Because you're using the transmission at "Low physics settings". If you want keep using it on low physics, then try this step:
Open This car at plane editor
open the variable setter (its button is on bottom right)
Find the variable, named CompatibleMode
Change its command from false to true
Try to shift the transmission in-game again :D
Also, some thing you have to be aware: CompatibleMode make my transmission compatible with low physics, but not at medium or high physics. If you forgot to disable this at medium/ high physics, then it can cause the same problem again.

I mean, Actually.. this is Greenscreen Map mod, which i used for taking some pictures for cars and planes.
@L3FT2R1GHT because i haven't ever seen some real-life big planes doing formation flight together..
But wait.. 😰 i just searched about big planes doing formation flight, and they really did irl 😱😱😱 so i can't say "that's impossible" on your question
