@RyneKuczy I did that at first. He was like "tell me more", and then disregarded given advices completely. I am always trying to put myself in place of the person who I'm talking to, and not say anything I consider rude/harmful. I'm always trying to give "constructive criticism", and I always expect to get it. To be honest, I'm getting tired of people not finding any flaws in my builds, or not pointing them out. I'm giving criticism, and I'm expecting those who I criticize to improve, and tell me how to improve. Ccooper doing neither of these caused my dissatisfaction.
@Squirrel in that case, I strongly believe that you are too sentimental to moderate. I am not used to such sensitive people. In my experience, "not good enough" is means "you should improve", not "I hate you". I gave ccooper advices about improving his style. He seemed interested, and then dumped those down the toilet. I find that to be rude. That, and his lack of constructive criticism on other people's models, compelled me to use him multiple as an example of how a high ranking user should not behave. Saying "nice plane" and upvoting is also not constructive criticism.
@Shampooshark you did not. I am always open for a discussion, especially educative one. If you ever have some negative criticism for me, or something to discuss, just say it. I'm not easy to offend, especially if nothing offensive is said. Could you make a xebec (Mediterranean fast ship) next?
@Squirrel true that, but the bad feedback is also a kind of feedback. If we are expected to provide feedback, don't expect it to always be of a good kind. What happened with ccooper is a typical example of somebody not being able to handle negative feedback, or, if you want, bad criticism. The point where "constructive criticism" turns into "hate speech" doesn't exist. Saying "I don't like this, it doesn't fulfill my personal expectations" is criticism. Saying "you are ####### and you should go #######!" is hate speech. They are not too similar.
@Shampooshark no problem, m8. What made me think it's a schooner is the aft mast being taller than the fore mast, and yes, mostly fore-and-aft rigging.
@Squirrel that would not be possible. Most of the users involved made an effort not to make a bannable offense. Also, most other users think of it as systematic bullying, and that is not true. It was a lot of separate cases.
It took me five attempts to get it to fly (almost) straight, and then I managed to fly it from Bandit to Yager, and make a Roswell style landing =). So much fun.
EDIT: took off from Gold prix and landed smoothly on Wright.
It's so cute. Have you thought about posting more than one screen shot? The limit is three. Use them to better present your plane. Many users upvote based on screen shots only, so having more screen shots might help you gain upvotes.
@OtterOfToast I am following a lot of silver, bronze, and even some white users. I am responsible for one users advance of almost two thousand points, from white to silver, in only few hours. I don't follow you, because you, individually, are not interesting.
@OtterOfToast because you are not interesting enough to other users? Because high quality users have qualitative expectations for users of certain ranks? I don't know. I never paid too much attention to you, to be honest.
I disagree. In my experience, it depends of individual users. I, for example, rarely communicated before I reached 10k points. Now that I am platinum, I tend to spend more time convesating with lower ranking users, giving out advices ad stuff. Others start on the forums before actually uploading anything. I don't think there's a rank gap.
Great job, m8. It's not every day that I see such well built and detailed ships. I don't like the bow, but I understand that USS Zumwalt was an inspiration for it, so that too is good.
Hmm, it's nice. Well armed. I like it. There is, of course, room for improvement, as it is a bit out of proportion, but generally speaking, taking into consideration the amount of experience you have with builds like this and the quality of my early ships, you have a great potential. Keep practicing. Practice to perfection.
Well, Roman empire fell, Austro-Hungarian empire fell, Ottoman empire fell, German empire fell, British Empire fell, Russian empire fell... Empires do fall, as the eventually become obsolete. Of course, I don't think SP community is falling apart, but empires do fall eventually.
@NIGHTWING1 you can use my builds for your stories/role-plays, just like everyone else. I will not actively participate in the role-play, if there is one.
@Himynameiswalrus nice. It will, of course, take some time for you to acquire your own taste in details, but it's good. One can easily feel the effort you have put into it.
@RyneKuczy well, some of them, like F100 and F3D look like a quick work. Others are, in my opinion, good.

@baallzebub no problem.

My last two planes. In real life, Antonov An2 and Ilyushin Il76.
@baallzebub yes, they are amazing. I think it would be better if they were assigned to activation group, so I can trim without extending flaps.
@Shampooshark great. Can't wait to see it.
Really nice. That cockpit looks great. It's amazing how you achieved such a realistic look without cramming details.
How come this plane never got an upvote? It's good.

Cute

Really nice. Details are good, and so is it overall design. I just can't help but notice that it actually looks more like a schooner, and a good one.
@blackvultureaeroespace that only requires practice.
@blackvultureaeroespace no problem. You really have potential in that area.
I'm sorry I couldn't contribute. I was busy. Although it's already too big for me to download, I can't wait to see final version.
@Squirrel that would not be possible. Most of the users involved made an effort not to make a bannable offense. Also, most other users think of it as systematic bullying, and that is not true. It was a lot of separate cases.
@blackvultureaeroespace hey, you went bronze! Congrats!
@blackvultureaeroespace maybe. It's not based on any real aircraft, but it might be similar to some.
Hey, it's the fleet utility ship! I never saw those around here. Nice work, m8!
@dogspit lol. I enjoy flying it.
It took me five attempts to get it to fly (almost) straight, and then I managed to fly it from Bandit to Yager, and make a Roswell style landing =). So much fun.

@BaconAircrafts thanks. Your builds are amazing too.
But you go ballistic every time you see me... Make a forum post stating your opinion and attacking everyone who disagrees is not quite friendly.
@cvoky no problem

@OtterOfToast being nice and being honest don't go together in this community. I prefer second opinion.
Nice. Looks like flying Ferrari

@General360 we can conversate on the chat, but not right now. Sorry.
@OtterOfToast because you are not interesting enough to other users? Because high quality users have qualitative expectations for users of certain ranks? I don't know. I never paid too much attention to you, to be honest.
@ollyvalentine no problem. Always there to judge and advise =}

@NIGHTWING1 do so. Just tell me when you do it, so I can comment "approved successor". I don't want it to be removed.
Well, Roman empire fell, Austro-Hungarian empire fell, Ottoman empire fell, German empire fell, British Empire fell, Russian empire fell... Empires do fall, as the eventually become obsolete. Of course, I don't think SP community is falling apart, but empires do fall eventually.
@NIGHTWING1 feel free to modify it yourself. If you want to upload modification, remind me to approve successor.
@NIGHTWING1 you can use my builds for your stories/role-plays, just like everyone else. I will not actively participate in the role-play, if there is one.
@NIGHTWING1 try with the user ChasingHorizon. He makes ww2 battleships.
It looks so realistic that Serbian SAMs are smiling
@NIGHTWING1 search through my profile and see which one you like.
You got me terribly worried for a second. Glad at least you are staying.
@Himynameiswalrus no problem. I'm glad you payed attention to my advice.
@Himynameiswalrus nice. It will, of course, take some time for you to acquire your own taste in details, but it's good. One can easily feel the effort you have put into it.
@iFalco hehe
Yes
@Somethingismadebyme aha, super.
