@ThePilotDude Humiliating but very common unfortunately. Thus, my username. I wonder how many German pilots made the same mistake in WW2? A ME-262 would probably crater just as easy as a F-94.
@ThePilotDude Killing yourself in first and second generation jets was surprisingly easy, especially at night up in the mountains. The PO-2 was notorious for slow and low night raids and fighters always had a hard time intercepting them. But yes, quite a humiliation for the USAF.
There was a whole feature film about ultralights back in the 80s. Starring Mak Hamill and Bill Paxton, it was called Slipstream and it was about a postapocalyptic world where everyone got around in ragged ultralights and hot air balloons. Not the best flick ever, but still pretty cool.
@TheWhistlingDeath Usually I build the fuselage (no hollow) but I paint the block (or blocks) where the cockpit will go a different color. Then I take thin blocks and try to smoothly cover the different colored blocks, when that is done, I nudge the colored blocks away and delete them, leaving a nice hollow area to drop in the interior pieces.
Add the moving parts LAST. Rotors and pistons just love to randomly attach to stuff, so the earlier in the build you add them the more stuff you have to tear apart and rebuild.
In terms of wow facter, SpiritusRaptor and Qingyuzhou have some of the most detailed planes on here. There was also an excellent F-14 build a few weeks ago.
@SledDriver Skip the movie, unless you like Disney family flicks from the 80's. It's called a Trimaxion Drone Ship if you'd rather just search for images, the design itself has aged pretty well.
@Datom No! Building a low part count plane is challenging if you intend to include special stuff like cockpit interiors. You made very efficient use of your pieces.
@RamboJutter I get shiny parts when I stretch them too far, the game gets kind of funny about parts bigger than 10 blocks long. No idea why. Whatevs, this thing is awesome, keep it up.
@RamboJutter The new one you posted? I'll check it out. The weird thing is that it loads into the builder easy as pie. Darn shame too, looks like you spent a ton of time on it and she looks gorgeous. Not to mention this is probably the most important allied fighter in the European theatre when you consider its role in the Battle of Britain.
-Edit- The Hound loads and flies fine. The Mk2d loads s l o w l y (sometimes crashes) but flies just fine. Quite a bit of texture glitching, (shiny parts, jittering etc) but the shapes and flight model are so excellent
@CRJ900Pilot I only bring it up when people use the magic words "What should I build"
Also, you should. Everyone should. The Belphegor should be the most sickeningly popular plane on here! More played-out than the Mustang, Spitfire, Messerschmitt and Schwalbe combined.
@Sheeper Oh, so it's really a combat aircraft. I understand now. The A-26 Invader was like that, a bomber that was refitted to fight fires and then refitted again to secretly drop "supplies" for the CIA.
@Bearclaw189 The Skyknight? Oh, I have to agree, I just love Douglas aircraft.

@Bearclaw189 Starfire was just a Shootingstar modified with 2 seats and radar. Definitely wasn't a Meteor.
@Bearclaw189 Click the link, dude.
@Minecraftpoweer Ya, I woulda linked to the wiki but you have to dig and dig to get to it. The reddit does link to the wiki tho
@Strikefighter04 Unblocked, sorry bout that.
@GermanWarMachine Crap, I did but no idea why. I'll pull him off ASAP
@GermanWarMachine As they said on reddit PO-2 IS 2 OP.
Stole my haircut. Wtf

@RailfanEthan The crown weighs heavy on your brow, master. Perhaps it is time for a new king?
Can confirm. Used 4 letter word, was put in my place by mod. 0/10 Would not recommend to friends/family.
Yes. Just use xml to give airbrakes a negative max value, your plane will continue to accelerate until the speed crashes the game.
@RailfanEthan You just earned yourself 5 upvotes, amigo.
@SledDriver lol
@SledDriver Convergent evolution, similar tools for similar jobs take on similar shapes. Happens with birds all the time.

@FastDan Yeah, center of mass is too high. Attach a few VERY heavy things to the underside of the bus and maybe consider shortenting the suspension.

@Sinacraft Thanks!
I can't think of any way to improve upon the incredibly realistic handling and performance of this jet. I am impressed.
Ever see a movie called Flight of the Navigator ? Some of your builds bear a striking resemblence.
The funny part? Flying this is so much more fun than the real thing!
The merciless tide of awesome builds continues!
This plane looks great! You should enter a description.
I wonder if anyone will do such a terrible job that their entry gets mistaken for a Vickers Valiant.
Impressively detailed.
The old-school radar array looks awesome!
Who would suspect a thing?
Awwww yeah! Much cooler looking than the original concept drawings, awesome job.
Cool plane! Reminds me of the one from Indiana Jones.
@FlyingThings Same thing, basically. Good job!
"1950's stuff"
WAT?
Got Star Citizen alpha to run, huh?
Harder suspension means less flipping in turns.
@WaffleCakes Yes. YES! YESSS!

Plane crashed the game when I tried to fly it. It even automatically deleted it. Looks great tho.
Very cool
@CRJ900Pilot XD

PZL M15 "Belphegor"
You're welcome.
