When you create a successor, there will always be a successor auto credit on top of the description. While it is an effective anti-plagriarism measure, it still had it shortcomings. Also, any successors with little or no sufficient modifications will be removed, since they’re akin to spam, being low quality monstrosities that are just plain annoying; and also could lower the site’s creativity with every other user creating very low quality posts that become annoying over time.
.
I like your argument that you could remove successor posts, but to encourage the important sharing culture of simpleplanes.com is to make limits on how you can remove successor posts. This is enshrined in the rules, where every player can make successor posts, as long as they make sufficient changes and include an auto credit. Also, everybody could use a part as long as the original creators are credited. If the culture says that you require permission to use something, then the creativity of the site worsens as said society implements a copyright-like policy which can sometimes become oppressive enough to drive new users out of the site. That’s why, be receptive to criticism, don’t be overprotective to yet he stuff you made. Sometimes derivatives of your stuff become so wonderful that you should happy and proud of.
You can do that on any server, but on 3 conditions:
Make sure you’re net near any players nor try to ruin any player’s experience. We just want to play for fun and not get annoyed.
Make sure you’re not using any high part count planes; you’re gonna kick every player out and it causes problems either.
Make sure that when you recruit other players, don’t spam the chat, don’t force the players into submission. We don’t like to be mandatorily conscripted into your army and that would ruin our fun, so give us a good time to choose and play together. We can choose to be on one team but also as either spectators or outside of the wargames you’re playing.
Failure to meet any above conditions may result in the disruption of MP experience and other annoyances to the victimized players.
These tanks do not use cannons and other weapons but barrels fitted with bullets attached to detachers. I am sure you have a reloading mechanism that you wish to keep a secret. :)
Have you added the grips inside the balls?
.
Pedals don’t work yet, so the control bases on the pedals may not work as well, unless you put a hidden grip inside the pedals, so the driver can move the pedals with it’s hands (which would have been a ridiculous and inefficient way to drive a car).
@AWESOMENESS360, when an expression does not fit within their ideals, people will press their ideology to eliminate such an expression. This is what politics usually does and a rule has been made to prevent such arguments from going out of control and destroying the site. simpleplanes.com is quite big, so there will be some drama going on. Most drama is usually not that severe, so you won’t see drama posts the whole time.
@Pyrrha, what if you are inactive and a flame war starts fanning and begins to spread all over? If it weren’t you who removed it, a moderator would, because they are also here to keep the drama down and keep the site stable.
@jamesPLANESii, are you really going to start a spam competition here?
.
I have seen this in some forums. It’s when quotes become so piled up to the point that it becomes a bit spammy, hard to read, and therefore annoying. I’d like to take a laugh at what competition this comment section is becoming...
Remember the airbrake-laden plane that got too many upvotes and caused a whole ton of drama?
.
This means that upvotes =/= quality. The airbrake-laden plane’s popularity rose because some user decided to post a forum post telling people to upvote the plane, and the ensuing drama surrounding it. This is popularity by drama and hopping on the bandwagon. Other factors include it’s usability (e.g. the plane it’s the most upvotes), flexibility, et cetera. The beaver boat is a cute boat from the us navy and is well known, hence the more upvotes. Being featured also gives the plane upvotes, since it makes the plane well-known.
The stock jackhammer can function as artillery. You want to know why people don’t make artillery as often? Because it is just not fun to make artillery, being regarded as secondary vehicles, rather than more fun first line vehicles.
The Center of mass must be behind the Center of lift. This is already obvious in the game tutorial. You could definitely try to move the wings or add a canard, so the center of lift will move further to and then after the center of mass! :)
@Dragorans, you can put it into a private discord server of yours. You can copy the image url in your discord, paste it into the brackets, yes the () at the back of the []. As for the [], it should contain at least one word.
@Niyyo, the MiG-21 had gun pods underneath the fuselage, but are flush to the fuselage instead of being in large, distinctive pods. They also have to have space for ammunition, which is why they have small-caliber guns in big pods to provide space for such.
.
Taking a break from realism, eh? Why not make the wackiest of the wackiest?
MrShenanigans is right. Platinum users take a lot of time, even years for their high-quality uploads to be made. You can simplify the planes to just mere basic shapes to lower your time consumption, of course the plane needs to be able to fly. :)
.
And don’t put schedules, it’s not going to make anything faster; you’re just slowing down because you have a great amount of stress to meet the deadline and it only seems to delay the upload further. I’ll take credit to ZWLenning for this.
The interior section appears like if a fuselage cutting operation has been botched. You can disconnect, modify the fuselage cut, then reconnect again to avoid this issue.
.
No offense, but the cannons’ unorthodox position means they could not load themselves?
XML modding and likely funky trees have been outlawed before. The only category where these are not prohibited are in the Mod category. The tournaments are becoming more redundant because nobody’s gonna participate anymore.
@Mage2IsTriggered, my comment is also kind of a joke though. Imagine if one self proclaimed “scientist” suddenly declared an aerodynamically stable plane “unstable for blah blah blah etc.”?
@ShawnJohn20, I do not play multiplayer anymore. The plane can be used in MP, but the part count may have been too high for the server to handle. The optimum part count, according to one user is about 150 parts or lower.
@derlurje, ah. I think I am going to temporarily retract my claims. I don’t think it is funny though, but it gave people opportunities to make a lot of jokes.
.
By the way, why not make a frog build? You know the jumping boys right?
Is that a T-rex-zilla? Hmmm, your fascination with dinosaurs never ends...

@pedro16797, are successors allowed in this challenge?
.
Thanks.
@JohnnyBoythePilot, and it worked!
.
Perhaps you should try to make it into the vr challenge, no?
How about the 3 claws trigger skin.
.
Nice shield by the way.
@F104Deathtrap, that’s so fast. But thank you.
These tanks do not use cannons and other weapons but barrels fitted with bullets attached to detachers. I am sure you have a reloading mechanism that you wish to keep a secret. :)
@PapaKernels, no.
@Tookan, with what?
.
PS: I think I mentioned myself.
@Tookan, but the challenge likely does not allow mods like the tracks mod, so...
And oh, when SPVR gets released, buy it now, unless you won the competition.
Have you added the grips inside the balls?

The opposite of that very long scrolling practice; the easiest forum post to navigate...
I cannot actually find the origins of this hoax, but nice!
U.S. Airforce; it’s simpler said than done. No need to draw the complex Everett’s air fuel logo.

@Tookan, The seats come with built-in cameras! Use them to give your craft an amount of realism in VR.
It should be added to SimplePlanes because it sounds so much like official SimplePlanes music! Andy Gary, you must see this!
U gonna make it VR friendly?
@Totallynotakamikazepilot, make the most basic planes, or maybe make cars; they’re easier to make than planes.
Use a designation, it’s easy.
@bruhmoment99, correct.
It’s probably a deliberate and easy way to increase performance, since more polygons mean decreased performance.
And a hypercomputer XXL Supernova.

@rexzion, this may not be a bug. It may have been deliberate after all. simplerockets.com always has these patterns, since inception.
Andy Gary would absolutely love this glorious island! :)
The Center of mass must be behind the Center of lift. This is already obvious in the game tutorial. You could definitely try to move the wings or add a canard, so the center of lift will move further to and then after the center of mass! :)
Likely pirated. Next time, please buy the official version and not the Apk. Thanks!

Barfokker
.
Nice plane though.
@CSP27, ingenious! That might make the plane brakeable by VR too! But would that give the pilot an even slower response time?
Pretty decent for a plane, now how does the pilot brake? Yaw pedals can be tilted forward to brake the plane. This one’s pedals does not seem to...

@derlurje, try to make the most basic shapes. You can also make a Minecraft-style frog!
@VolcanicAsh, make it a 25 part only competition then!
When I grow up, I might leave the site. By the way, the account’s temporary.
@derlurje, ah. I think I am going to temporarily retract my claims. I don’t think it is funny though, but it gave people opportunities to make a lot of jokes.

Then we will see until the mod gives a verdict on this issue.
The music and the effects makes the video kind of look like a Michael Bay Transformers clip.
But, if you feel this post is related to SimplePlanes in any way, tell me.
