Leave shakers out of the next glider tournament, or give them their own. Here's why.

glid·er
'glid?r/
noun
1.
a light aircraft that is designed to fly for long periods without using an engine.
2.
a person or thing that glides.
"the flying lemur is an efficient glider as well as climber"
Might I refer you to the first context. "without using an engine."
en·gine
'enj?n/Submit
noun
1.
a machine with moving parts that converts power into motion.
The glitching, internally generated momentum provided by the glitch easily falls under the description of an engine, converting the power of the glitch (which utilizes spazzing, moving parts) into motion, which it obviously does.

So I submit, respectfully to you, Mr. Garrison, this argument.

What if the devs add something to detect violent movement that can alert them? That could work.

    @Tully2001 That'd work.

@Tully2001 That's true--- Fair enough, yeah.

@Tully2001 To be fair to the first idea, there it is possible to make a glider that's just that fast. I like the second one, though-- another way would just be to immediately ban the craft upon its discovery in the tournament. Like-- have someone moderating the stream. Should any shakers pop in, delete that plane and begin a new bracket.

@AndrewGarrison To make it easier to moderate out shakers, you could set a limit on the number of wings / stabilisers that can be on the plane.

@exosuit A shaker is an aircraft that have just been popularized in the latest glider tournament. It is a craft with a series of wing along each side of the aircraft, where each wing has another directly below it. Each wing has a special weight, and as the aircraft begins to move, it fluctuates and glitches violently. This can go one of two ways. If you do it incorrectly, the plane either crashes or explodes. If you do it right, you can complete glider tournament courses in less that 30 seconds.

@Sauce You're a very rude person, you know that? .-.
@AndrewGarrison I understand. Thank you so much for considering this PoV and hearing us out! I really appreciate this.

I agree, they shouldn't be allowed anymore. It was fun but they won't be allowed in future glider tournaments. It will be a pain to moderate that though.

this is why I agreed with you (on this) any legit gliders had no chance against the shakers

I've done it once, but that was pure accident, it just exploded when it started to shake

True. I saw a shaker do the course in 0:31. No glider can do that. Gliders didn't stand a chance on a tournament for gliders.
