Well, yes, the fuselage is noticeably longer, and the vertical stabilizer needs to be about half the size it is, and the horizontal stabilizer needs to be elongated a little, more half-kite shaped. Like I said, I hate to criticize because I love your stuff, but the Dr.1 is super iconic.
Man, I had to look this one up because of the unusual design. Very good entry. I have to say that the actual plane is definitely the most unique plane ever entered into the competition for the Schneider trophy. Interesting choice, not bad at all.
@PlanesOfOld Probably a plane, honestly. Fuel efficiency in this game isn't that great, and a boat wouldn't utilize it's fuel as effectively as a plane... unless you made a ship almost completely out of fuel blocks, that is...
@ hypnoticchicken that sounds like a hardware issue, not a design flaw on my part. I've had her in the water plenty of times without problem. Seems like a poor reason to rate two stars.
@PlanesOfOld So, question. If/when I post the Schneider cup challenge, are you going to assist with judging, or were you planning on entering said competition?
@JacobHardy64 I guess I was tired when I analyzed the results. In any case. I already dealt the winnings out for the contest, so a tie is the best I can offer you. I do feel really bad about that.
@JacobHardy64 Hmm, strange. Actually I did judge yours, I guess I over-looked it when I was analyzing my final results. I have your stall speed recorded as 40mph after testing. Well... This is an unfortunate error on my part. How would you feel about a tie for first?
Pretty good. Not perfect, but flies well. Some retractable landing gear would make it more aerodynamic, and increase your maximum airspeed. Also, I suggest moving your elevators closer to the fuselage and your ailerons closer to your wingtips.
Well, I can tell you that your landing gear arrangement poses an immediate problem to your design. A standard tricycle arrangement, with your rear wheels just behind your center of mass would allow your plane to rotate easier on take-off, so you don't have to run out of runway to take off. Otherwise, this isn't a bad plane at all.
@Vikdesigns Congratulations on winning first place! You may choose to indicate 5 planes of your choice for me to rate, or I can rate 5 random planes.
@Engini Congratulations on winning second place! You may choose to indicate 3 planes for me to rate, or I can rate 3 random planes.
@MrWhiskers85 Congratulations on third place! You may choose to indicate a plane for me to rate, or I can choose a random plane.
Congratulations to all our winners!
@Authros Thanks!
Looks like a variation of the Long-EZ.
@UltimatePilot What is the due date for this challenge?
@Ctracerx2 That's an extremely narrow-minded opinion.
@PlanesOfOld I'm pretty sure you've got me beat at This point.
@PlanesOfOld Cool man, I understand. I wasn't trying to bash your plane or anything.
@PlanesOfOld In fact, if you just fixes the horizontal and vertical stabilizers the fuselage length wouldn't be that apparent.
Hate to criticize your work man, but your proportions are way of on this one.
Very cool
@PlanesOfOld Too much work, I'll just say it looks cool and move on.
Well, I'd love to fly this plane, but every time I load it into the game the tail falls apart.
@Authros Thanks!

For a plane you "threw together" This is pretty spiffy. Nice job!
Wowzers! Great build!
@PlanesOfOld I understand this. I agree with you. But Kevpilot is entitled to his opinion.
@PlanesOfOld Eh. You can't force someone to change their opinion. I see both of your points, and I think it's best to just agree to disagree.
Awesome as always!
@PlanesOfOld Here's a plane you can use to explore the ocean. That's what gave me the idea to do this replica :D
@PlanesOfOld Probably a plane, honestly. Fuel efficiency in this game isn't that great, and a boat wouldn't utilize it's fuel as effectively as a plane... unless you made a ship almost completely out of fuel blocks, that is...
@PlanesOfOld Yeah man. Feel free.
Ah! Macchi sure did make some sexy planes.
@PlanesOfOld It's up to you man.
Due date set as July 10th @PlanesOfOld @ablebody @Jmicah4 @KingDeadShot
@PlanesOfOld That's a cool idea. Even if the contest falls through we can just make it a project between us to make all the planes.
@Austinowen Yeah, it is a little wonky on the controls. Next version should be better.
@PlanesOfOld Cool. BTW, the little decorative model plane in the save file is a flying model too (minus the sign of course) :D I couldn't help myself.
@JacobHardy64 it's already posted. Check my planes.
@KingDeadshot I'll post a deadline once we have more participants.
Real slick man. Looks almost just like the real thing.
@ hypnoticchicken that sounds like a hardware issue, not a design flaw on my part. I've had her in the water plenty of times without problem. Seems like a poor reason to rate two stars.
@PlanesOfOld so... which is it? O_o
Cool. I've got my own pond racer that I built, just never really thought it was good enough to upload.
@PlanesOfOld So, question. If/when I post the Schneider cup challenge, are you going to assist with judging, or were you planning on entering said competition?
@Allstarship Thanks!
@Mrwhiskers85 done :D
Neat! Looks a lot like EDI from the movie Stealth.
@JacobHardy64 Alright, I updated the contest results. I'm really sorry about that, man. Any particular planes you want rated?
@JacobHardy64 I guess I was tired when I analyzed the results. In any case. I already dealt the winnings out for the contest, so a tie is the best I can offer you. I do feel really bad about that.

Awesome! Good to see my floats still being put to good use :D
I don't know if I'll enter, but here's a five stare to bump up your rating. Hope you get more entries!
@GKrollin Hey, thanks! Glad she performed well for you.
Good job spamming a bunch of green planes.
WalrusAircraft? More like WalrusShipYards

@Eric314 Seriously, not even an explanation?
