@RepublicofWrightIsles @X99STRIKER Got another quick compilation. I would suggest downloading the images, and full screening them at the max size for the full effect.
I've never played the first two, tried the Crash game on Switch (got it as a gift), but couldn't get back that damn wall level. Currently lent to someone else, though I still own it.
@THEOKPILOT Long-term play with high graphics just feels wasteful.
Still disappointed that PS5 doesn't get the raytracing option unlocked, though. Would be cool to see. Wonder if it doesn't have the power...
@ShinyGemsBro It is!!!
@Graingy That's actually a really good point. But I can't really run any other realistic games (due to them being even more unoptimized than MC), so it will have to do.
Limiting FPS can actually stabilize it, making any game seem a lot less stuttery. Even short dips can really make the entire gameplay feel laggy and awful if they are bad enough.
Judging from the orange hue of light in general and the clouds, this has to be Sildur's Vibrant Shaders.
.
If your PC is going peanut butter even with the Lite version of the mod, you're best off without shaders
Minecraft is Minecraft. Any attempt to make it "more real" is kinda futile, unless you're doing a photoshoot.
FPS does change gameplay. It makes it smoother and easier to process as movement. Minecraft at 10fps is a slideshow, 20fps is painful. 30fps is about as low as can be tolerated and even that feels off.
It feeds more information, unlike fancy shadows. Smooth lighting gets a pass on the premise that without it the game kinda hurts to look at (and depth is very difficult to judge, especially on stone hills).
Exceedingly high FPS, however, is a complete waste. I've limited my laptop to 85 (out of 144 the screen can supposedly do), and even that's probably excessive.
High-end graphics, unless being used to feed more information to the user (generating actual, not-AI bullshit, frames [to a certain point], increased resolution, etc.), are a waste of processing power and electricity. Unless in cold weather and in the absence of a heat pump, where a conventional electric heater would be working in its place, of course.
@Randomplayer Optifine. Unfortunetly, there is only so much it can do.
@Graingy looks up decadense in dictionary
"moral or cultural decline as characterized by excessive indulgence in pleasure or luxury." No idea what that means.
@Randomplayer My computer WILL NOT survive that. I barely got this running without crashing. But I have heard of that mod and maybe will try it regardless.

@THEOKPILOT ooo, nifty! :D
@keiyronelleavgeek566
Default MC Texture pack, Sildur's Shaders for the enhanced visual effects.
wow!
what texture pack do you use? :3

@Graingy I really only have like 3 games on for. Didn't get many for it.
A Jurassic World Lego game,
Nickelodeon Kart,
and Crash Bandicoot.
Oof.
I don't play much either, but PS4 became... intolerably slow.
@Graingy
I only have a PS4.
Also I barely play Minecraft. And most of the time I don't use shaders.

@sleevefifties50 Sildur's Shaders, Enhanced First Person mod. 1.20.1 Forge.

Very nice, what mods

Also HTC pain again.....
@Graingy But shaders make the game more real. More enjoyable. Fps also doesn't change gameplay, but I wouldn't call going from 10 to 60 fps a waste.
Draws more. Doesn't impact gameplay.
@Graingy
I don't really see anything wasteful in it. It doesn't draw a ton of power.

This is what I call, as of now, digital decadence.
@THEOKPILOT you have any optimization mods? I don’t have Minecraft on PC but I’d recommend getting one
@Randomplayer My computer WILL NOT survive that. I barely got this running without crashing. But I have heard of that mod and maybe will try it regardless.
Since you can run shaders, you should download distant horizons. It looks really good
@32 Thanks!!
But if I turn the draw distance any further i'm gonna need to send you a video of my laptop burning.
