already has for pc users.
There’s some simple stuff (I think at least) that could be easily reverse engineered to work for standard SP users - whether that means changing some stuff for optimisation for devices or something I’m unsure.
It’s clear people want stuff like gunsights, tracks and parachutes, but I truly feel that a quality of life update similar to this one is needed - even just adding a new tire with better physics that make landing gear more realistic (ie ability to burst tires due to rough landings which can be configured via xml) would make the game soo much better
Even just fixing props to not be a nuclear bomb when they clip something and instead actually bend would do so much for this game and the VR experience.
If this game wants to be bigger than it currently is, then it needs to improve the errors it already has - which isn’t a lot compared to other games! It’s just that they’re quite large in their small-ish amount.

i get it's not that dramatic but this is a bit confronting as we now only have 2 somewhat active mods and one highly active mod
i don't get why MP (mediocre planes) is still around as a mod when he hasn't checked in with the actual community for more than 1.3 years...

Yeah an update would be cool but realistically it’s a 9 year old game, the code base is very hard to work with. I don’t blame Jundroo for not wanting to work on SP.
