Considering the planes it has inspired, this is certainly the best contest I've seen on here. Requiring a type of plane designed to be fun and easy to use; then emphasizing performance and handling as much as looks has caused a flood of awesome planes over the last month. Stuff like this is what makes game communities awesome, you should be very proud.
Having said that, you will be hearing from my attornies if I don't win
Fun fact, this thing crashes my game each tine I try to fly it. I can still load it into the builder though, so I'm almost done the engine and I'll throw in a pair of custom props no extra charge. You'll have to mod the engine strength of the props to fit your final product using xtml modding only because if you to to modify them in the builder they will bug out. Feel free to move or reattach them tho.
Maryland is weird tho, because even tho it's not that big, if you say "I'm from MD" it can mean a lot of things. Like the difference between the DC suburbs or the eastern shore or southern MD or Hagerstown/Pennsatucky or that crazy panhandle bit everyone forgets about or Baltimore. The cultural differences get a bit crazy for such a small state.
Hey, hey, I know that plane! She's a lot prettier with that dark paint, but I should point out that the one I uploaded her with was the exact shade of blue-gray the navy used during the battle of Midway.
Any trouble with her? Anything you wish I'd done a bit better? I'm glad you like her, I think I spent more time on that Dauntless than anything else.
Welcome to the friendliest videogame I've ever seen online. Knock on wood.
Tip: It's perfectly ok to download modify and reupload someone else's stuff, but nobody will ever upvote it. It's better to build your own bad stuff than upload someone else's good stuff.
That said, if there's something you want to learn how to do, it's a good idea to download something that did it and rip it apart to find out how.
@Mustang51 Thanks! Yeah, I really do love 50's and 60's jets but I seem to have more luck with older planes. I think it has to do with how people used to design them based off of "look and feel" rather than a solid understanding of fluid dynamics.
@ThePilotDude Yeah, I hadn't considered that. Apparently foxes are a big deal in France, I used the name "venard" in a game once and got bombarded with a lot of conversations in a language I cant read.
@Mustang51 Doolittle was an amazing person. He graduated from MIT with a doctorate in aeronautical engineering, the first american to earn such a degree, and was the first person to take off, fly and land an airplane solely by cockpit instruments (the windows were completely covered over). The 20's and 30's were full of amazing people like that, hence the series I'm working on.
Does President Xi have something like this, a sort of PLAAF-One?
Acer huh, better get a lap fan. My brother had a $400 Acer, he thought he was a genius till it got hot and burned his belly.

@CRJ900Pilot Now that is something I havent tried. I'll give it a shot when I get a chance.
@Harambe ?
@Phoza Thanks!
Well, hello Mr. Fancypants! Very nice work!
@ThePilotDude Did all of those before posting. Check the upload, it's bizarre
Thanks! @KidKromosone
@CRJ900Pilot @JamesPlanesii HALLLLP!
Okay, here it is

@Datom Thats the tie-breaker. Thanks
@Frogulaone Glad you liked it and good job
@laSoul Click me at your peril
@TheWhistlingDeath Will do!
@jamesPLANESii Seriously, this thing is beautiful. Excellent job
Not bad. But she cant hold a candle to my beloved Jenny. XD
@LusKa Yes, link
@laSoul Why?
Nice build. I especially like the fuselage.
@Rhombus Likewise!
It is fitting that you rebuilt it for the Martin version, and the camo looks great. I am in envy of your skills.
@Rhombus My wife's from Towson, not a bad place to live. I'm north of DC.
@jamesPLANESii Link me when it's done, she looks likeca dream

@GINGER01 Part count is 459

+1Oh you cheeky little... That's a very nice trainer aircraft you seem to have developed during the delayed deadline of a certain competition. XD
Maryland is best, way cooler than Virginia.
Now how am I supposed to run that on my TI-82 graphing calculator?!

WTH? TIED 5 to 5?!?!

@ThePilotDude Yes, luck, chance and fate all mean the same thing in English
Nothing quite like the roar of a Pratt&Whitney Double-Wasp!
@ThePilotDude It's just weird, the whole thing started out overwhelmingly one way, and now it's reversed.
@RaZoRgAmInGxD Working on a low part count version, yes.
@Dllama4 I was considering a PO-2, but then I discovered half a dozen excellent examples already on here.
Thanks for the spot @SGTK
@ThePilotDude I wonder if this is some sort of time zone thing.
@MrSilverWolf Eff yeah! Except later. XD
@KSPFSXandSP Thanks! My next project tells a very similar story, I think you'll dig it.

+1@KSPFSXandSP Yeah, Anglophilia has won the day by a wide margin.
@MisterT Thanks man! Lemme know if there's anything you want to see improved in my next plane.
@Gestour LOLOLOL Ironically, the Brits had us beat by a mile when it came to speed before WW2. But I like that XD
