@ThomasRoderick the auxiliary engines (the ones that flip when you retract the landing gear) are purely cosmetic. You use throttle to gain altitude. As of the prolonged burn, I originally set the engine multiplier to 10 but I wanted to give this guy a slight disadvantage so I kicked it up to 100.
@ThomasRoderick a prime example would be this. Although it is a military ship, Core frieghters would often share the same aesthetic minus the military-grade armor and weapons.
@ThomasRoderick Core freighters store their cargo inside their hull, and is placed near the bow of the ship to prevent any blind spots. They also have a solid hull construction, keeping all components such as engines and weapon emplacements as close to the main body as possible to make it more compact.
@ThomasRoderick the Fringe is basically the outskirts of Continuum space. Unlike Core worlds, Fringe Worlds do not have wormhole gates for instantaneous travel, meaning merchants would have to rely on their ship's jump drives to get to a Fringe world. Fringe space is often filled with worlds who have refused to join the Continuum and have fallen to barbarism, thus the high presence of pirates and outlaws in these areas. Despite their refusal to join the Continuum, they are still considered members, that's why trade between Core and Fringe worlds exist. As of why some routes aren't constantly patrolled, the Continuum just got back from a war, and most of its more powerful ships have been spent in battle. The outlaws have also learned how to combat/board the smaller patrol-dedicated corvettes and cruisers, making some Navy captains hesitant of conducting patrols in these areas.
@spefyjerbf well this build turned out just fine, plus I find it one of my best-handling ships (if I tone down the thrust). Thanks again! I'm definitely making a fuselaged version of this sometime soon.
@SledDriver The design of the engine nacelles don't go well with my exhaust setup. I tried using multiple VTOL nozzles that go with the shape of the nacelles but then it made the part count go unneccesarily higher. Thanks though!
At first I was like, ok just the usual stuff, but then when I saw the cockpit I was like WOAHHH. Just by placing the windows a bit lower made me want this bad boy posted ASAP

No one breaks the platinum train
@BeaconX thank you!
@Treadmill103 thank you!
@Seeras thank you!
@PyrusEnderhunter sshhh don't let them know

I'd like to order 50,000 of these for my Navy personnel ;)

@Stellarlabs lol I guess simplicity is beauty ;)

@DarthAbhinav thank you!
@spefyjerbf thank you! I didn't expect you to like this, as I literally rushed through this build to practice xml-modding with the traditional parts.
@Dauntless look down the front of the gun on the third pic below the stats
Your mirroring is off
This comment section went from "oohh nice plane" to "trump is the greatest president ever" real quick. Nice build though!
@AtlasSP it is indeed
Nice! Could've used some custom landing gear though, especially the rear gears.
noice
@SledDriver nice! I used to have my ships fly like planes before I learned about the 2D flight system.
@SledDriver oh, yeah, I honestly forgot about that. I see you made your own mods to it as well
Nice!

@JoddyFubuki788 it is huge
@phanps b e g o n e t h o t
@phanps breath in boiiiii
@PyrusEnderhunter noice
@Potato21 no, I based this off a different concept art of a space carrier
@spefyjerbf thanks for the spotlight!
@Ihavenorealideawhatiamdoing @Seeras @ThomasRoderick thank you guys!
@DarthAbhinav @EpicPigster1 thank you guys!
nice update on the default plane!
Hmm, the cockpit's too blocky for my taste. Nice work though! Pawer!
@Mijmaj your point?
@Mijmaj I intentionally built it to be tiny so that you can mount lots of these in your spaceships, but theoretically this thing is massive.
@YuukaNeko I intentionally built it to be tiny so that you can mount lots of these in your spaceships, but theoretically this thing is massive.
@Edward1234567 I mean you have similar build styles. Glossy canopy, smooth body, matt colors and all. It's starting to lose it's uniqueness
@EpicPigster1 uhh it's supposed to be mounted on spaceships, but whatever. May your boat be blessed with ultimate power
@FlyingThings ssshhh that's a secret, and thank you!
another Hyperloop clone?
👌👌
Nice!
Nice work! Reminds me of the Reliant from Star Citizen
nice work!
Nice work! I love the bulk this plane has
I smell some cooked processors from here
