DEVELOPMENT

RRS Raphael is the second ship of Demon-class built by R&R Heavy Industry / RRHI, named after the Demon herself, Raphael. RRS Raphael is a aircraft carrier design to enhance air defence of RRHI's fleet, 'Vanguard Of The Waves'.

This aircraft carrier will operate helicopters, VTOL fighters and drones. RRS Raphael will only be a support and defense asset for the fleet while its offensive functions are still limited.

For propulsion system, Demon class has three nuclear reactors to move the ship and provide a large electricity supply.

M-WAR II

The emergence of reformist anti-ship weapons launched from air platforms has attracted the attention of RRHI's leader. Many proposals to overcome this problem include increasing anti-aircraft weapons at the expense of anti-ship weapons or increasing jamming systems at the expense of ship power.

Meanwhile, another solution is being considered, that solution is to building an aircraft carrier. Currently, RRHI has two unfinished warship hulls that are stalled in their drydock. Instead of completing them and making them into Battleship like the RRS Rachael, these hulls will be converted into aircraft carriers.

The aircraft carrier is planned to be equipped with VTOL aircraft that will intercept enemy aircraft before they attack the fleet. This aircraft carrier will also be equipped with helicopters that will be used for search and rescue operations. Drones are also operated on a limited basis as the ship's main offensive power.

After the convertion, Demon-class immediately joined with 'Vanguard Of The Waves' with four new Gensokyo-class fresh from drydock. Now there are fifteen ships on the fleet, one Demon-class battleship RRS Rachael, RRS Raphael, RRS Rachel and ten Gensokyo-class Destroyer RRS Hakurei, RRS Hakugyokurou, RRS Netherworld, RRS Eientei, RRS Scarlet Devil, RRS Bhava-agra, RRS Dream World, RRS Forest of Magic, RRS Garden of Sun, RRS Higan, RRS Kourindou and RRS Youkai Mountain.
