@Texasfam04
Oh ok sure thing. I'll tag you on any other sneak peek posts I have. Thanks, I hope this hits it out of the ball park. Took me about a month to do this plane. It's definitely my sexiest plane yet. Compared to the Lark this is a work of art.
@Texasfam04
Yea I was going to upload it today, but I had to do some spring cleaning. Anyways I don't have anything to do tomorrow (other than church) so for sure I'll upload the Storm Petrel then. At most it will be Monday, since I have no school (Spring Break), but I'll try to upload on Sunday.
Beautiful and original design! I originally deleted this comment when I saw it was a successor to DerekSP's BA-9X until I read this was your alt account. :p
@Razor3278
Yep. The exhaust flames occur when you activate WEP. WEP essentially injects a certain amount of water into the fuel/air mixture and lowers combustion heat, enabling the engine to achieve higher power levels as long as it keeps cool. I did the flames by mounting a VTOL nozzle at the front of the exhaust stacks and xml modded it to stretch the flame so it covers the whole stack and makes it seem like the flames are coming out the exhaust stacks. I also made the VTOL nozzle smaller so it's less noticeable.
@F104Deathtrap
Damn. I also heard that the jamming equipment on the EA-6B was the same case. If activated on the ground, it could harm any ground crew (or more correctly carrier crew). I'm pretty sure it was worse for the EF-111 since that was a powerful jammer.
@F104Deathtrap
I prefer a long and streamlined nose section. I think the Storm Petrel is my sexiest design to date. Also wonderful MiG-25 you made there!
@F104Deathtrap
What about it? The prop hubs are long for streamlining purposes. They were originally much shorter but they resulted in quite a bit of drag so I lengthened the prop hubs for streamlining. Is the nose too long? (particularly the prop hubs)
I need to get a good gaming laptop (or PC). I have an old 2009 Gateway office PC, Windows 7 with an Intel i3 CPU, and 6GB of RAM. Can't run most modern games such as FSW, War Thunder, Fishing Planet, DCS: World, or Rise of Flight. At least it has about 1TB of storage. :)
During the development of my new upcoming NA-4 Storm Petrel, the custom landing gear suspension (retractable) kept collapsing when landing or at high taxi speeds. I had the mass for the piston and the supporting structures set at .1 to save weight, but it turns out it made the structure very very weak. So I set the whole gear leg with all it's components back at 1 for mass and it didn't collapse anymore. I guess for pistons, hinges, rotators, etc. you'll have to have the mass at 1 or above. Going lower than 1 reduces structure integrity.
@Mustang51
It's cool but not my best design. The handling (particularly the maneuverability) is rather poor. More like an interceptor UCAV than a dogfighter. Oh I get it, 51st download, Mustang51 lol.
@Mustang51
Thanks, I think your the 600th person to download this. I made a photo recon variant but I haven't uploaded it yet. I also just finished a new fighter design too. I'll be uploading both probably on the weekend before Spring Break.
@Mustang51
No I don't have a pictame account. I only use YouTube and Facebook for social media, and even then I hardly post anything on either of them.
@Texasfam04
Thanks! I think this is my first racer that raced cleanly and never crashed (Didn't watch the live stream, but the stats say it ran a clean race until it lost to another racer).
First Glance: YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAASSSSSSSS!!!!!
Second Glance: Wait.....
Third Glance/Realization: NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

@Texasfam04
Also I already made a sneak peek of the NA-4 on the forums.

Damn this is freaking epic!
But the real question is, does it have STOL?
+2More than likely going to upload tomorrow just FYI.
@AdlerSteiner
Ah ok. Is it going to be released limited time again?
@AdlerSteiner
Let me guess this is that screenshot editing mod that only a select few have?
INCREDIBLE!!!! FINALLY WE HAVE PROPER BOMB AIMING!
+3@AdlerSteiner
Is it in the mod page?

How did you insert a blueprint in the designer/editor?
@Razor3278
+1No problem this is a sweet design!
@Caveman999
Oh thanks for adding me into there!
My favorite car has to be the Chevy Corvette C7. I'll take that Corvette C7 ANY DAY over any European supercar (Lambo, Ferrari, Porsche, etc.)
@Razor3278
Sure thing. When I release it you can dissect the exhaust stacks and see how I did it.

+1Well that's going to get a ton of upvotes, and probably be featured!
Awesome! Reminds me of the DeHaviland DHC-7.
+1@FastDan
Sure if I can remember.
@NazyaMilitare
Cool!
Damn there is actually a sort-of nation RP in SP? Wow.
WHAT??? AGAIN? He deleted his account a second time? Damn. Did he ever say why?
+1For when you absolutely want to turn the ground below you to no-man's-land or evaporate enemy tanks or ships from existence.
+1@Mustang51
Thanks. It's a pretty neat little fighter.
@Mustang51

@Mustang51
Either propulsion systems fit the twin-boom design.
@Mustang51
+1Thanks!
@Mustang51
That would be epic. Your really good at the twin-boom style/design.
@Mustang51

@Mustang51
No problem, another fantastic build of yours!
@Mustang51
I use "JohnnyBoythePilot" as my primary online name. It used to be Striker01 but I think JBtP fits me better and is more original lol.
@Mustang51
No I don't have a pictame account. I only use YouTube and Facebook for social media, and even then I hardly post anything on either of them.
@Sgtk
Yup. Hats off to the ATC that manages the insane traffic!
@Mustang51
Oh I didn't read the description fully, but I can tell. It's the perfect blend of the two.
@Mustang51
No problem this is a beautiful design! Very sleek and clean. Reminds me of the Sea Vixen and Vampire.
@Sgtk
Yea I'd like to go there someday, but not just go there, I'd like to fly there too!
@MEERKAT978
@Texasfam04
@AndrewGarrison
Thanks for the upvotes! I think your the first dev to upvote one of my designs.
@Patrick20206
@QingyuZhou
@SkylineAero
Thank you guys for the upvotes!

@AEGGaming
Good to hear! Can't wait!
Nice to see more general aviation aircraft in SP!
Congrats on the win bud!
+2@Sgtk
Yea I know about Oshkosh and EAA. I'm a Young Eagles member with the EAA.
