This is what I am making for the Cold War challenge
Procházka-Dvořák Provo-12 “Wenceslas” — Quick Summary
Full name: Procházka-Dvořák Provo-1W “Wenceslas” High-Speed Fighter
Role: First-generation Cold-War style high-speed fighter / light fighter-bomber — interceptor with secondary ground-attack capability.
Performance: Near-supersonic top speed, excellent climb, medium maneuverability (designed to be more nimble than a MiG-15 or F-86 in tight turns, but not a late-generation dogfighter).
Cockpit & ergonomics: Very cramped, forward-only visibility (no side view) with a split two-piece canopy and central pole; pilots describe it as a cozy, calming “hug” despite limited sightlines.
Armament:
2 × Štěkač 40 mm cannons (alternating fire: 0.6 s and 0.5 s per shot → ~1.82 shells/sec combined; audible firing rhythm “bum-bum bumbum…”)
1 × Hlasatel 20 mm cannon (rapid-fire follow-up weapon)
2 × Boomu bombs (80 cm) for light bombing
6 rocket pods (3 per wing) — each pod holds 14 Provo-Boomu-3 rockets for ground attack
Ammo & feed: Spiral magazine feed runs fore-aft under the fuselage skin. Recommended/lore capacities: ~ 200 × 40 mm rounds (shared between barrels) and ~ ∞ × 20 mm rounds, loaded via a Winchester-style side panel.
Electronics & radios: Built-in multi-channel radio:
100.0–100.9 MHz — assigned family comms (private channel)
107.1 MHz — Czech Radio Classics (music)
108.2 MHz — Wartime Radio Alerts (military)
200.0 MHz — Civilian TV audio (rarely used by fighter pilots)
Strengths: Devastating per-hit firepower from 40 mm shells, near-supersonic speed, excellent climb, top-quality build and reliability, strong pilot morale from cozy cockpit and radios.
Weaknesses: Extremely limited situational awareness (forward-only view, split canopy); low sustained ROF compared to smaller autocannons; requires precise aim and tactics (short bursts) to be most effective.
Tactics: Use speed and surprise — one clean 40 mm hit will decide most fights. Work with wingmen or radar to cover blind sectors and avoid prolonged turning fights where visibility is critical.
@Mitterbin i also made a bomber for this challenge but idk how to make it a successor
