@brians1209, Thank you so much, man! I also have something for this challenge, but honestly, this deserves to win in my opinion! It looks like an F104 and an M.52 had a child
@XEP,I strongly disagree. For me, designing these crafts is about conveying a special feeling or just creating something I've thought about. The "realistic" aspect is more of a template, like when you add a bunch of pipes to your fictional steampunk creation. Of course, these pipes don't serve a real purpose, but the idea is that people accept that they do (which is easy because most of the time you also don't know what things are meant to do in imaginary worlds). This plane, in particular, is meant to convey the peculiar atmosphere of WW1 planes. They had the most beautiful paint jobs, yet they where designed to kill. For me, there's this tension between the freedom of flight and mans misuse of it. To convey something like that, I don't need to calculate wing area or anything like that. Realism is different from atmosphere. A concrete example of this would be Warhammer. Feel free to point out mistakes; I'd like to see where this conversation goes.
@Kerbango,thank you and Feel free to use anything. Yes, I have heard of the historical documentation of 'Indiana and the Jones.' What a pity they didn't have the revolutionary "rudder-avoiding munition".
@SomeSPGuyWhoLikesLore, you could make a little indie game, where the challenges arise from the limited view from the cabin and your goal is to get to some coordinates, but I think iron lung did that already
@Valiant2017, wow I could read that without a translator, I don't have a kyrillic keyboard, but here we go: spasiba! eta bil ojen trutna gla menja patamuschta ja ne cnajel kak eta dolschno begladet, hopefully you could read that. my Russian is really rusty
Love the design
