    @duanyu7373
    No the body curve was fine for me. Subtle, but it's a square car in most sense.
    Dodge Stinger? Or Swinger?
    Looks like a Dodge in every sense.
    That decorative inferno is very cool. Idea's nice too.

  • Surfin' Bird 5.2 years ago

    @CeeToTheZee
    "This bird may look like she's lost a few chromosomes"
    Nice attempt.
    The idea here probably is the fact that it is not realistic-ness that would make it a good ... person, but a person that ...
    You did fine.

  • E-100 Reconnaissance vehicle 5.2 years ago

    @701wwj666
    The plan closest to what you had built is a Panzer with a Leopard turret (because the gun won't stick out of the hull, so in dense jungle it won't get tangled)

  • Realistic Walkers: Biomechanics in SimplePlanes 5.2 years ago

    @SnoWFLakE0s
    Let's say that I had a broken browser.
    Why care? I'm now watching it on my laptop anyways.
    lol Desmos. I'm very ...
    Well, very glad that you guys almost made it work in SimplePlanes.

  • Realistic Walkers: Biomechanics in SimplePlanes 5.2 years ago

    @SnoWFLakE0s I can't watch Ytube on my iPad, but I believe it would be awesome.

  • huwahuweyha F1b 5.2 years ago

    @scratch
    Maybe let's stop building these crazy things and focus on something that's somewhat more realistic.
    I had a metallic model of Mitsubishi Pajero sitting on my table top. Should do something about it ...

  • huwahuweyha F1b 5.2 years ago

    @scratch
    lol
    Does this have more downforce? I'm curious.
    OK it DID have enough downforce but I'm rather ...
    You are trying to have suspension on wheels which is a good intention
    But suspensions that are built into the wheel are generally horrible, especially on speedy builds.
    I was expecting all wheel turning, but I guess it's OK too.
    Did the gold prix in 28 seconds

    Tried to "improve" it with 4-wheel turning and connections of wheels using wings, but end up in the same 28 seconds.
    Did mine run smoother? I don't know.

  • EQUATION! 5.2 years ago

    @scratch
    check this out

  • foch 5.2 years ago

    @701wwj666
    Don't worry about it.

  • EQUATION! 5.2 years ago

    @scratch
    of course. This is lightning fast. Understeering and oversteering still kicks in, though

  • 200 cm Howitzer 5.2 years ago

    @SledDriver
    I liked the feeling of setting the cameras to "chase" camera and then watch the shells fly through
    clearly the big 250cm did not have the correct velocity or the camera.
    Damn that shot was so close ...
    Using this feel more like a doomsday device rather than a proper cannon, by the way. Feels good.
    WHAM! There you go, bridge!

  • The best suspension I’ve ever made! 5.2 years ago

    @Sm10684
    I am considering it, right now I'm using standard vertical shocks.
    You can ... figure out a way to link me to a private build. I'd like to test it out first.
    You can comment on any build I had done so far for safety reasons and I'll know.

  • vehicle 5.2 years ago

    @SnoWFLakE0s
    Fine. This is probably the literal worst build out.
    but check this out. No?

  • The best suspension I’ve ever made! 5.2 years ago

    @Sm10684
    You did take it to proving grounds for a spin.
    Interesting design, perhaps. Lots of things doesn't work the way reality does (and a lot of things don't work the way SimplePlanes does)
    Doesn't pack a lot of travel, so ehh. Still goes on to see how it would compare to a single-suspension swing arm, but good impressions.
    Why? You should upload the build (at least privately, because I had a coming vehicle project lying around)

  • How to strengthen connection rigidity/ strength ? 5.2 years ago

    @Sm10684
    For starters, pistons have perpendicular slip (against the direction they had) hence the wobbling around.
    I also did notice that the ... mechanism is a bit off.
    For double wishbone suspensions, I thought that the two links (the above and the lower) should have the same length, otherwise it won't ... it won't flex up and down as expected.
    See my Trophy Truck for suspension examples (observe front shocks)

  • GunnerySuite 5.2 years ago

    @SnoWFLakE0s
    Good gun breech. Good handles.
    I assume you took more time in those cranky numbers than the actual building, but they are very cool.
    And yes, I do return from playing to give upvote.

  • What's wrong? 5.2 years ago

    @TheMachinist
    How long? About ten days I guess.
    In reality, after about 2 days if there is no upvotes the build is largely wasted.

  • What's wrong? 5.2 years ago

    @CrashFighter05
    Sure, but why? Are they not tolling in enough profit from Simpleplanes and Simplerocket's? It wasn't there before, if you ask me.
    Nice vehicle on avatar, by the way.

  • Mark. IV Tank in WWI (REAL TRACK) 5.2 years ago

    @haidebiany
    yeah, the tracks themselves still can't take the weight. Still need the roadwheels.
    Some day, I'll get myself a CNC table to make my own stuff

  • Panzerkampf-wagon 5.2 years ago

    @Armyguy1534
    I'm curious why are there so many people upvoting this ...
    I mean, it wasn't even your tiger ...
    but it is very creative. No upvotes from me, sorry

  • Suspension-III 5.3 years ago

    despite how it looks the front wheel is NOT protruding outwards. They are the same as the rear wheel -- at x-axis 1.3500.

  • Accucraft "Dora" Steam loco 5.3 years ago

    @Baby
    I have this girl in the class that I go along with.
    and her name happened to be Dora and I did kind of miss her ...
    for non-modded version I still suggest the good old VTOL. Trust me better than infinite rotators.

  • Abandoned project 5.3 years ago

    it looked great! I mean it is simple, but what's wrong with that?

  • Unis Flat-12 791KP 5.3 years ago

    @Spikerya
    look at that.
    And FLAT? dude this is awesome.
    ahhh but you mod those engines ... bruh.
    Was looking for a flat non-modded. a little help?

  • 88mm Flak Cannon (WWII era) 5.3 years ago

    @Chancey21
    You need two things to hit a aircraft. A german gun, and a set of german optics!
    Nice modeling.
    Perhaps they used a different variant in their tan ... * cough * Pz. SFl. IVc ... * cough *

  • My Walking Grasshopper 5.3 years ago

    @zap210
    Infinite rotators do remind me of a thing ... called VTOL nozzle + infinite fuel ...
    Nice mechanism, but the shoes on the rear legs started to fell off pretty soon ...

  • AH-1Z Viper 5.3 years ago

    @shipster
    It was the 1st under helicopter alone.
    Hmm ... 2nd place is "traditional" dwarf jetpack.
    Well, it was a AH series. If you see one you should probably run away. Unless it's one of your ally.
    "AG3 to enable top speed"... I heard sounds of jet engines.
    Well, we are all victims of simpleplanes's garbage physics engine. Aren't we, Chinook? (the new helicopter parts enabled you to make a easy-to-fly heli easily, but the chinook remains very challenging to fly)

  • SantaNK 1-2 5.3 years ago

    @Minecraftpoweer
    I meant this stuff

  • Aircraft-on-a-string 5.3 years ago

    @RailfanEthan
    To actually do it with a winch causes too many trouble (and, how, there is no human hand to help when things stuck)
    By the way this actually took me a great deal of time. Was working with jet-powered centrifuge when I figured that things aren't right ...

  • Aircraft-on-a-string 5.3 years ago

    @Skyler717
    To actually use this just blow wind at it.
    I would say that it works best if the speed is around 50 mph, although it can go as low as 35mph.
    Definitely not surprising here. These stuff work completely different than what you would expect. Trust me.

  • Gyroturret 5.3 years ago

    @StavinairCaeruleum
    to "lock in place" simply increase the power of the ..
    vertically placed gyroscope.
    drifty? well it's a test rig. you should thank me that Inhad give you a chassis in the first place

  • 1000% larger planes 5.6 years ago

    I understand that while this is not a 3D modeling software, I hope that the 3D models it generated is slightly more pleasing than what it currently offers. This is … duh.

  • quad prop 5.7 years ago

    Decent.
    Make more customizations! You are off to a good start :)

  • Aircraft Q 5.7 years ago

    Don't thank me.
    For starters, this shows some decent experience with fuslage blocks
    FUSELAGE blocks. Plus it looks good.
    Try to nudge a gun into the air intake will probably be a good idea. :)

    wingspan is a bit too long for the length but sure it flies good.
    Since it's short the pitch response is a bit slow

  • Airbus A320 5.7 years ago

    lol
    yes, I admit that your plane bodies, after using fuselage blocks, look good.
    But don't you think your wings are a bit too thin?
    Use your common sense here, man.
    Build 1 continuous wing then hang engines down there using the pylons. That's how real world aircrafts have their engine hung.

  • Arado 234 blitz 5.7 years ago

    To be honest, this one operates (and looks) way cooler than all of your other builds.

  • Avro Lancaster 5.7 years ago

    @Bossman2
    is this to scale?
    Like, length and height and wingspan and stuff?
    I don't care too much about weight but that's a nice bonus ...

  • My first helicopter 5.7 years ago

    @Bossman2
    I tried a 4CH fixed wing( no ailerons, can't roll, lol) and my friend flew it into a basketball goal. (which, obviously, wrecked it)
    I had flown a 6-CH helicopter (1 main rotor) and I tried to flash the firmware and bricked it
    I had build successful large-frame quadcopter. (the smaller one use 9-inch propellers and the big one use like, 16-inch propellers)
    the large one have the 650 frame and the small one 500 frame.
    I wanted what's more like a 300 frame (with 7-inch 3 blade propellers) with most of the setup from my smaller quad
    I mean, carrying around such big objects aren't easy.
    The big one use 10 AH 6S, and the small one runs in 4 AH 3S (or 4S, configurable)
    Good luck with your drones too

  • My first helicopter 5.7 years ago

    And no, I have been flying real helicopters (RC helicopters). The controls in Skmpleplanes just made it sound way too easy.
    For most of the flights in my first trashy drone, it's either rough landing or crash-landing.
    But that drone cost like $10 anyway, so yeah.
    Second helicopter cost me $30. Did a reasonable tour around the classroom without dying
    And other irrelevant stuff

    Go have fun.

  • My first helicopter 5.7 years ago

    @Bossman2
    I have to say something about all of your helicopters.
    To say (in a rude way), these are made out of sticks.
    Look at the front view.
    Jundroo give the Gator 2 as a good example of what a helicopter should look like, more or less.
    It's good that you make flyavle machines on your own, but it's a little .... meh.
    Make it look fat! This one's skinny enough that it appear to be starving for months
    I believe the result will be slightly more pleasing

  • LEGO Technic Set 8068 5.7 years ago

    @MTBCrafter
    My German is horrible.
    Very nice, you actually made it
    1057 parts not the most efficient
    Built it's Lego, so yeah. I can understand that.

  • Can you fly without an engine? 5.7 years ago

    @Simpleplaner656
    @Plane66373637
    This thread is basically about alternative methods of driving planes forward.
    A few well-known examples is the piston engine, the air brake engine, and the gun engine.
    Less well-known are the infinite rotators and electric fans using gun engines.
    @Visify make quite a lot of decent piston engines. I make a few gun-engines and a few e-fans using gun engine.
    I maybe have 1 clockwork (rotator) plane.

  • Can you fly without an engine? 5.7 years ago

    @Plane66373637
    Sure. There are plenty of alternative propulsion methods. Speedbrake engine, uh ... infinite rotator engine ... gun engine ...

  • Screens (Read Description) 5.7 years ago

    @Natedog120705
    It's fine, because this is only a model for ... the emerging OLED technologies (where the screen are essentially LED itself)
    The classic LCD (liquid color display), however, is different.
    First, they have a gigantic slab of ... LED at the back to illuminate the entire screen evenly. Then you have the inteesting (and complicated) liquid assembly, that are composed of tiny cells that reflect light.
    Of course, the LCD is therefore heavier, but the smaller LED in the OLED also means that they have a shorter life span (by roughly half), but at around 20,000 hours they are still insanely long.
    Basically the best place to educate anyone will be wikipedia. Even though each page are written by 1000 people, they have the knowledge of 100 professors which means you get what you need (to understand things) most of the time. Including good pictures.

  • T28 PROT. 5.7 years ago

    @Monsterhunter
    This is good.
    Although, I might want to see builds that are less dependent on mods ...

    You play world of Tanks?

  • black shark 5.7 years ago

    @Monsterhunter
    This is really good.

  • seaplane v.32 5.7 years ago

    Looks good. Can have smaller gears.
    Generally, the rule of thumb is to have the shortest landing gear possible, so the plane will not be tipping anywhere when taxi (and also looks a bit nicer)

    and yes, a little bit too complicated.
    Good start, I guess. Try to have fun with the blocks first, then move onto the fuselage blocks.
    Like, try to make some aircraft you like (such as the cessna), then try to make them in fuselage blocks.
    Generally I will recommend new starters to go for a fixed wing first, but you can also go out and make a helicopter (learn the physics from gator 2, but don't copy it)

    I will give you something to start. It's not easy to control but hopefully you can get it somewhere
    Let me know when you made it (and please, upload it as unlisted so I can review it first)

  • Simple Plane 5.7 years ago

    @waveofthought
    Man this is created before there is even platform support on Simpleplanes
    Very good job. I believe that is the only "technology" it have to offer at the moment

  • SIMPLEplanes 5.7 years ago

    @Homersdonut
    I had to thank you for the shape you made.
    If I were to make this, it will be less accurate ...

  • Happy Year 3, SimplePlanes 5.7 years ago

    @LegoFreak
    Hmm it flew fine for me
    Pulled off the high-G turn with it. Didn't seem to have any trouble.
    Don't know what the others are talking about
