@BagelPlane most of the time it is due to too much drag and too much engine power most builds need only a max of 2-3k drag points unless its a cargo plane in which that can go to 5-10k. Then I adjust engine power accordingly. If its a replica, I always calculate proper engine power by dividing RL engine power by the stock engine power to get the power multiplier. After that, I adjust drag points to get the most realistic acceleration and top speed
btw i like your plane construction a lot! The engine power is kind of high though I understand its basically an upgraded A-10 but it shouldn't be accelerating like a fighter jet.

Has a built-in sniper pod which is twice as accurate as the LITENING pod, plus its faster, lighter, more maneuverable, hard to get locked on by SAMs in the area, and its easier to deploy weapons. The F-35 actually has the A-10 beat. BTW using the gun is extremely dangerous in combat scenarios with adequate defenses, since you have to get within 3 miles to fire it, which is plenty of range for a Shilka, ZU-23, MANPAD, or other SAM to smack you out of the sky while you're trying for a strafe. And actually the F-35 was made with Air to Ground Employment in mind. Another point is even though it has 1/2 the weapon capacity, the F-35 can go three times as fast (no this is not an exaggeration) as the A-10 which means it can resupply at a base and even end up dumping more weapons on target depending on the base distance. I would do some research if I were you on the F-35, it's easy for everyone to trash it because it has bugs, but its the most capable airframe of all time, period.
Good job on this! There are some general shape issues that could be worked out, the amraams seem a but large, and it’s turn and acceleration specs are too high but you really took your time on this and it looks really nice and flies okay.Tip: use the “name” function in XML to name your weapons
also, make the explosion scalar smaller for more realistic damage. You have to basically eyeball the maneuverability of the missile and proximity detonation can be anywhere from 0-7m

Wow! Well Done! You can try out the new smooth fuselage thing for the paneling on the cockpit btw. It would look much better.

so most planes that would be in category 1 like the F-18 or F-16 can go supersonic at low altitude so you might want to fix that
