Ok quick update on my build. I have the fuselage all built with the tailplanes too, and part of the folding wings. Just have the outer portion left to do and a little more framing on the fuselage as well as the guns, torpedoes, unguided rockets, and landing gear. Will probably upload it this weekend if I continue at this speed.
Ok so quick update on my IL-58. I only have some of the fuselage not farther than the dorsal gun turret, so I’ll have to dump Farming Simulator 20 for a while and floor it on my creation. This will probably be one of the last challenges that I will participate in because I am actually running low on inspiration to build these complex aircraft; unless of course someone starts an unusual one like a rocket aircraft challenge.
Hmm. Interesting how my plane’s performance is 6/10 even though it is actually pretty realistic. Hey it was your first challenge so I’ll give you a hand at that man.
Ikr. I though it being very good and expected the upvote count to rival my PBSh-1. Its very rare that you see an aircraft with retractable rockets. @Mustang51
Thanks man. It was a rushed build since the deadline is the 20th and my XML people finished my request relatively late. I was having all sorts of problems with the landing gear colliding with the fuselage, and getting the bicycle type to stay relatively level while having the outriggers tucked underneath the wingtips. I also couldn’t find an accurate 3-view of the airplane, since they either have the inlet screwed up, or the main landing gear/outriggers are in crude quality. Would have been nice if the original blueprints had survived. Your right for it feeling a little too simple, cause I felt the same way when comparing to my previous 300-some part extravaganza.
