@SupremeDorian oh dear. Sounds like a hideous burden. Fortunately I will help so that you aren’t so miserable. I know it’s going to suck, but I feel it is my duty to play the game to help with the grueling process of making sure it’s fun.

In all seriousness, guys chill you’re not helping by telling someone who has made one post in their entire life to “cry about it iPad kid”. The immaturity in these comments is wild. I know at least one of you is a grown adult.
On iOS you can’t because the file format for mods is against Apple’s terms of service as they would be running unsigned code. On Android they rely on libraries that are only available for 32-bit formats but Android requires 64-bit compatibility. So in short mod support used to be a thing in mobile but no longer is. For that you need a PC.
THIS IS NOT a stupid question, the game doesn’t really explain that mod support isn’t available and it might not be easily searchable.
@TheFlightGuySP Ok if you're getting 130 then mine isn't too bad then lol
My guess would be old netcode and old server software with a newish game so yeh lack of refinement.
Thank you, means my ping will be good. Trying it out now.
edit: 146 ping could be better but I'll take it. Prolly an issue on my end being a thousand miles away lol
I mean, if they're planning to make a build for VR platforms, they might as well, right? There's no reason they can't do it as long as the porting process is pretty straightforward they might as well shoot for the biggest possible audience.

and some basic photography principles such as composition are both pretty huge. The images are bugged on that second link but you should still be able to get the gist.
@UnitedinOne90 it can if there's an error such as not being able to embed the video, since it starts trying to publish as soon as you click the button so if it fails instead of just sending an error message like it would if it failed to upload a plane or something it just doesn't actually publish the video publicly. This could probably happen with forums, but you'd probably have to pull some serious shenanigans like uploading right before the servers go offline or something.
That's not a forum, that's just a video post that isn't set up correctly. Sometimes if you try to upload a video it makes it unlisted first, I don't remember exactly how this works.
Dang bro, I remember when you were a bronze rank yapping about some creepypasta and nobody really knew what to do with it. Here we are, both platinum except you have almost double my points. Congratulations on the journey
You know what would be cool?
A contest to get to be one of the stock vehicles in the game. People could build their best possible aircraft, and the winners could be ported into SP2 as the defaults (think Pigpen, Kicking Fish, Etc.) It's kind of a win-win as the community gets fun and engagement, and Jundroo gets hype for the upcoming game as well as free content to put in said upcoming game.
edit: this is the most upvoted comment on this post, now you have to do it 😈
edit 2: nvm Andrew stole my spot and they don't have to do it :(
@Boeing727200F even if you download it on another places wifi the Virtual Power Nugget doesn't work? Like if you use your phone hotspot to install it onto your device?
@Theinfinite that's the problem right there. The game isn't smart enough to just recognize 3D models as things that the game can use, if that was the case you wouldn't need a computer to mod SP in the first place. Here's a video I made that shows you how to make a mod map, I understand that's not what you're trying to do but this should give you a rough idea of the process that's required. https://www.simpleplanes.com/Videos/View/1918683/SimplePlanes-modding-tutorial
@Graingy in America we drive tractors from the womb!
Only slightly joking. I do recall sitting on a grandparent's lap and steering a tractor at maybe 4 or 5 years old.
When you create a mod it should iirc create two files, a .SPMOD and a .SPMODINFO file. You'll need to upload the SPMODINFO file before it will let you upload or link to the .SPMOD file. It should be in the same file folder as the normal .SPMOD file.
I believe this is to prevent people from uploading mods that they did not create.
Also, aren't you on Android?
@Graingy
1. Yeah it would be impossible for them to trace it back to you based on file alone.
2. When you hit the "start creating mod" button in the mod tools tab.
3. yeah there's a gazillion ways to do it, just find a file hosting service you like and you can link to it.
4. Yeah the f1 means "final release" or something like that, it is the correct version.
Ok respectfully you have 2000 points, there are literally thousands of people with more and no one really cares. The forums are not meant for stream of consciousness stuff. It's weird that it got taken down as this is not explicitly stated in the rules, this is hardly a super egregious offense but still, an announcement for a trophy at an arbitrary value (like not even a predefined points milestone, bruh just wait until 5K) is not something that the average person cares about. So to be fair I understand why you would be upset but I think you need to take a step back and realize that to most people other than you that post was pretty insignificant. Heck, I've done it, we've all done it, but calling people a nazi for taking down your post is a bit uncalled for. Also gonna nitpick you a little bit, free speech is not one of the "unalienable rights" in the Declaration of independence, we're talking about Life, Liberty, and Pursuit of Happiness. The government cannot take away your free speech, but places like this can. in this instance to keep from clogging up the forums.
I do really hope none of this came across in a negative way, just trying to be a bit more subjective here and see why people's opinions aren't lining up with yours.
PS threatening to leave does nothing, you already bought the game and they only get ad revenue if you're logged out
@Graingy
okey dokey then,
1. It doesn't save any data beyond things that you manually enter (i.e mod name, your username, etc.) and stuff like date created. You can also scrub typical file metadata like date created with some website or something if you're paranoid.
2. Basically if you get the title of the mod wrong when you're starting to make it you can't change it.
3. Yeah you just have to drop a link to a google drive, dropbox, or similar. The site can host files if they're small (iirc its anything under 2 mb) but most mod maps will be above that limit. If you're paranoid about this, set up a google drive account with a burner email from like emailondeck or something.
4. Nothing has changed to my knowledge, you do need a specific version of unity but that should be available for download.
@SupremeDorian oh dear. Sounds like a hideous burden. Fortunately I will help so that you aren’t so miserable. I know it’s going to suck, but I feel it is my duty to play the game to help with the grueling process of making sure it’s fun.

@SupremeDorian 🫨
This is gonna go hard in SP2.
+1Also, welcome back.
Add Cookie Clicker as an easter egg.

Ok should work now.

@WisconsinStatePolice gold rank was where it was at
Wonder how feasible it would be to make a track timer as a build. I might have to give it a shot.

+1The sheer manual labor alone it would have taken to do this is absurd. Great job.
+1Most people here haven't played that game. Try Googling, or Reddit/Discord/Forums relevant to GRB
dang bro I really got fooled by this authentic and meaningful post.
@Someguywhomakesmods idk that's between you and your filesystem, I really can't help with that. Try searching, looking for it in other places
@Graingy that’s what I was going to comment.

@Someguywhomakesmods mod tools are at this link, for some reason that's a direct download link so when you click on it the files will just download
@Someguywhomakesmods I really don't want to have to get Unity all set up and everything, I'll give you help and advice if needed though.
@Boeing727200F also Edge has a built in VPN that you might wanna try

@Theinfinite wait so you're saying you downloaded a 3d file and then just changed the extension to .spmod and .spinfo?
@Theinfinite what do you mean it doesn't upload? You're going to have to be a bit more specific.
@Theinfinite Ok, explain why it's not working and I'll see if I can help.
it could drive six years ago in some states
Looks really nice. My 3D printer unfortunately broke :(
