@Tully2001 We totally dropped the ball on April Fool's. We all completely forgot about it until it was too late. Also made it harder that April Fool's was on a weekend this year.
@FoxTech We're just pulling your leg. We know this is a copy, Philip was just testing the upload functionality after the outage we had this morning. Once again, great work @MrMecha!
@Alienbeef0421 That's not the default scale for VTOL nozzles. Default scale for all stock parts is 1,1,1 (which is the same as not having a scale= tag in the XML).
@Awesomeplanes If an extra copy is loaded on undo that means the game hit an error and failed to correctly undo. Bad state to be in, you should try and make frequent saves, that way if you hit this issue you can restore you build without losing too much time and effort. I'm sorry for the inconvenience.
It looks like the game is getting some exceptions and it's being left in a strange state. When you quit the game, restart your device and come back in, this is how it looks?
What page(s) did you notice the wrong user name? Did you continue to see it after going to another page? If it happens again, please copy the exact URL you are at and put it in a comment here.
Because the airplane is linked with the tournament table and potentially in several tournament matches so it was a pain to deal with the delete case. It was easier to just prevent it from happening.
@lordverminaard Sorry, I obviously did not read your post thoroughly. I apologize. Unfortunately, I'm not sure what would cause that. I would guess it's a rogue input, but it sounds like you've already ruled that out.
You can try temporarily moving your configuration files out of the way to force the game back to defaults. You need to be careful when doing this to work around Steam's cloud sync, but you can follow the instructions here under the "The game crashes when going into the designer or going into flight" section.
And @Alienbeef0421's plane, the Golden Moon, can complete the Oceanview course in a mind blowing 36 seconds. Unfortunately it did crash, so it's out of the tournament, but very impressive build.
Very interesting specimen. It's hard to explain what's going on here, but basically it's happening because we are bending the rules of physics a bit to make things more stable in SimplePlanes. It turns out that this design exploits that algorithm and causes the detacher at the top to have an extremely high inertia tensor and more or less turns it into a super powerful gyroscope.
It's hard to say what the issue is without being able to see your log files, which are much harder to access on iOS than any other device. I suspect a part in the airplane gets into a state where it can't properly save itself and then when you load the loading process fails and all parts after that are not loaded. Do you notice this happening after working with a specific kind of part? Fuselage parts, fuselage inlets, or fuselage nose cones would be my guess for a part that could become error prone. Let me know if you find any patterns.
I agree, they shouldn't be allowed anymore. It was fun but they won't be allowed in future glider tournaments. It will be a pain to moderate that though.
@Baldovino @AudioDud3 Wow, I did it again! Good thing I'm just a programmer and don't really need a strong attention to detail...... Thanks for letting me know, it's been fixed. ;)
I would recommend side-loading Google Chrome. Here are instructions on how to side-load.

@FoxTech I've investigated the issue and found that this is an original design and not a copy.

Just ran another validation check. No news is good news.

I'm looking into this now. Thanks for letting us know.

@emprit @Vynel @Bagas @Rosse @Alienbeef0421 @Baldovino you are also using massScale and/or partScale on some of your parts.
@TheOwlAce you don't have a plane submitted..... O.o
@CALVIN232 You have a part that is using the massScale XML attribute and set it to 0.
@LatteCoffee55 Let me know if you see it again.
@KDS You can use Fine Tuner as long as you are only changing position and rotation. Just don't use it to change the part scale.
@MAHADI yes
@Flightsonic Can you elaborate on that a little more?
I just ran a validation check. No notifications means your plane is good to go for this tournament. No news is good news.

@MAHADI If you are just changing their shape, then you are probably okay (as long as you're not using part scale).
@KDS Changing part scale is prohibited in tournaments.
@AUGUSTO1111 Lo siento. No hablo español.

@EliteIndustries1 This is true, I was testing it out, but this build is worthy of many spotlights.
Trying to fix the spotlight bug that so many love to exploit.

Try forcing SP to run in D3D9 and see if that helps. Instructions here.
What browser are you using? If you haven't tried, try using Google Chrome. Sorry about the bugs.
edit: sorry, I obviously didn't read your post thoroughly.

Also, @Baldovino's flying saucer design is pretty amazing.
Very cool design!
You beat me in the tournament. Congrats ;)
It's already off to a great start with @Tully2001's Racing Potato design.
Try disabling music and video replay in the main menu. Also try restarting your device.
Ran a validation check just now and notified the violators. The only way your craft will fail validation is if you have weapons.

@OtterOfToast @Geekpride Wow, quite a lot of ASCII on this post. I think you two should block each other and move on.
@WalrusAircraft Thanks. It's been fixed.
@Awesomeplanes I feel it is probably unlikely to help, but I would be interested to know if it fixes the issue.
@WalrusAircraft sure, which airplane would you like to link it with?

@Baldovino I'm not going to disqualify anyone for using the shaking glitch (or, as I like to call it, the shaking feature).
Dat cockpit.
@Smasher Okay, I think I may have fixed the issue. Let me know if you are still seeing it.
Try logging out and logging back in again. Also what web browser are you using?
I just ran a validation check on this tournament. If you did not receive a notification then your design is good to go. No news is good news.
@AtomicFerret007 It has been a while, maybe we can do one of those next, so probably mid March.
