Yea, I realised that the bomb should’ve been removed about halfway into making this, but by that point I didn’t really feel like refilming all of it again @BogdanX
Yea it’s a funky trees formula. Essentially it starts a counter when you activate the internal starter, when you pull it out it checks if the counter is above a certain value, if it is the engine starts, if it isn’t it doesn’t. @Sergio666
Well implementing extra aerofoils would mean storing a lot more data for each aerofoil type and the Cl and Cd, or a lot more computation to calculate them. Realistic aerofoil shapes would be nice to have though. @Formula350
I had a camera, tracking the cockpit, attached to the craft which I dropped on the USS Beast, then I flew back round and switched camera views. @IceCraft
A rating system would suck, and I’d argue you’d still have the exact same problem. The current system we have is fine. And no we do not need a rank reset, SP is not some competitive type game, that idea is a bit silly if you ask me.
While I agree that all builds should at least strive to be somewhat part efficient, a build with a high part count isn’t necessarily flawed. There’s a certain trade-off that needs to be made between details (and accuracy for replicas) and parts, which is up for the creator to decide. Somethings just require more parts to get right.
I might take a look at the H-45, but its so massive I’m not sure if I will be able to build and run it properly. I’ve also seen your H-44, very nice build. @RussianAce
Yeah I know what he means, but whenever any part breaks in SP all the hinges and stuff get messed up, not just for glass. @Pita
Personally I’ve broken glass before and not had my entire craft become uncontrollable, so I think it might be related something else.
2500 right now, tho I think it will hit 3000 though which is a lot. My original goal was 2000 parts, but I seriously underestimated how large the damn ship was. @Davisplanez
People have known about it for a while, like there have been several forum posts about it. Only as of a few months ago did it start appearing on builds, which people found unfair since white users could now upvote. Here’s the mod post if your interested: Link@QingyuZhou
James is right, presentation is everything. When I started I had nothing and the community was already pretty well established. I only had the extremely limited mobile screenshot capabilities to use. But I picked good/eye catching colours and made sure that my plane filled the picture. I know you hate that because it’s against your “principles”, but the facts don’t care about that at all, it’s been proven to be more effective. Sure some of my planes were popular, but some certainly weren’t and most did quite well. Present your planes with better colours (the green you are using is not nice, maybe make it less matte?), fill the space, present from good angles.
You may not think it’s douchey, but clearly everyone else thinks it kinda is... A bit superfluous to add that ur planes are more accurate than simulator crafts, I very much doubt that you have incorporated more accurate stall dynamics and cockpit visuals and functionality, given SP’s notably lack of realism... I’d also press the point that access to WIP crafts does not provide the same hours of gameplay as a mod, hence they provide less utility and are just not worth anything at all really. Let’s be real, most people spend their time building here, not actually flying given the lack of map interest, I certainly know that’s the case for me and others. Why anyone would pay to have someone play the game for them? Not exactly my cup of tea. @jamesPLANESii
Yea took a quick look and it seems to have the same issues that I had with reload. Mainly that holding the button resets the reload, but we’ll see if maybe someone will come up with a breakthrough. @DarDragon
You could run a sum function via funky trees, so you sum the input of fire guns and then subtract it from a value, after that value gets below 0 or something the input would be zero (comparator) and so you wouldn’t be able to fire anymore.
I feel by keeping SP2 backwards compatible with SP1, you won’t be able to implement half of these features properly. If we keep clinging onto the past, we’ll never progress any further.
I’d love to take part in this, don’t know if I’ll have the time (even with the very generous deadline). I’ll try my best to see if I can whip something up.
Just reverse engineer it. Take apart sections you like and see how it’s made. My plane isn’t exactly perfect so you could definitely improve it. @Shootingstar07

+1Thanks! Glad you appreciate those shots, they probably took the most editing to stitch together
+1@ollielebananiaCFSP
2100 @Bird6369
+1Ahaha, damn was looking forward to seeing yours @2Papi2Chulo
+1Hey @MisterT, was wondering I would be able to use the blackout-redout text piece for one of my planes, with credit ofc
+1Check the connections, im pretty sure you’ve got something stuck (you can tell because moving the hinges doesn’t move the entire turret) @PlaneGuy01
+1Pretty sure those flaps are radiator flaps and not just maintenance, the pilot can control those in the cockpit @Sparky6004
+1That would be impossible unless i stripped parts from the cockpit, the body and wings alone are around 1000 parts @Llamma
+1Could just use funky trees to manually code a camera to track a selected target
+1it’s MisterT’s unreleased normandy map @Karmen
+1Ahh right ok
+1@MrShenanigans
Why are you panelling the fuselage, could easily use hollow fuselages and cut them out to save so many parts, and looks cleaner.
+1I believe so @WolfHunter9111
+1If I have time and the inspiration, I may come back to this build
+1@YuryVendiktov @Blaze77gunYT

+1Never, it’s simply far too big to ever make mobile friendly. @Saddam

+1Sure @Mrfoxus
+1Press AG1 and the select the Missiles from the fire weapons tab. @Mehmetpro2344

+1No unfortunately, however this was built on a mobile device.
+1@NothingToSeeHereGoodDay
Ahaha, hopefully this one stays under 1500. At the current state it’s got about 300ish parts so could be tight. @KangaKangaTheRedNosedRoo
+1Damn, looking forward to using some of these shots
+1Thanks man, glad you like it
+1@SteelwingAerospace
I barely post, but that doesn’t necessarily mean I don’t put in effort. That’s not a good assumption to make. @ChrisETH
+1Thanks for the spotlight! @Marine

Yeah I made it 3 years ago on mobile when Fine Tuner and all that was very new to mobile, so yeah there's some inaccuracies. @BlackThuNDR
+1Ahaha I guess it has been a couple months since I’ve posted anything. I’m hoping I can get this one out soon, no promises tho @Alta2809

+1Also, seeing Sm10684’s perspective now I wouldn’t go so far to call him a thief, maybe you two should talk it out somewhere. @Sinacraft
+1The variables thing sounds very much like SR2’s vizzy, which unfortunately they said probably wouldn’t be coming to SP.

That section is tricky, but you could possibly make it better if you panelled it differently. @Shootingstar07
