How did you import the spacecraft? I was interested in building something similar with my last map with the giant carriers. Did you just use the C# script that controls the other units for behaviour? Thanks in advance!
@cobalT The version of Unity I have to build the Android files is older and severely limited. The new version I build PC files with doesn't have all of the stuff @HellFireKoder is referring to.
So mostly is was a Gift for the Androidians since I couldn't share my other maps
(and are likely too large anyway).
Since the Androidians seems so tickled to have a map for only them, I just left it!
@Patrick20206 I could, but I am able to make far more interesting maps for PC; and the Androidians can't really run anything super-huge even if I ported my larger maps.
@flyingsteve88
It's never too early or late to learn! It's interesting when you look at the inner mechanics of the cell, how the arrangement gives implications of where things came from.
For example, proteins are very nitrogen rich; maybe they only were created by the cell to conserve the phosphorus required for DNA/RNA/Ribosomes; and that on a planet of ~78% Nitrogen there would be a great selective pressure to use abundant material; albeit "clunkier" at making molecular machines (protein).
Kind of like making a robot out of Lego Blocks that builds bigger robots out of Duplo blocks...
@ThatOnion Regrettably, I do not for this map! I don't have the additional files needed (or the space at the moment!), but I could put up the Unity project file for anyone interested!
@jamesPLANESii I do! That was my inspiration! In my next update I may make White Island larger and able to get to. (Right now it is in the middle of the spire field, which are certainly dramatic embellishments!)
@Smoker I suppose that's (51mb) more on the medium order of things. I am working on a smaller one as well still; but I'm not sure how to limbo under 7mb! What map mods have worked for you? Are the flat test maps small enough?
@BirdOfSteel Thanks for the input; I evidently need a press team! The only trouble is I enjoy manipulating land masses through Unity much more than advertising the map!
-If you guys take some sweet screen shots, feel free to send them on!
@DuckMintnewprofile The very center of the spire field is White Is NZ. A highly embellished Aogashima, Japan is the island next to it. A geographic anomaly!
@WNP78 Oh, yes. Prior to that building was a very slow endeavor! The android builds take longer than the PC for some reason, and I don't have the necessary files to build android in 5.3.6. I am working on some more PC stuff that should be up soon.
@BirdOfSteel Oh, I don't worry about the screenshots too much; this was mostly a quick doodle on an old idea. I figure people will take it for a spin, or not, so I figured screenshots are sorta moot apart from features of interest. (Of which there is not much yet!) Thank you for your input!
Ahhh, I tried to do something similar with drones and an aircraft. I had to resort to setting different sensitivity levels; so the carrier would steer slow and the drone fast.
Way cool! In my android building, I can't, unfortunately get objects to load, since I am using an older version; and am unable to build android with the more modern Unity.
@GenrichTitov @Tully2001 I'd sure love to make some versions of my more elaborate maps for android, but the build time and the space to store the android build tools simply take up too much time and space! Great work to all da modders! If anyone wants the native unity file from one of my non-android builds to build for android, just let me know. Peace, and thanks!
@Multidimensional Hey gang, my only caveat is the version of unity that works great for building maps in Android will not display objects. I haven't given up hope though, and I'll keep you posted!
I would love a way to disambiguate between aircraft. For example, flight controls aren't key-bindable or able to use activation groups. I would like to have different groups for different vehicles.
(E.g. Say I want to launch a drone off of an aircraft, and then use the land vehicle inside the drone; and be able to only control a vehicle at a time.)
Just a suggestion, I don't even know if such a thing is possible!
Just type terrain.party into your location/address bar, the maps need to be converted with IrfanView or similar to make a .raw; but you can grab heightmap data from most anywhere... @BirdOfSteel
FYI: The initial explore airport has no colliders.

@flyingsteve88 Right on! Watch out, curiosity can be addictive!
Wonderful Map!

C'est la vie!

@HellFireKoder That was actually a very succinct way to put it!

Glad you enjoyed it!
@DunDooey De Nada! ;D
@AaltonenIndustries Mwhahaha! (Also easier to land on!)
Great build!
Ever checked out the RNA World Hypothesis? It's rather well supported!
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RNA_world
@MechWARRIOR57 :) (I've nicknamed the medium the USS Little Giant, and the larger the USS Monolith!)
Wonderful Labour of Love! Here's another! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x8vpJyXxk3g
@ThatOnion Lol, me either until I started playing with it for SP! So, No problemo! :D
@saturn28 Danke for de danke! :)
@ThatOnion Regrettably, I do not for this map! I don't have the additional files needed (or the space at the moment!), but I could put up the Unity project file for anyone interested!
@Visify Thank you! It's been a bit of trial and error!

@Theflyingblob Danke!
@Destroyerz117 I'm not sure what you are asking... Are you asking to have the trees interact kinetically?
Roger that, thanks for the input! @Smoker
@NativeChief1492 I'm working on it as we speak, err..., type...
@BirdOfSteel Cuz, it's not so fancy, and I should be cranking out some fresh maps for PC today or tomorrow.
@Smoker I suppose that's (51mb) more on the medium order of things. I am working on a smaller one as well still; but I'm not sure how to limbo under 7mb! What map mods have worked for you? Are the flat test maps small enough?

@MemeKingIndustriesAndMegaCorporation Heya, I think that it is ~52MB.
@DuckMintnewprofile The very center of the spire field is White Is NZ. A highly embellished Aogashima, Japan is the island next to it. A geographic anomaly!

@GenrichTitov Once you get into trees and such it quickly becomes too big for android! (Plus I cannot make objects with these builds)-- :'(
@GenrichTitov I feel you there!
@GenrichTitov If you put up a heightmap .raw file, and send me a link I can make a rough facimile... :)
Ahhh, I tried to do something similar with drones and an aircraft. I had to resort to setting different sensitivity levels; so the carrier would steer slow and the drone fast.
@EagleFlyer @Smasher @GenrichTitov I can't add objects, but let me know any terrain features you would like implemented!
Heya, how did you group your controls for the separate vehicles?
@GenrichTitov Hey, Thanks! Enjoy the build!
@Tully2001 Yeah, I have it setup for Unity 5.1, but I can't use 5.3 with android... So all of these are regaled to simple maps, without objects!
Way cool! In my android building, I can't, unfortunately get objects to load, since I am using an older version; and am unable to build android with the more modern Unity.

@Smoker I'm working on a little map, lets see if it makes it to the presses!
@Amy11 Maybe, but I wouldn't know where to start!

@Justakidwithadream Right on, go for it!

@BirdOfSteel You can also pull terrain data from terrain.party as well!

@cobalT Did you also land on the dark island? That's a little extra tricky... Bonus points if you can stay on the runway!
