@Boeing727200F Does it lag?
Render distance is one of the few graphical settings which you want as high as possible for practical reasons. See more stuff.
@Boeing727200F C’est la vie.
Curious, what’s your render distance at? I’ve heard Java has worse render distances than Bedrock but idk what that means in practice. A PS5 tops out at 28 chunks.
@LunarEclipseSP Absolutely. More paint, more droplets to spend on more capacity.
I struggle to find uses for mine. I should probably go find an Eefo to join, but I can’t seem to find the giant one in Newfoundland and Labrador…
@PZLAgencies You mean the newest update. How can you tell it’s Java?
Cheats doesn’t mean “creative mode”. It means anything that is the base gameplay. Keep inventory, mob griefing, daylight cycle, etc. anything that disables achievements.
I play with Keep Inventory on and I have areas that look like that because it’s still survival, just without losing everything when I die.
@Michiganstatepolicethe2nd There’s only so big you can make missiles until you’ve created an ICBM. That, or a cruise missile that’s piss easy to shoot down. At that point just use a submarine.
Also, many ships can be part of a network (including satellites).
No, larger ships can only be the exclusive carriers of weapons for which the power is sources from the ship itself. So, energy weapons or giant cannons. Things which just can’t fit in smaller hulls.
@LunarEclipseSP How high is your capacity? I have over 3200 but only because I overfilled from 2800. A total waste, especially because it was actually at around 3100 went I increased the limit.
I had I think nearly 80k droplets at the time, wasted because of my poor time management and inability to increase the limit slowly.
Here’s a random detail you may get a kick out of:
When I emphasis ‘years’ with italics it’s supposed to be read as drawn-out (“yeeaarrss”)
This is a part (small, but still a part) of my speaking habits courtesy of my father, who does the same thing. Me and the rest of my family like to tease him about that sometimes.
Inconsequential, but hey, now you know how to read it “properly” lol
@Boeing727200F I know lol you’ve ranted about this before.
Shit sucks.
I’ve only played Roblox once and they was years ago on a laptop without a battery that I never used again. Some game about blowing up houses with increasingly powerful weapons. Idk, cheap shit.
Just maybe try to avoid an “the author’s barely-disguised fetish” situation. Of course, I’d trust you to not to be so depraved, but if you’ve got a planet populated entirely with giant-eared fox people you’re kinda showing your hand lol.
Don’t forget that what you include is a reflection on you, however you may handle that.
Personally I take no issue with being seen as a misanthrope tired of human bullshit, because I am one. Some people may want to keep such an opinion under wraps, though, so would have to watch themselves not to make it too obvious how they feel.
I guess what I’m saying is write things down, but have the sense to know when something is a bad idea in regards to what people will think of you.
I am curious, though, what medium you were considering?
@LunarEclipseSP @Boeing727200F I feel like an orphan in the streets begging for another peanut while Mr. and Mrs. Moneybags laugh and jeer at me with sarcastic Yuletide well-wishes.
There’s no such thing as too niche. Even things with little connection to the story can help flesh out a setting and make it all feel more “real” to work in.
An audience may not see every piece of information, but they may be able to sense the connections.
I’d suggest getting your ideas down somewhere, if you can. Harder to forget things that way.
Hell, maybe if you can get yourself to dump a few hundred words into a file explaining some niche detail you’ll be able to get something going. Who knows?
@Boeing727200F Don’t I know it…
It’s been over a month, I believe, since the last entry to Grainthology was released. Next one hasn’t even been reviewed to be sent to pre-readers.
Writing can be fun (if you get into the swing of things), but editing is joyless. Hard to motivate when there’s a hundred other things to do.
Even writing is a tough one, since you need to actually get going in the first place. That’s tough.
Merry Christmas you arseholes I just got Rickrolled in the first 9 minutes.
+1And only now I notice Boeing has no torso...
hahaha when will the pain end
ngl switching between the two versions is kinda uncanny.
They become SMOOTH.
@Boeing727200F That's the name?
+1Roblox, I assume?
@TitanVector ok
+1this isn't my Christmas post but ok
ho ho ho
merryy chrsiastm
it comed
@Boeing727200F @LunarEclipseSP RTX On
+2@Boeing727200F Of what?
+1@Boeing727200F um
are you okay?
@Boeing727200F yeah you need to increase that.
@Boeing727200F Oh? What mods?
@Boeing727200F oh snap! What’s your charge limit at? If it’s lower than 2800 then you should increase it.
@Boeing727200F Java specifically?
@Boeing727200F Ah.
Might need to reshape to preserve the diagonal view illusion.
@Boeing727200F what
@Boeing727200F Don’t tell me you’re one of those heathens that create new worlds at a whim.
@Boeing727200F Shame. Long render distances are the best.
How old is the world?
Not in my working time zone. Still waiting.
@Boeing727200F Does it lag?
Render distance is one of the few graphical settings which you want as high as possible for practical reasons. See more stuff.
@Monarchii What? Who? What? I’m confused. What post?
@Monarchii it’s cool now. Already mentioned it to them.
@Boeing727200F C’est la vie.
Curious, what’s your render distance at? I’ve heard Java has worse render distances than Bedrock but idk what that means in practice. A PS5 tops out at 28 chunks.
@Boeing727200F wack.
I assume Christmas mode is Java only. Present chests and whatnot, no?
@LunarEclipseSP Sounds wise.
+1@PZLAgencies Yeah I got no idea what you’re pointing at.
@Boeing727200F Surprised you didn’t start with it on?
@Boeing727200F Most people only sleep with one thing. It’s called monogamy.
Badum-tss
@LunarEclipseSP Absolutely. More paint, more droplets to spend on more capacity.

@LunarEclipseSP Ah. Yeah, you definitely need more. You shouldn’t ever be hitting the limit. That’s a huge waste.
+1@PZLAgencies “new version”? You mean Bedrock? And how can you tell it’s without cheats?
@Michiganstatepolicethe2nd There’s only so big you can make missiles until you’ve created an ICBM. That, or a cruise missile that’s piss easy to shoot down. At that point just use a submarine.

@Jmestes That’s not very nice.

@TheLoadingGorilla I can tell I’m abnormal for human standards.
@keiyronelleavgeek566 I need answers.
@TheLoadingGorilla you’re definitely abnormal
Haha what is real anymore
@SupremeDorian can you confirm or deny rumours (originating from me, right now) that Chad will gain the ability to wield a lead pipe in the full game?
+2Here’s a random detail you may get a kick out of:

@TheLoadingGorilla Perhaps visual-based challenges just aren’t interesting?

@TheLoadingGorilla doubt, sadly.
Guess it seemed too labour-intensive to most people.

@Jmestes Stupid
+1I think this is getting first or second place by the fact there’s only been two submissions.
:/
