First things first, Funky Trees need to be outlawed in tournaments. I don't have any experience coding and I cant even find out the input for pitch down lol. I don't believe this should be too hard because some parts already recognize the fact that it has a funky input. But I'm no coder
This isn't fair for obvious reasons.
All mods in general (besides fine tuner) should go too because I could still edit things like traction past 150%
I think tournaments should be completely vanilla because it is more challenging and gives us opportunities to use other parts that aren't usually used like spheres and half spheres. to help us brake because we can't edit BrakeTorque.
Car class shouldn't even have wings tbh. because a lot of the winners aren't even cars. just abominations with floating wheels. I entered a Lancia Stratos into the challenge which looks like a car and has 4 wheels. Honestly cars in this class shouldn't have more than 6 wheels.
I'd love to see A tournament back into simpleplanes I really loved building them and testing them and competing with people all across the site. The twitch streams were exciting too.

While FT most definitely is a skill, it doesn't detract from the fact that dynamic control capabilities with it are far beyond any human control. It would be possible to program an entire flight regime that effectively warps between checkpoints.
Perhaps a separate "TAS" category might be more sensible.

I also think FT is too high a barrier to entry to allow fair and interesting results. A bit like having drugs in the Olympics, it’s technically more advanced but it ruins the spirit of the competition.
FT requires even some trigonometry and calculus to understand

And you can make whatever it is as long as it fits the criteria, thats part of the fun. I’m not gonna make some super detailed and realistic replica only to have it be the slowest thing there. The only goal is to be fast, not to be realistic at all. Also FT is completely vanilla you don’t need to download anything to use it.

XML modding and likely funky trees have been outlawed before. The only category where these are not prohibited are in the Mod category. The tournaments are becoming more redundant because nobody’s gonna participate anymore.
