@YarisSedan deadpan: deliberately impassive and/or expressionless. Deadpan can be sarcastic, for example.
There’s no way that excerpt wasn’t written at least remotely to point out the humour of the situation. Adding detail in parentheses after the relevant sentence isn’t very typical for Wikipedia, but is arguably still “scholarly” in tone enough to be on it.
Lethal as in, like, really funny. The kind of thing that makes you laugh until you can’t breathe (a bit of an exaggeration, but this is the internet so whatever).
Wikipedia can’t have normal jokes in articles, so whatever humour is occasionally written in generally needs to be deadpan, working especially well since you don’t expect to find a joke on that site.
@Mosquitowithagun Wait what!?
Blast this lack of booster seat!
Maybe if I rock I can change the plane's heading!?
... I thought we were over the pacific?
(*Maybe)
That is not something you can just do on a whim, unless you are incredibly gifted or have a lot of free time and patience. Personally, I could never, as I cannot follow written instructions well enough, nor work stuff out logically.
@overlord5453 So let me see if I'm getting this right:
Every cockpit part on an aircraft measures its own position/velocity/etc.
Each of these, for each part, can be assigned a corresponding control output.
FT can be used to make the cockpit try point at(?) the selected target, or point where the velocity of both dictates they'd meet.
The outputs can be used to control specially assigned control surfaces to fly the missile.
Did I get that right? Keep in mind my FT experience is literally zero beyond stealing ammo count screens out of the new stock craft.
To be clear, I am Grain. Same person as behind Graingy. I just checked my personal account.
I have a tendency to converse across the two.
Anyways, how do secondary cockpits fit in? And how do you plan to keep the bomb working once disconnected?
