It can also be done on iOS by placing a part on a resizeable fuselage piece, then increasing the size of the fuse to "bury" the first part. But nudging is way easier.
@LotusEngineering, true, it has supercruise ability but it also has afterburners. Supercruise puts the jet just over Mach (in fact a clean F-16 with min fuel also "supercruises") without afterburners, but afterburners still push the jet out to its top speed and the thrust augmentation is still essential to pushing it around turns when it's dog fighting.
How are you making the fuselage so round? I.e., how many sections are you using to form the entire circular shape of the fuse. 2. How many parts are you up to?
@MechWARRIOR57 true, that might have something to do with it. However, I will frequently use the search function to find airplanes that posted months or a year or more ago, so it's possible some don't discover the airplanes until much later. For example, if I want to find an F-104, sometimes I find ones from quite awhile ago that I've never seen before. Some aren't great, but others are very, very good. Just would hate to miss out on some undiscovered treasure.
The part only mirror shows a single wing with an arrow (I think). The button will mirror to the opposite side the selected/highlighted part and is not "side specific". The full side mirror button shows the outline of half an aircraft with an arrow indicating which side you wish to mirror. There are two of these buttons, one to mirror the left side of the aircraft to the right and the other to mirror the right side of the aircraft to the left.
To be more specific, the right slider is usually the trim, which can be set in the settings submenu for the vertical stabilizer/tailplane. The left slider can be VTOL if using the VTOL engine or can be easily set to control almost any moving part the builder puts on that particular build. Again, most of the VTOL slider functions can be adjusted or set depending on how the builder wants to set up his plane or vehicle.
The difficulty with a P-47 here (as well as an F6F) is that the engine cowling isn't round, it's an oval with an air scoop at the bottom. Tough to accurately replicate; not impossible, but tough to get right...
OK, don't shoot me if you've already heard this: 1. Look up an airplane on the internet (now that you have it), something simple like, say, a Cessna 172. A "3-view" would be best. Then, try and build a simple replica. You'll figure out pretty quick what works and what doesn't. 2. Disassemble other users' planes, you'll also learn a lot from doing that.
You're right, this is pretty cool. It could be a number of things, release time/day (looks like you posted it on a Tuesday), or the fact it's a fictional build (very cool, but replicas seem to do better) or because it's grey. I personally really like grey airplanes because that's how the USAF paints most of its fleet....buuuuut....brightly colored airplanes get far more attention.
I really like it, some unique features here, so here's an upvote and an encouragement!
I have to admit, I upvote airplanes, hardly ever cars/ships/boats/rockets/weird figures/weapons/Minecraft items/imaginary animals/abstract art, etc. However, this one is so well done, it's impossible to ignore! I love the bright red paint and chrome grille and bumpers!
@MemeKingIndustriesAndMegaCorporation, you mean enter a new line via a return? Hitting the return doesn't work for me, which key do I hit to enter a new line?
Search "Parts" tags, you'll find a few sets of parts with collision turned off. There's actually a set that's titled something along the lines of "Every Part with Collision Turned Off".
So, have to ask: How do you get the "wall" sections to smoothly merge into the "roof" sections of the fuse to get an internal space? Whenever I try to build an internal cargo bay, I only get chunky, unsightly seams around the outside of the fuselage...
Ok, completely unrealistic, but it's a cool and unique idea that looks...well, cool and unique! Nice job!
@Stampede also, how about a good F-100 Super Sabre in your build style, I think it might be great. Also, you never posted your B-24...
@Stampede good, glad you approve. What's Axolotls? 20 ideas...hmmm....how about the Wendell Williams 44 (Golden Age of Air Racing airplane) to start?
Wow, this build makes it really apparent just how much difference one part, the resizable fuselage, made to SP!

I like it, nice and clean!
The variable incidence wing is pretty cool...
@AdrianFlyingAce yes it is

Noice! You should make this into an F-4 or F-5 recce version, the blue is just about right.
Cool, that's a lot of work, 12 sections to form the circumference. Can't wait to see the end result!

Gotta love the old Stringbag! Sink the Bismark!!!
Also, if you hover your cursor over the buttons in the submenu, an information box will pop up showing what that button does.

This is very good!
History...nice!
Oooohhhh...Grandma...what have you done?!?!?
Looks like a T-38/F-4/F-20. Even managed to give it a little area ruling in the fuselage...
I like the hull detail...
Hey, not too many parts, nice job!

Wow, are those functional fowler flaps?! I just wish they worked in the simulation as they work in real life...
Noice!!!
Nice, very accurate shape, you even got the horizontal stab right!

@Sunnyskies you should check out this one...
Good historic subject.
This is what happens when a T-2 Buckeye and a T-33 Shooting Star have a baby...
Wow, love the Fitter!
I agree, most of mine are grey as well, I feel your pain. I wish the background better highlighted grey aircraft...
Aaaahhhh...Pan Am. I remember sitting on a Pan Am 707 as a kid for hours one night at JFK due to a brake problem.

Simple, clean and the lines are very close to being spot on, nice!
Hey, don't worry about it. Interact with me, I'll respond.
@MemeKingIndustriesAndMegaCorporation ok, I'll try it again on a few test posts, plus the Dashes w/spaces hint to see if it works.

I can't believe this one didn't get a single upvote until now?
Very nice, Mr. Tuna!
Very similar to an An-22.
Very nice, Spotlighted!

Hmmm....that seems to be a Malaysian flag on the tail, not the good 'ol Stars and Stripes!
