This has been a topic brought up previously and I think is in need for another quick friendly reminder. I’ve seen a increase in the trend of mass tagging in hopes of getting upvotes from those tagged on those particular posts,
(up to 120 people being tagged in some cases)
this is point farming in addition to begging for upvotes and will be treated as such.
Teasers or those requested to be tagged on those posts is in a bit of a gray area however it’s gotten a little out of hand, remember the follow and jet stream are there so you don’t miss the uploads of those you follow, therefore the tagging of 50+ plus people is a bit unnecessary
Edit: for those who insist on still tagging people, make sure they specifically request being tagged, upvoting the teaser does not count as a request to be tagged!
(That being said however, not out right saying don’t tag those requested, just be careful on those as some may not want to be tagged)
Ok I’ll try to make a little more clear comment here, we realistically can’t verify who requested being tagged, and those getting upset were people claiming they did not request it, I’m not saying to never tag those who requested it but simply saying that not everyone wants to be tagged and to be careful when tagging tons of people and it would probably be best to follow and use the jet stream to avoid people getting upset, I just worded everything a little poorly there earlier this morning

@Mousewithamachinegun122 report the post and put in the report box what’s going on, alternatively you can also report each individual comment but the first one is imo better
Quick question about reporting, as I do not know where else to ask it. (Ithought I might as well ask it here, as it is a mods forum)
If I am in a situation, where there is a forum or plane post, that appears to follow all the rules of the site, but then in the comments below, there is tons of arguments and drama happening, what do I do? I think that my options are:
A. Report the actual post, (even though the post does not have any problems, except for the comments) and then just say “the post is not the problem, the comments are just tons of drama”
B. Report all of the comments, and just say “drama and arguments” in all of the boxes (idk about this one, as it would fill up the mod queue very fast)
C. Report just the very first comment, and then say in the box “all the comments following this are also problems”
Or D. Tag you on the post in a comment, and then do nothing else.
Please tell me which one I should do, for future reference, as I have seen several of these situations recently, and if I missed the right option somehow, please tell me what to do instead.
