For anyone who's curious about what actually happened:
Air Canada Flight 143 Quebec to Alberta had to perform an emergency landing in Manitoba, in 1983 I believe. This was the period when Canada switched from Imperial to Metric. Instead of being filled with 23000 something Kilograms of Fuel, the air port gave them 23000 something POUNDS of fuel. A kilo is about 2.2 Pounds, so the Boeing 767 left with less than HALF the fuel they needed for the trip.
Captain Bob Pearson diverted to Winnipeg, but he was too late. After both engines flamed out, Winnipeg Air Traffic Control and the Co-Pilot deduced they wouldn't make it to Winnipeg. Instead, The Co-Pilot recommended they divert to Gimli AFB, an abandoned military installation, which was closer. During their final approach, Pilot Bob Pearson realized they were still too high and going too fast.
To bring the plane down and reduce their speed, he performed a "Side Slip" where you use the Ailerons at the edge of the wings to turn the plane sideways on a tilt, and the rudder to maintain your forward direction. Something that had never been done on a passenger airliner. They successfully landed, Air Canada originally partially blamed the pilots, until they had their best, and most experienced pilots attempt the same thing in a simulator.
Every single pilot they put through the simulator crashed the plane. I'm not talking like a really hard emergency landing, I'm talking hit the ground and disintegration here. Pearson put the plane down so well that Air Canada repaired it and it continued service until it was retired in 2008.
@Destroyerz117 car engines sound like an old almost broken down school bus in this game, how do I know this? The bus I go on to school is literally a perfect example of this.
Ok, WHAT IN THE WORLD IS THIS BROWN PEARL THING, I've seen it in a post that SledDriver made, but I've never actually been informed about it at all, can someone plz tell me what this is?
This is so friggin awesome!! I absolutely LOVE your use of the helicopter rotor, that looks so cool! For not uploading in a while, this is a great thing to see!
I love how you made the bombs fall out in random patterns, instead of just a straight line of bombs, not many creations here do that like a real bomber, great job!
@Griffinthedragon I don't think it works with a space in between @ and FastDan. Also, this thing is really cool, I love the color choice too, great job!
God-Dangit!!! I had this exact same idea, but my three and a half brain cells thought that nobody would like it, so I guess I'm just an idiot. This is really cool though, probably a lot better than what I could've done.
Yeah, that or this. Because who even needs flares or some form of protection from missiles when you have guns that completely surround your aircraft in chaos, ultimately destroying any missile within a one-mile radius. Or a 100 mile radius. Kinda depends on how much you like to fire the guns.
@Minecraftpoweer oh, so as the missile was headed towards you, the magnets would kinda push it away? Cool concept, I have a good feeling that most other players are going to want magnets that repel objects too, maybe it'll catch on to the Devs.
@BlueCitrus
@FLATTEREARTH
@Minecraftpoweer
Aww... welp, that kinda puts the kabosh on my idea...
I actually didn't even want to mention my idea so nobody would steal it, but now that I know that it's impossible, I may as well share. I wanted to make a realistically functioning railgun in SimplePlanes, but I guess that'll never happen.
@jamesPLANESii huh, alright then. Lol now that you say that, I think I wanna reenact the scene in SimplePlanes, lol
This is what happens when a Mirage does itself a

Hmm, something seems a little suspicious about that YouTube link...
+2Cool! I've flown a Cessna-172, which is a lot less cooler than the plane you flew!
Not my comment, just a comment on the video.

+1What in the high hell am I looking at
@BuiltBionixInd10 umm...
Ok, two things:
- I've been updated to 1.8 for a while now.
- What in the world are you talking about?
Also, I'm on mobile, and my potato IPad would literally spontaneously combust if I tried to run this.
@DuckMint Yeah, hopefully that gets fixed sometime soon.
I've never seen a more beautiful map in all of SimplePlanes, absolutely amazing!
+1Lel first
This is very good though, I like the backstory!
@Kyle123344 what's a limbo? I'm 99% sure that you aren't talking about the car. Lol
@Destroyerz117 car engines sound like an old almost broken down school bus in this game, how do I know this? The bus I go on to school is literally a perfect example of this.
Whatever the hell it is, it looks amazing!™
@Kyle123344 lol, why?
@CptJacobson thanks!
Absolutely incredible, the detailing is amazing, and the attention to functionality is great on this, wonderful job!
+1These are beautiful, I never quite realized how many amazing artists are on SimplePlanes!
+1This is really good, great job!
+1@Notaleopard how recent is it? Was it part of 1.8, or has it been here this whole time without us knowing?
"That's gotta be the best pirate I've ever seen..."
"So it would seem..."

Damn, that's amazing! Way better than what I could do.
I love old open-seat race cars like this, so cool!
This is really cool, I like the MASH logo on the fuselage!
I like how it's fast, yet it looks almost like a Churchill I, Lol...
Nice tank btw, pretty good!

Imma definitely join this, question though: Are XML Modded parts allowed? I love the pixel-art too, looks very nice.

@HellRaiser Wat?
How and also how
This has to be your biggest creation, by far!!
That is actually so insane, whoever thought of that is an absolute legend.
What the hecc is the brown pearl
+2@Zyvx lol, thanks!
@Nerfaddict lol I agree with you, the treibflugel is pretty strange looking. The F-32 though is one THICC Boi.
Can you post the tank so we can help?
Yee, and I can not stress it enough,
HAW
@DerekSP I. MUST. CREATE. THAT.

@Giggitymerf that's ok, enjoy your Uranium Phosphate Lazer-Cannons!
@Minecraftpoweer lol, same! How would the Anti-Missile defense work?
This looks great, keep up the amazing work!
This is amazing, how on mars did you make this? (Get it? "How on mars?" Since it was made in a factory on mars? Sorry, I'll stop...)
