@jamesPLANESii I meant learning to build decent planes would be easier if the in-game tutorial was updated with more advanced stuff, there are quite a few things that the game doesn't teach you like FT and xml modding. Kinda weird how there are so many features that the game doesn't even mention but everyone uses them constantly here.
Man that's not how it works, the game can't just take a bunch of parts, combine them into one and have every single part still work the same as before.
What if i combine a wing and a fuselage? How does the game know where the wing ends and the fuselage starts if it's all the same part? Plus, even if the game could somehow combine the parts without getting rid of their properties, it would still have to calculate every part individually, making the feature worthless.
And that's not even accounting for the models, while a jet canopy built with 15 parts may look like a connected, smooth shape to you, the game still sees that as 15 individual parts with very specific positions. How would it know what the combined part would look like? And how would it create a 3d model on the fly for it? Seems like a cool idea in theory, but won't work in practice.
I don't think anything will work considering the only thing you can change on floppy rotators is the range, why exactly does it need to be floppy? Wouldn't a rotator with a input counter to whatever the floppy one moves along to work well enough? I could test the plane to try to find a solution if you want, just tag me on the post.
Oh wait i just noticed you said floppy rotators, for those go into overload, inputcontroller and change min to 0 and max to 1 (or min to -1 and max to 0, depending on the direction.)
@BeastHunter @X99STRIKER X99 could, in theory, upvote every single one of your "friend"'s aircraft posts to give him 1.7k points, not that i'd know cough.
I am deeply sorry to say this, but the Terms of Service clearly state no user below the age of 13 years is allowed to own a simpleplanes.com account. This sadly means your account will be terminated immediately, feel free to make a new one once you're old enough.
@BeastHunter Custom wing is made of both plus rotators, variables uhh... i just use them for ft code i'm too lazy to edit on multiple parts so idk what else they do.
The ranks are also kinda weird, instead of the Bronze > Silver > Gold > Platinum you have here instead they have way more of different colors like green and blue. Plus they aren't as easy to identify since some look so similar.
@AlmostADev Cockpit is the same but yeah, i know how to make custom airfoils now. Btw this is using EternalDarkness' method, apparently there are a few older ones that have higher part counts.
k

+1T :)
+2The mirror button sometimes also bugs out, instead of mirroring the parts it just duplicates them and they turn pink. This game is incredibly buggy.
+1@SepticRedhead Not really beginning since i've been here for 5 months but thanks!
@jamesPLANESii Would be a lot easier with updated tutorials.
@Titaninfernal1 It was simple 7 years ago when the game first released, a bit late to change the name now.
@BeastHunter Man you look so weird without the gold rank
+4I'm on page 56, funny.
+1I like the 2 engine one more, T.
+1@PlaneFlightX Look man it takes a lot of air and fuel to move a 9 meter titanium cube through the air at mach 22 alright?
+3@ReinMcDeer no, T

@ColonelCanada It doesn't.
+2@Dathcha Don't worry, i spoke to him in private and he said he's just taking a break from building to work on the update.

@WilliamHenryHarrison
hmmm...
+2@ZeroWithSlashedO check my second comment

clamp01(inputhere)
orclamp(inputhere, -1, 0)
depending on the side it rotates to.Remember kids: hyperlinks are a scam
+2git 'gud' may not be a git command, but it sure makes for a great plane.
+5The real bossfight is figuring out how to close SP before it eats all your RAM and crashes your pc forcing you to restart. 11/10 one time experience

+2@BeastHunter git gud
+2@leekedleek NEVER!

+1@BeastHunter Ash nazg durbatulûk, ash nazg gimbatul,
+2Ash nazg thrakatulûk agh burzum-ishi krimpatul.
@BeastHunter What are you trying to summon?
+4@NakAk
@Aviator01 Maybe his parents loved the game so much they created an account for him the second he was born.
+6It's the first game i've played for longer than a week or two without either getting bored and quitting or taking a gigantic break. So i guess?

+11@AlmostADev NEVER!
@AlmostADev Hm?
I'm one step ahead
Never heard of this game. Also no this isn't breaking any rules so it wont be removed, just change the tag to off-topic.

+4@BeastHunter I fail to see how
+1@BeastHunter That's a baggage bay, plus i'm not that good at the game lol
+1@BeastHunter Now that i think about it... why would a 4-seat civilian plane need a cargo bay? Wouldn't it be kind of weird to have one?
+1@BeastHunter Not sure how that would work out but i could try.
+1No, but maybe you could try using the engine thrust as the input.
+2Nice
+2Oh, so you take drawing requests?
Edit: RAM brain moment
+1No one reads the pinned forum.
@AlmostADev Better than just rushing it and ending up with tons of problems.

@AlmostADev Nope, try comparing it to the uploaded version.
