@EliteIndustries1 nothing to be sorry about. I'm sorry if I sounded a bit cranky. I'm not bothered by this conversation, just generally bored by an uneventful day.

  • Story 8.6 years ago

@EliteIndustries1 I speak fluent English. As I mentioned, I read many novels in English.

  • Story 8.6 years ago

@MrTyTheGreat please don't take my comment as some sort of insult. It's just advice, to hopefully help you improve your writing further. I'll be waiting for your next story.

  • Story 8.6 years ago

@EliteIndustries1 I never published. I wrote throughout my school, and I was the best in my class, having been accused my my literature teachers of stealing work of some world-famous writers. Having read over 700 novels in both Serbian (my native language) and English, I can say that I do know stuff about writing. I would post some of my work, but it's all written in Serbian, and you wouldn't understand more than a couple of words. I might start writing in English some day.

  • Story 8.6 years ago

Not bad. A bit too quick in shifting between scenes and centuries, but a feeling for that comes with experience. You jumped straight from a description of a cottage to an over-detailed description of a man. You fitted description of his routine quite well after that. Him suddenly jumping from the chair and reaching for that book as if he found a cure for cancer doesn't fit the tempo of the story to, and from that point. Also, you failed to use quotation marks where they are supposed to be (He gazed over the the book and stopped dead in his tracks. "Let the cheese age for twenty five years".). Also, "The old man was nearing the end of his insignificant life, and he did not know if he would last twenty five more years, in fact, each day was a welcome surprise." are supposed to be two sentences, separated by a dot, not a comma.
To conclude, you have some potential, but your technique needs some more practice. Don't give up, keep writing, and your technique and style will improve.

  • Sorry It's taking a while! 8.6 years ago

It looks nice. Just don't forget to paint tires black (I've seen it happen).

Play SimpleBoats instead (make a ship on SP) =)

Very well done. Simple, but good looking.

  • Hi! 8.6 years ago

@GenericEric986 not iFalco, I know him. Not General360 either, as I know him too. Probably not Gestour, as I have contact with him too, and we are on friendly terms. When I eliminate all of the inactive guys I know personally and have contact with, you could be any one of the other more-than-twenty experienced old users who left/went inactive. Please tag me when you decide to reveal your old identity, so I know who to welcome back.

  • Medium ship hull needed 8.6 years ago

How big is "medium"? I have made a lot of ships. Find the one that suits you, strip everything from it, and make your own ship on that hull. Of course, make it a successor or give credit in the description

  • BMC Badger MRAP 8.6 years ago

Very well done. Interior details are great.

  • M.Corp PB Sprinter 8.6 years ago

@A3 then your grandad made some awesome ships. The name M.Corp stands for Maletic Corporation. My last name is Maletic.

  • M.Corp PB Sprinter 8.6 years ago

@AdrianFlyingAce the steering wheel used to work, but turning it would yank the ship every time, so I disabled it's rotator. You can use XML to make the steering wheel work again. I saw the trick with small floats on pistons on some hydrofoil ship on the site.

  • M.Corp PB Sprinter 8.6 years ago

@AdrianFlyingAce I didn't invent that trick. I saw it on some other boat and improved it. Thanks for noticing.

  • :D 8.6 years ago

The first image is Kaman KMax. Blades are rotating in opposite directions, and they are set at an angle, so they are interlocking without colliding.

  • M.Corp PB Sprinter 8.6 years ago

@DeathStalker627 wait till you see what I have in store. Or hop on to steam, and ask to view my game. I'll be on for a next fifteen minutes or so.

  • SOM-J With Activation Groups 8.6 years ago

@DeathStalker627 yeah, they are very good-looking missiles.

  • M.Corp PB Sprinter 8.6 years ago

@Jorgerayo I don't make replicas. There are already some nice An-225s on the site.

  • M.Corp PB Sprinter 8.6 years ago

    @Cedy117 thanks

  • Upvotes 8.6 years ago

@AfterShock I know that, but I also know my mindset when I'm on an upvote spree. "This guy is my friend, he gets an upvote.", "I didn't upvote this guy in quite a while, but I used to like his old builds, so...", "This looks interesting. No time to test it, so I'll just leave my upvote here."... I believe that there are many others that do the same. If they cared for my build, they would have left a comment. Also, I don't really care about upvotes. They are nice, but I'm more into comments, especially those with feedback. Then I know that somebody actually likes my build, and I know what I should improve to make the next one even better. Many users are playing a social game on the site. Trying to communicate with everyone, to appear as friendly as they can, following trends, just to score more points. I like to think that my skill is the only source of my points. There are many more reasons for me to dislike thanking for upvotes, also including the fact that I consider "Thanks" comment filling up my notifications spam.

  • Upvotes 8.6 years ago

You are thanking people for every upvote? I always only thanked people on reviews. Those who won't even bother to give me opinion about my build, don't get a "Thank you".

  • MCS Slicer (FGM-3) 8.6 years ago

@Joco80 I want to make a steam ship anyway

  • MCS Slicer (FGM-3) 8.6 years ago

@Joco80 if I said I'll do it, then that's how it has to be. I already started working on it. I'll reuse this hull, removing underwater stabilizers, propellers, sonar, and superstructure, and I'll add side wheels and superstructure appropriate for a steam ship. Apparently, this hull matches a hull design of some paddle steamers, which makes it easy for me.

  • MCS Slicer (FGM-3) 8.6 years ago

@Joco80 ok, I'll try to make something on a subject now.

  • Ship 8.6 years ago

It looks pretty nice. I see you are already using VTOL nozzle for turning. Most of the new builders don't. However, it's quite unstable on the water

  • Airfoils 8.6 years ago

@MechWARRIOR57 in real life, terrible. On SP, everything is possible.

  • Airfoils 8.6 years ago

In real world, there are thousands of different airfoils. SP offers a few of the basic ones. Symmetric airfoil provides minimal lift with minimal difference between low-speed and high-speed performance. It's good for fast planes, like jet fighters, and for horizontal stabilizers. Semi-symmetric provides a balance of lift and speed, being good for planes that go at subsonic speeds, but are not too slow. Flat bottom airfoil provides maximum lift. It's good for STOL aircraft and gliders.

    +1

Yay, you are back. Why not on the chat? I kinda missed you.

  • Roulette 1 8.6 years ago

@Logotrax do you have SP on your computer? It'll allow you to do so much more.

  • MCS Slicer (FGM-3) 8.6 years ago

@Arhitekt It's laggy on mine too. Thanks.

  • Interstellar The Ranger 8.6 years ago

@EliteIndustries1 CoM and CoL are almost overlapping, making the plane too sensitive to pitch. I managed to keep it in the air for a while, but flying it properly would take some practice.

  • Interstellar The Ranger 8.6 years ago

@Hugo1plays yes, I got a notification. The upvote was for the design, which is above average for new users. I'll test it in flight now.

  • Interstellar The Ranger 8.6 years ago

  • Did You Know??? 8.6 years ago

@ChiChiWerx yup. It's a "Plasma" turret with six modded guns placed on a repulsorcraft. With all three of those turrets, I once sank the entire USS Beast fleet before they could shoot back.

  • I need help! 8.6 years ago

Try putting both the decorative shell and the weapon itself on detachers/pylons set to same activation group, so that they launch together. I'm not an expert on making weapons, but I think that's what other guys are doing. Maybe search for weapons packs featuring real weapons, and see how they work (go to AIRPLANES/Search).

  • Did You Know??? 8.6 years ago

I have a turret with moded guns that can sink USS Beast in a few seconds

  • j-80 skydriver 8.6 years ago

You are quite good with light aircraft.
