While not the fastest or most agile plane in teh competition, I have faith it could get me at least in the top 5. I mean, this thing has like a 98% survival chance!
Please make this the Boeing F/A-XX! That would be great!
Side note: Concerning the F/A-XX program, I'm 80% sure Boeing will the contract to develop the F/A-XX because Lockheed Martin has the F-35C (LM also isn't showing interest in the F/A-XX) and Northrop Grumman already has the UCLASS/Unmanned Tanker in development. (But NG does have an F/A-XX concept as well)
@Texasfam04
They live stream the planes racing on YouTube. If you miss the livestream you can watch the recording. I dont know when they start it though.
Here is a Prop Class Indy Air Race-specific version of my White Bliss:
https://www.simpleplanes.com/a/iy4A29/White-Bliss
Averaged 1:20 against the Blue Cow
However this new version can't make the corner between gate 3 and 4 so it will always get a 15 sec penalty. So average time is 1:20 including the 15 sec penalty. Without the penalty it would be 1:05.
@Thefrenchdude22
I also wanted this to go in the Indy Air Race but it has XML modded parts so it's not legal for it. Currently making another version that complies with prop class.

well I better pull my design out of this.
(Just FYI I'm not trying to cheat, I just want my plane to look realistic)
Mods that I think aren't legal on my design:
-horizontal stabilizer is scaled to be flatter so it matches better with the fuselage part to give a realistic, smoother look (instead of the blocky surface)
-all fuselage parts used on the wings and lifting surfaces designed to give the default wing panels a smoother, more realistic look are weight reduced.
-landing gear wheels are scaled down greatly to fit in wheel pods
-engine exhaust pipers are scaled to look realistic
Basically all my mods on my entry are to give the plane a realistic look and feel, not any advantage.
@PlanesOfOld
Mine was 1:37. Looks like you beat me. Either way doesn't matter cause my plane doesn't comply with the rules since some of my parts are scaled.
@Jengstrom
Soooo I can't even use fine tuner/overload to position parts? The engine and fuel tanks on my entry are legal, but the parts (for example the engine exhaust) are xml modded/scaled/modded for positioning and size. If thats the case then bummer. Guess I'll have to wait for Mod Class Indy Air Race.¯_(ツ)_/¯
@jamesPLANESii
Honestly though I think I'd like a Cessna 170, Cessna 180/185, or a Maule better than Beaver. But everyone can agree the Beaver is the definition of bush flying. lol
Not sure how they grade/race the planes in this competition, but my plane beat the "Blue Cow" (Extra 300 AI plane) on the Indy Air Race track. My plane got a time of 1:37 and flew through all rings. Both planes were flown by AI in the race I did. Just FYI.
@PlanesOfOld
I don't know. It says no XML-modded engines or fuel tanks. My NA-1 designs meets those rules but it's XML-modded free. My wing panels are xml modded to fit with the wings so the plane looks realistic. I'm PRETTY SURE they mean no XML mod engines or fuel tanks. I think modded parts using Overload/Fine Tuner are far game.
Only Ace Combat game I've played was Ace Combat 6. Really fun game, great story, but my favorite plane in the series has to be the ASF-X Shinden II, ADF-01 FALKEN, CFA-44 Nosferatu, or the X-02 Wyvern. However regarding the ADFX-01/02 Morgan, it would probably be pretty useless in a real air battle. I mean it carriers only 2 wing pylons on each wing, and has the rear-mounted laser (TLS). Thats it. And it's not like the missiles can regenerate or anything. IRL the Morgan would be best at a one-on-one duel (like in ACZ). At least the ADF-01 FALKEN had weapons bays to fit like 4 more missiles.

Or, make two copies of this, and continue one as the F-22 and the other as the F/A-XX.

@Sauce

@DarthAbhinav
ok I'll try that
F/A-XX would be cool.
How to I go on SP Multiplayer? I have the mod but I could never figure out how to get online.

This version has the S-word edited out to comply with the no-swearing policy on simpleplanes.
